Welcomw ro the club! And yes, the TD-3 is legit! Clones like the TD-3 make the 303 sound accessible to most producers and live performing artists. It's amazing for the 303 Acid scene. I use 303 clones and emulation. Still dream of owning the original, one day.
I’ve got the Behringer TD-3, the Roland TB-03 and an original TB-303, the clone and reissue are good, both are probably better for programming but definitely don’t sound as good, there is a certain warmth to the sound they are missing. I have to say though, the TD-3 is the better of the TB-03, so good choice, especially for the cost!!

Recently got a yellow too, but the TD-3-MO. Also got a Volca Bass, duel acid lines.
@@Engineeer I was using a Freebass FB 383 for years but it's no longer working. It didn't sound very much like a 303 but it was ok for what it was.
