This is going to be a typical Cowboys game. They overpay an injured player, everyone knew it. Rehar him for a couple years. Now he can go play healthy and reach his potential somewhere else. Never ends here.
I hope they can just find a way to give him a new deal that is lower priced and keep him! MG was one of the only guys that showed heart in the playoff game!
sure, but it's not quite that simple if a team _really_ wants gallup - which, granted, is doubtful - they can almost certainly get him right now by offering the cowboys a mid- or even late-round pick whether he likes it or not. once he's a free agent without a hefty contract, several teams could be interested and the chances of signing him go down quite a bit - he might just not like your team, or your coach, or your city my point is that it's not as simple as "we could get him now for picks and a lot of money OR just wait a few months and save picks and money"
@@chocolatetownforever7537 the Cowboys just plain phucked up the Cooper situation and it appears as though they didn't learn from their previous mistakes. They are trying to get a draft pick for this year. If they trade him it could be useful for this draft. Cut him June 1st and FA is pretty much done, nothing but scraps.
If I was Washington with a whole bunch of cap money and as a rival, I'd throw Dallas to seventh rounder for Gallup cause I got the room to pay his salary this year and then can move on from him scott free next year, with no penalty, and then they also would screw dallas out of the post june one savings......

I think you will see a different Gallup this season where ever he plays. As he got close to the two year post surgery, he was showing the old Gallup pre injury once again. If the Cowboys keep him, I think he is going to have a good season. You are going to hear this same talk about Diggs before he hits the 2 year full recovery from his injury. JS
And just think, The Cowboys could’ve resigned Cedric Wilson instead of signing Gallup. Would’ve preferred Wilson for $21/3 yr vs. Gallup’s contract. This team will continue “Bonehead” moves, going absolutely NOWHERE Fast!

Bingo Clayton. The same thing happened with Amari, which is why we got nothing for a Prow Bowl WR in his prime.

zeke, DAK... ahahaha

Keep Gallop Galloping with the Dallas Cowboys For another Campaign He was the only player who showed up in the playoffs vs Packers

Not likely going to happen. The Post June 1 move is the best option and I'd rather have the cap room instead of a 7th Round pick.
You'd basically be paying a 6th or 7th round pick $9M. Glad you aren't the GM. 😂
