    Uhh #5 the question was divided by 2 and in the answer they changed it to divided by 1/2. 50% divided by 2 is definitely 25%. It would be multiplied by the reciprocal (1/2) not divided by it.

      First half of 50 is 25 Second anything that has no parentheses has to be done step by step from left to right Third anything times 0 is 0 plus 1 is 1 the answer is 1 because there are no parentheses

      @@savannahbanana1124 No, it's not left to right. You have to use the order of operations. Brackets, then exponents, then multiplication or division (whichever comes first), and then addition or subtraction (whichever comes first). So it would be 1 + 0 + 1 which equals 2. Secondly, if you have four objects, 50% of that is two objects and 2 divided by 2 is 1, so technically you're right because 1 is 25% of 4. But if you look at it mathematically instead of materialistically, 50% is equal to one half. One half divided by 2 is the same as 1 times 2 divided by 2. That equals 1. The video explained it wrong, you're right, but your answer is also technically wrong.

    For the last question here is my explanation to the answer: The first term is "1", which is read as "one 1".
    The second term is "11", which is read as "two 1s".
    The third term is "21", which is read as "one 2 and one 1".
    The fourth term is "1211", which is read as "one 1, one 2, and two 1s".
    The fifth term is "111221", which is read as "one 1, one 1, two 2s, and one 1".
    The sixth term is "312211", which is read as "three 1s, two 2s, and one 1".
    The pattern continues by describing the previous term in terms of how many of each digit it contains. For example, the seventh term would be "13112221", which is read as "one 3, one 1, two 3s, three 2s, and one 1".
    Therefore, the seventh term in the sequence is "13112221"...

    2:43 is not 1 it's 0.25 because 50% = 0.5. 0.5 divided by *2* not *1/2* is 0.25.

    The question What is half of 2 + 2 is ill formed and ambiguous. PEMDAS / BODMAS applies to math equations, but the rules and conventions of the English language also apply to word problems. People are not wrong to interpret this as 1/2 * (2 + 2). If you meant 1/2 * 2 + 2, then you should have said what is half of two, plus two using rules of English to hint at the precedence intended.

    This puzzle is solved by my brilliant friend Dibyendu patra. According to his logic
    1 is called ' one 1 ' that means - 11
    11 is called ' two 1 ' that means - 21
    21 is called ' one 2 one 1' that means - 1211
    1211 is called ' one 1 one 2 two 1' that means - 111221
    111221 is called ' three 1 two 2 one 1 ' that means - 312211
    312211 is called ' one 3 one 1 two 2 two 1' that means - 13112221

    5 is wrong too. Half of 50% are 25%! Even if it is right that 1/2 / 1/2 one is; divided by 2 is multiplied by 1/2!!!!!!!!!!!! You have 12 apples, you share half of them with your friend, and a friend of him shows off, your friend shares his 50% with his friend so they have a even number: 3! Three is the 1/4 of 12!

      He put 50% as 1/2 but thats assuming he was talking about 50% of 1, which he never specified. 50% can be anything if you dont know what its of. For example, if it was 50% of 100, it would be 50 divided by 2 and you would get 25 instead of 1. So as far as Im concerned he did this incorrectly

    OBJECTION!!! On number 5 you asked what is 50% divided by 2 but your answer was to the question what is 50% divided by half. The right calculation would be 1/2:2=1/4 or 25%

    To divide by 2 is not dividing by 1/2, it's multiplying by 1/2.
    If 50% is represented by 1/2, then 1/2 ÷ 2 = 1/2 *1/2 = 1/4 , not 1

      Are you familiar with sequences? There is no sum sign or even a mention of infinity, so you can assume the sequence is 7 numbers long. You should really be criticising how it's not even a math related question and is just a cheap trick to get more viewers

    The last problem at the end of the video is called "Look-and-Say Sequence"
    To generate a number of a sequence from a previous number, read off the digits of the previous number, counting the number of digits in groups of the same digit.
    For example:
    1 is read off as "one 1" or 11.
    11 is read off as "two 1s" or 21.
    21 is read off as "one 2, then one 1" or 1211.
    And so on.
    So the next number of the problem is "one 3, one 1, two 2s, two 1s" or 13112221.
    Fun fact: If you start with 22, it will stay itself forever.
    22 is read off as "two 2s" or 22.

    50% divided by 2 is 25% or 1/4.
    Dividing by 2 is actually multiplying with 1/2 and not dividing by 1/2!!!

      I agree totally. Because Ik 50% is equal to 1/2 but idk where he got the other half from when the question clearly said 2. In math when you divide fractions your supposed to change the division sign to multiplication and change the fraction to the left of the equation to its recipricol. The presentation did Change 2 to 1/2 but didn’t change the division sign. Which leads to an incorrect answer. The answer is supposed to be 0.25 or 1/4. Ik its a lot lol, please correct me if I’m wrong.

      Hey I think that why they said 50% divided by 2 is 1 because the speaker meant 50% divided by 2 variables itself (50%). Meaning 50% divided by 50%. But still 50% divided by 2 is still 25% only if not mentioned what it meant

    I am explaining/debunking all of these.

    The answer is, in fact, 0.
    1 x 2 x 3 x 4 x 5 x 6 x 7 x 8 x 9 x *0* = *0*.
    Anything multiplied by zero is zero. They were right about that.
    *#2*
    This one is 12, like they said. We use PEMDAS or BEMDAS to calculate.
    3 + *3 x 3* - 3 + 3
    *3 + 9* - 3 + 3
    *12 - 3 + 3*
    *12*
    PEMDAS or BEMDAS shows that multiplication comes before addition and subtraction from left to right.

    This one was actually correct, contrary to what people think. The answer is 3, but it was phrased weirdly.
    Once again, PEMDAS or BEMDAS helps us solve.
    *What is half of 2 + 2?*
    2 + *2 / 2*
    2 + 1 = 3
    However, the problem should have been phrased as “What is the sum of half of 2 and 2?” to avoid confusion.

    Yep. This is also correct. The answer is 95.
    Dividing by a fraction is basically multiplying by the reciprocal (which is the denominator and the numerator switched).

    These past questions were correct, but these next questions are either super vague, or just plain wrong.

    I believe this one is incorrect. The answer is 1/4 or .25.

    The mistake they made was that they were dividing by 1/2, instead of 2. This leads to a completely different answer.

    Another correct answer. However, they do not give you enough time to think.
    *How can you make 1000 by using 8 exactly 8 times(only using addition)?*

    Not really an explanation for this one. It is kinda straight forward. They just don’t give you enough time.

    The people who thought this question didn’t think about how this video is about math and how using Roman numerals goes against it. The answer is actually impossible. You cannot do this.

    Math is about calculation, not cutting corners by completely flipping logic on its side. Completely incorrect.

    21 because there are **two** 1s.

    111221 because there is **one** 1 and **one** 2 and **two** 1.
    312211 because there are **three** 1s and **two** 2s and **one** 1.
    *13112221 would be the answer because there is one three, one one, two twos, and two ones.*
    Maybe these math riddles, or at least some of them, went over my head. But, when you say “math riddle”, I wouldn’t think Roman numerals.

    The last one is a "look and say sequence"
    The current term is how you read the previous term, dropping any plurals
    1 is the first term
    11 is how you read the previous term "one one (a single digit 1)"
    21 is how you read the previous term "two one (two single digit 1s)"
    And so on:
    1211 is "one two, one one" (reading 21)
    111221 is "one one, one two, two one" (reading 1211)
    312211 is "three one, two two, one one" (reading 111221)
    So the missing term is:
    13112221 -- "one three, one one, two two, two one" (reading 312211)
    The next term after that would be:
    1113213211 -- "one one, one three, two one, three two, one one" (reading 13112221)
    And so on...

      Lokana you are wrong because when you divide a whole number by a fraction you basically multiply the whole number by the denominator of the fraction which gives you 2

    1 = one 1 = 11 (the next sequence)
    11 = Two 1's = 21 (the next sequence)
    21 = One 2 and One 1 = 1211 (the next sequence)
    1211 = One 1, One 2, and 2 1's = 111221 (the next sequence)
    111221 = Three 1's, Two 2's, and One 1 = 312211 (the next sequence)

      Remember the process would be multiplying across getting 2/2 equaling 1.
      E/ i multiply across ( numerator × numerator [ 1×2] and denominator × denominator [ 2×1])
      Otherwise there is the extra step of changing signs. To change divide to multiply you simply flip the fraction.
      So 1/2 ÷ 2/1 is the same as 1/2 × 1/2.
      1/2 × 1/2 = 1.

    #7 is also wrong, whilst yes, 20=XX and 1=I and 19=XIX, you can’t take away the I from XIX like that, for example, if you were to take away 1 from 3214 you wouldn’t get 324, that’s what he did here, just in another mathematical language
    Another example similar is, 1 = -1
    1 = sqrt(1) = sqrt(-1 x -1) = sqrt(-1) x sqrt(-1) = -1 (You can write sqrt(N x M) as sqrt(N) x sqrt(M))
    The thing that is incorrect about 1 = -1 is that sqrt(N x M) = sqrt(N) x sqrt(M) only works when N and M are both positive so sqrt(-1 x -1) does equal 1 because -1 x -1 = 1, sqrt of 1 is 1 (1 x 1 = 1) but you can’t write sqrt(-1 x -1) as sqrt(-1) x sqrt(-1)

It's ambiguous especially when read because I'd interpret it as asking: what is half of "2 + 2" since half is the only thing spelled out, as opposed to writing it out completely as "what is half of two plus two?"     Number 3 is utterly misleading. The way the question is phrased, there is nothing separating the first 2 from the other 2. When you don't write the equation in mathematical expression is leaves room for interruption. (2/2)+2=3 but (2+2)/2=2. The the fact that 2+2 is the only part of the question written numerically implies that the expression is in parenthesis or otherwise grouped. This is not a riddle; it is a misleading question.

    13112221 actually read the previous number and put the count of the number, a number appears. For example:
    first number is 1
    So next number is 1 time 1 is written =11
    Now third number is -- read 11 as 2 times 1 is written =21
    Now fourth number is -- read 21 it is 1 times 2 and then 1 times 1 =1211
    Similarly fifth number is -- 1 time 1 and 1 time 2 and 2 times 1=111221
    Similarly 6th number is-- 3 times 1, 2 times 2,1 times 1=312211
    SO 7th number is--- 1 times 3, 1 times 1, 2 times 2,2 times 1=13112221

    #5, The question was 50% divided by 2. You are correct, 50% is equal to 1/2. However, you divided 1/2 by 1/2 instead of dividing it by 2. So instead, the question would be written as 1/2 divided by 2 or 1/2 divided by 2/1. Then you would “keep, switch, flip” and it would be 1/2 multiplied by 1/2. Then you would get 1/4, which is equal to 25%.

    For #5 it said “What is 50% divided by 2” but at the end you changed it to 50% divided by 1/2 🙃
    The question clearly asked “What’s 50% divided by 2” 50% is the same as 1/2, so 50% divided by 2 is the same as 1/2 divided by 2, and 1/2 divided by 2 is 1/4
    Edit: I honestly don’t understand why so many people are having such a hard time figuring out what 50% divided by 2 is, here is a much easier way, just take the percent sign off of 50%, you now have 50 divided by 2 which is 25, and then just add back the percent sign, what do you have now? *25%*

    I generated an algorithm for this and realized quickilly that the last question is an infinite sequence, it never stops because it is only made of 1,2 and 3. (because there can only be 3 consecutive numbers). Here is the logic: the number can only diminish if there are 3 consecutive number x (since next phase there will be a 3 x which is smaller in size than the 3 consecutive. this means that necessarelly the numbers of the next phase will not have 3 consecutive numbers in the same space, wich means it will grow in size (everytime there is only 1 number x in sequence the sequence grows for the next number is 1x) since necessarelly x needs to be diferent ahead and behind, the number of numbers with sequence of 1 is always greater or equal than the sequence of 3, which means the sequence always gets bigger, and so it is infinite. So the answer to the question "what is the last term" is: there is no last term or "infinity".

      GM puppydog it is not. It’s asked to be divided by 2 not 1/2. They just mix up the factor from one picture to the other look at the video again. First he says 50% divided by 2 and on the next picture it says 50% divided by 1/2 they mixed it up therefore 25% is correct and not 1. The equation would’ve been right if it had said 50%*(1/2)

    #5 is wrong. Let's just say we reduced 50/100 (50%) to 1/2. So after that, you don't divide after you flip the fraction 2/1 to 1/2.... you multiply, and you get 1/4. and if we didnt reduce, we would have gotten 25/100 (25%) or 1/4. It's simple math dude..

    You start with 1.
    There is one '1', so you write: '1 1'
    There are two '1's, so you write: '2 1'

    There is one '1', one '2', and two '1's, so you write: '1 1 1 2 2 1'

      2 is not the same as 1/2. That statement is absolutely correct. But the question asks you to DIVIDE by (1/2). Which is tmultiply by (2/1). Which IS 2. So the question ends up (1/2)*(2/1)=1.
      Try it on a calculator. .5/.5 is one.

      NO, PEMDAS or the other one, DUMBAS says you do brackets first then multiply and devide then add and subtract. So, 1x0 = 0 THEN you ADD that to the first 1 and then add the last 1 for a total of 2. But you do ignore the first two lines because they are not mathematically connected to each other or the third line.
