I suggest you to enquire it in your local RTO office Because as per my experience the attitude of the staff in this particular context differ from state to state once you get assured you may then opt for buying a second hand vehicle...I suggest search a second hand camper van on OLX or other similar platform rather than going for a second hand tempo Traveller...I have seen some between 10 to 15 lakhs.. The local one guy of camp said he heard same scamming news from other travellers too. That's y asking is it regular scamming or they target randomly.
