I know that this is an older video, but it still applies today for those who make earrings. Thank you for highlighting the fact that certain shapes require turning one of the earrings the opposite way so that it is not backwards when you wear it. No one seems to mention it. You would not wear your left shoe on your right foot. Making two exact earrings on some styles means one will face the wrong direction.
You're a sweetheart for making this tutorial! Thank you so much! I have leftover fabric from sewing and it occurred to me to make them into earrings but I needed someone's guide to follow that had already successfully done this project. Thank you!
I make my clothes as well, now I can have my earrings in the same fabric as my outfit. 😊 Hello from Queensland Australia and thanks for sharing your knowledge and skills with us.

Does the fabric Mod Podge provide enough of a protective finish or would you ever consider applying a protective coating that protects and adds shine? If so, what might your use? Perhaps a spray adhesive such as Aleenes acrylic sealer? I use this on some pins I make and it provides a nice finish. What do you think?
Best video ever
Love it
Thank you!!!
Thank you for this tutorial. Where can i find the packaging for the earring.
Simple and yet so beautiful! We don't have ankara fabrics, can I use any fabric available of my choice?

Simply beautiful! What do you do to the sides of the earrings? Do you leave them as is with the wood showing?
Thank you! Yes, I leave them with the wood showing on the sides. I experimented with painting the sides black in the past, but I prefer the wood look.
Nice 👍🏾
superb
Thank you!
THANK YOU SIS
Mahreeyah Asimel You're welcome!!!
Can you put resin on the fabric when you finish.
Please tell me how to keep your leather earring from curling at the corners do you have to put bees wax on the back
I hope you reply. I followed your video step by step. It was great thank you! But if my earrings sit on top of each other after they’ve fully dried they stick together. I’m intending to sell these so they can’t be doing that. Is there some kind of sealant to help with this?
Where did u get the Africa shape from or what machine did u make it on please?
Beautiful earrings! Where did you get the wooden pieces?
We're would I get those wooden earings in Kenya
hi, thanks for your video. I just wanna know what kind of glue you uses for the fabric. the white one. thanks
Mareme Sarr Hi! You're welcome. I used fabric mod podge, it's the one with the blue label
Beautiful creations and how do you create the hole for the earrings?
Makeda Polite Thank you. The holes are pre drilled by the seller
Nice
Where did you get Africa print from
Where did u get the wooden pieces ?
Nice video pls what are the names of those glue and items you used just in case I want to buy them.
The glue is called Fabric Modge Podge, you can find a full list of the items here: montoyamayo.com/diy-fabric-covered-wooden-earrings/
Is it hard to find the hole since it's covered with fabric?
Where did you get the africa wood
Thanks sis i love... It would be helpful if you posted d name of d glue an other pieces necessary
But give thanks i
RoyalRas Queen Thank you! Yeah this is one of my first videos, I have to go back and edit the description box with the supplies mentioned
Love it! 2 things are the sides bare and what type of fabric are you using
Shalonda Coleman Thank you! Yes, the sides are bare, but because they’re laser cut the sides are a little darker, giving them an almost stained wood look. I used 100% cotton fabric (Africa wax print)
If you want to cover the sides, magic marker (black, red, silver, gold, and on and on). I like to color the sides before putting the material on so the marker doesn't bleed onto the fabric. I love the video and I'm gonna try using her steps in applying the mod podge. I think that is better than the method I use. Great video.
Thanks...but i want to know the name of the glue you've used or you've put on the Ankara?
You're welcome. I used Mod Podge for fabric, it's the blue one. I used this glue for the entire project
how do I put a hole in the wood can you please tell me?
margaret Bowling Hi! I bought the wooden pieces with a pre drilled hole. I
What kind fabric covered do you use?
Great tutorial, why do you sand the earring post?
Naturalgal Sheilla Thank you! Sanding helps to roughen the surface which helps to strengthen the glue bond.
Gi, where do I ge the wooden pieces?
Can this be washed?
Thank you so much, an what type of modge podge did u use?
You're welcome! Fabric modge podge, the one with the blue label
Montoya Mayo Thank you
Do u know how to do the fabric so it's covering the sides? I've searched so menu videos but can't find good to do it.
I spray paint mine and let them dry before applying glue. That way the edges aren't whatever color I choose.
love fabric..where can i find some?
Hi! I buy the majority of my fabric from Etsy.com I type in 'African Wax Print Fabric by the yard'
Loved tutorial!!! Are the earrings heavy? Are is this light weight wood?
Peppermynt Dedeaux Thank you! It's a light weight plywood. It's only about 1/8 inch thick.
where did you get the wooden
earrings with precut hold
Where did you get the woofing pieces from?
LovelyK Tv Hello. I got them from a shop on Etsy.com called Texas Art Craft. The direct links are in the blog post. Check the description box for the link to the post
the video missed something, after completing the process of on the wooden earring, how did you cut the excess fabric around the earring?
She used an Precision Knife
Hi, why glue on the right side of fabrics?
Good video! Where did you get the wood pieces??
Please will you repond to the above, I also want to know
Can I use normal mod podge?
Edith Guevara I haven't tried it, but I think it would work fine
how did you cut out the remainder fabric??
Exacto knife
Where can you get the wooden earrings from please
Hi. There is a link in the description box for my blog post. Within the blog post I linked all the shapes.
Great tutorial. I would like to give it a try but I haven't seen that type of glue where I am from... Could I skip the step of adding mod podge?
Thank you! I have only made these using mod podge, but you can experiment with other types of glue. Maybe try researching an equivalent type of glue to mod podge in your area. Where are you from?
Hola.
I tried this and the earrings are still sticky after a day of drying . What did I do wrong
Use a thin layer of glue to seal
What size is your cutting mat please???
shantel holder 36 inch by 24 inch
what type of glue did you use?
Bella Ebi I used fabric modge podge, it's the one with the blue label
What wood do you use?
cavies12345 I used a plywood. They are pre cut. The link to the shop is in the blog post
What’s the name of the glues you used.
Modge Podge- the blue one, for fabric
In the beginning why did you put mod podge on the right side of the fabric??
And at the end as well
I applied it to the right side in the beginning because the glue can seep through when applied so it looks better when applied to the right side. At the end I added another layer of glue to seal it
They are light weight for ears
