Per the new Game Manual released today 1/28 this action is not legal. Revised , and Note 2 of to state that Rapid Load Balls must be placed by a Loader in a stationary position, and may not be rolled or bounced into a Robot
New revised rule as of Jan 28. This is called out as illegal and will lead to disqualification “Version 3.0 - January 28, 2025 Revised , and Note 2 of to state that Rapid Load Balls must be placed by a Loader in a stationary position, and may not be rolled or bounced into a Robot”
This is illegal in multiple ways. Based on the Game manual quoted below. RSC4. a - "Starting Zone 2 (i.e., the one closest to the Loading Station) is the only Starting Zone that may be used for Rapid Loading." - Rapid load for Driver Skills must only be from Zone 2. This robot is clearly in Zone 1 and no parts are extended to Zone 2. The ball is not being placed in Zone 2 rather being rolled into Zone 1. First rule break. SG5.d - "Rapid Load Balls may only be removed from that Starting Zone by a Robot action (e.g., picked up by an intake, pushed by a moving Robot, etc.). Rapid Load Balls cannot be bounced or rolled out of that Starting Zone by a Loader. See Note 2 below." - The ball is clearly being rolled from Zone 2 to all the way to Zone 1 in this video. Another rule break SG5. Note 2: "Although it is not required, placing the Ball gently down onto the Field without any additional motion is highly recommended. Unorthodox strategies, such as “tossing” or “rolling” the Ball, will not receive any “benefit of the doubt” if the Head Referee cannot clearly confirm that all criteria have been met (especially clauses “B” and “D”)." - Clearly the ball is being rigorously rolled fed into the robot's intake. Third rule break
@@deepakchandraraj9966 very well put, I agree with you on all these points. Until an official ruling is made by the game design committee, this is the ruling I will be making aty competitions.
rolling is legal sg5 means that if the ball was illegally rolled it is considered illegal and has no benefit of doubt. RSC4 is legal because the robot is not extending into zone two. Zone two is beside zone one, not across zone two. SG5.d Seems to be already removed as of the latest game manual update.
also sg5.d refers to that the ball just needs to touch the robot the robot is still "removing" the ball from the rapid load station with the bridge intake mechanisim
@@KineticForceRobotics20235z just because the score is officially counted by “referees who didn’t read the rules” doesn’t mean it’s legal. Go read the new rule revised as of today Jan 28. Rolling the ball is called out as completely illegal
Per SG5b in Game Manual 3.0, this is now considered a violation. Because ball must be introduced (placed at a stationary position) most likely it will be Score Affecting if I am the referee.
This is not a valid score. This team violated rule : Rapid Load Balls may only be removed from the Starting Zone by a Robot action (e.g., picked up by an intake, pushed by a moving Robot, etc.). Rapid Load Balls cannot be bounced or rolled out of that Starting Zone by a Loader)
@@b0xer0 If you look at where the intake is, it does not cross into the starting zone. If they had only placed the ball legally in the starting zone, meaning no part of the ball extended beyond the starting zone, the robot intake could not have retrieved it.
@@b0xer0watch it closely, the extended parts doesn’t have an intake roller. It’s just couple of beams. The intake is not sucking the balls, it’s being forcefully fed into the robot intake which is in starting zone 1. The rule clearly states that the rapid load zone is zone 2. And the ball should not roll out of zone 2. This is illegal in all possible ways.

That is false. It is very clear that the far part of the intake robot is in starting zone 2. The ball is being rolled into the intake but since the roller is rolling the ball in the ball is being removed by the robot. Therefore this is legal.

it didnt get rolled out of the zone - it got rolled INTO the zone, but the robot intake sucked it out of the zone. 100% legit

Dude they counted it as not illegal
You guys made long intake illegal bruhhh.
nice!
banned 💀
Plus you guys didn't see the judges literally crouching to see my arm?
But the loader was rolling the ball into the robot which is violating the rule
it was a legal run when it was made, as rolling was not banned until recently
The position of the drum is incorrect
this is illegal now as of 2-10-25
Too bad they're not following the rules of the game😂

Now not😢

Ok thats awesome….but you aren’t aloud to move the balls yourself the robot has to do that

Will they go to the worlds?
I dont think they qualified
this team literally change the law of the game😅
yea basically
Quit yapping
You cannot roll the ball
they got it banned 💀
