    R.I.P Chadwick Boseman. Not a nice way to go. While BP was not my cup of tea and fairly mediocre, that was not Chadwick's fault. Always remember to seek medical help if you suspect cancer. If you do get it then try and fight the good fight against it like Chadwick did.

    Whenever a controversial film comes out, basing its marketing on social justice angles or political causes, I always enjoy the big RUclipsr reviewers sharing their negative opinion. I have seen your channel in this light a couple times, and had no idea you were in reality a small time reviewer. The depth of your reviews, and edge of your satirical blade is on the same tier, if not higher than the 1+ million subbed reviewers. Here's something I don't understand....why are wakandans upset at white people for what happened in the past?
    1) If they're a tribalistic isolationist colony, they could really care less to be honest for other blacks, so this animosity towards whites makes no sense. Progressives like to think that all the tribes live in harmony and are part of some grand homogenous African nation. Bullshit, nepotism and inter tribal warfare is guaranteed in these types of governments. Remember Rwanda?
    2) I'm pretty sure no one knew where the hell wakanda even was until recently, so how the hell would the apartheid government affect them at all?

      I was a bit confused myself, if they cared about colonialism, why didn't they do anything about it? Did this isolationist country develop a modern liberal opinion of colonialism at the same time as most everywhere else?
      Why did this super powerful nation stand by if it gave a crap about the fate of other people on their continent? Why do they care now if not then? Are they going to apologise to their neighbours for not intervening?

      I hate the way they always portray Africa as this homogeneous culture where everyone is just kind of clumped under this vague "African" identity, like that's the single important thing about them and their culture. Never mind all the many different cultures and groups spread over a vast continent, don't worry about that, they are just "African", which basically means a vague blend of stereotypes based on various cultures. Just like "white people" are all exactly the same and there is no point in differentiating between Finnish and Serbian and Italian. Just give them some French clothing, some German weapons, and call them "Europeans", it's close enough, right? It's bullshit. How about actually doing some real justice to the actual cultures and their heritage? But that's too much work and it doesn't match with the American Pan-African nationalist ideal born in the 1960s. The US is pretty much the only place where "black" is a distinct self defined cultural group (and I think that's not as accurate as people pretend), but they have to project that image onto the entire continent.

    _But, but, but, this is proof of how Africa would be if the whiteman never colonized!_

    • @DISTurbedwaffle918
      @DISTurbedwaffle918 6 лет назад +49

      Belias Phyre wouldn't it actually be an African country appropriating white nationalist ideas and applying them to blacks though? So it's actually the one African country with the most European influence since it acts less African.

    • @beliasphyre3497
      @beliasphyre3497 6 лет назад +109

      They aren't appropriating white nationalist ideals. Nationalism is not inherently white. The only thing particularly white about white nationalism is what race and culture it holds as the preferred race and culture. Throughout history, most nation states have been tied to their particular race and culture.
      Besides, calling "appropriation" is just a losers bullshit way to make themselves feel better. In the good old days, this wouldn't matter as they'd also be dead. Those were the days...

    Saw it yesterday and what can I say: is a good movie, but is far from the absolute master piece that some people are trying to promote. My biggest issues are:
    Some minor spoilers ahead.....
    1.- You need a ton of suspension of disbelief to enjoy it. Seriously. The open speech tell us, basically, "we were a bunch of archaic tribes without anything but mudhuts, then a magic rock fall from the sky and we insta became the earth version of Asgard, and, then we found the Herbalife version of the Supersoldier serum, and the One became awesome and kicked everyone ass. Then, we hide for reasons and meanwhile the world was developing the steam engine, we had space ships and stuffs".
    2.- Vibranium become the McGuffin Jack of all trades. Vibranium can be used to do whatever you want and everything made with vibranium is insta awesome and super high tech.
    3.- Ok, I don't have a issue with Wakanda is the most advance place on Earth. Is ok and cool, but the level of exaggeration is too much. Wakanda makes the Avengers tower look like a third world ghetto, and that was even before the world learned to divide a atom.
    4.- Most of the characters dialogue and motivations are mostly cliches, but, is a marvel studio movie, almost everything in the MCU is indeed a cliche.
    5.- The bad guy of the week starts very interesting. Is not the average bad guy. He even had a couple of high degrees earned in a impossible age, but, the put a remarkable quality as a side note. Apparently, a black person with a university degree and a master is to much fiction and they fixed it making it a SJW.
    6.- And that is the moment when the bad guy became a lame bad guy. He chose to burn everything around him to make a statement and then he declared war to world for black issues. No, he can not be a proof of a black person can be strong, smart and have a vision of a great and better world for everyone. No, he falls on the same cliche that blacks suffers from almost always: we solve our issues with guns and shiets.
    At least the movie solved the biggest problem that bugged me lately with the MCU: too much jokes

Plus it’d be pretty fun watching Wakanda get steamrolled by the American and Russian war machines. Sure they have some cool tech but they clearly haven’t waged an actual war in generations, or else they would have things like helmets, guns, air support, artillery, ICBMs, and tactics beyond “yell really loud and run at the other guy”. Maybe that’s the true secret behind why the Black Panther is their best warrior, because he’s the only one smart enough to wear some goddamn head protection

When will I experience the joy of a cutting review of some obscure video game that probably no one has ever heard of. Please Prof. If you have a heart.... Release another video.

    Watching modern action movies has become like eating junk food. If all you ever do is eat junk food you forget what real food is. I think many people have been conditioned to be satisfied with explosions, CGI, colorful costumes and a nice theatre chair to sit in for a couple of hours while their senses are assaulted.

    Black Panther is 2018's Wonder Woman,in other words:a decently directed and entertaining superhero flick,that is getting hyped way out of proportion,in order to promote ''progressive''(quotations are deliberate here) identity politics.
    It's neither ''groundbreaking'' nor anything near as good as some other Marvel movies,for example the CGI looks pretty crappy for a blockbuster of this caliber,at some points,but it has a higher rating on review sites then classics like ''The Godfather''!!
    P.S.Does anybody remember ''Blade''? Not only was it the first Marvel movie with a black superhero,was highly successful and paved the way for all the future comicbook movies,but it was also Rated-R,long before ''Logan'' or ''Deadpool''.

Because in there we bet honeybuns on who is going to win or you can enter a poll that guarantees half of the jail block canteen if they all decided to join in, but in the real world sports are so darn boring.
