I am a non - jain , i did updhan tap ( living as a jain sadhu for 47 days with austerities and penances ( without touching or using any kind of electronic equipment ) and trust me it was the best experience and best spiritual blissed feeling i had ever had in my entire life till now . By that experience i can easily and confidently tell that they actually live a much much better and happy life than we do , and most importantly they will empower the lives of millions of people without expecting anything in return . Jai Jinshashan , Jai Mahaveer .
How do they believe if they will surely get moksh after doing this?? I respect the religion but i think this is to grt rid of the future difficulties. I have been seeing these deeksha videos and getting depressed and feeling bad that kids are taking up these! No offense my opinion!

Even I felt something weird after watching these types of video.I mean,in order to escape life,the never ending challenges and what not,these people just choose the easiest way.I don't want to sound offensive but at the same time I feel it's not the right thing to do.Parents bring up their children with so much of hope.I respect these people but I don't support them.I know it's extremely difficult for a person to leave everything with their own wish but it's not something good for the youth.Hope for their best!

This is completely wrong practice. This is not Jainism Jainism is to live your normal life without explanation but with taking responsibility. Not running away from it. Taking care of your family comes first. Charity began at home.
when you talk abt responsibilities I hope you consider those families whose children have gone foreign to study and are now settled there and their parents are living in Vrudhashrams. When they wake up in morning and have their children's faces in their mind they have tears in their eyes and these parents when they wake up and see their child as a sadhu or sadhvi they feel proud for them. It gives them happiness. So don't ever talk about responsibilities in these types of videos because this is purity and don't ever post such comments. Respect others!

A wrong practice. What is use of achieving this. Self control will be challenging if distractions are there.. These guys remove all distractions itself. It's a brain wash. After sometime you loose memories of worldly things. But this self control is of no use if not channelized into achieving productive things. Self contribution is required later not Bhashan baaji that priests do..
