For the Japanese Type 14, the kanji characters “分队长” translate into “squad leader”.
After this video I will take out my own Luger and disassemble and oil it etc.
Standard military S/42 Luger from 1938 with original magazine and matching numbers of course. Original holster with tool.
Thank you Tom and Randy for your videos.
Another great video. I never tire of your videos!!
What's known as a "Papa Nambu" with the enhanced trigger guard. Another great vid. Five *****. 😍
No don’t lay off on the Lugers for a while , it’s what I look forward to! I’d like a Luger Mania part 3!
Outstanding video and presentation.
Jealous they don’t make it to the website. Whoever buys them are lucky individuals.
Love the videos.
Hoo-Hoo, Luger-Mania, Luger-poloozia, or St. Georg's Day!!
You can keep the Nambu,I'll take the Lugers.
bro, your channel is a rabbit hole....one I am perfectly willing to go down, haha.
Beautiful pieces of history..
Tommy's one lucky guy
Thanks Tom....

Very interested in the the beautiful strawed S/42 with two matching magazines rig! Never seen a 1937 variation 1 with two matched mags for sale before!
If the retaining pin for the disassembly lever is missing or even if it's just somewhat loose, the gun will vibrate itself apart after about 2 shots :D
That second luger you showed with the mix of plumb and high polished parts was nouthing short of sexxy all very lovely but that one factory pimped realy speaks to me thankyou for showing us awsome 👍👍
I read somewhere that the soldiers in the pacific theater were discouraged from bring home guns. They werevtold they would be confiscated when they got back to the usa.
A friend of mine , here in the UK had a collection of Lugers , in order to keep them authentic when they were reproofed
he arranged for the UK PROOF marks ( London or Birmingham) not to be stamped on the firearm but issued instead
with paperwork to say the firearm had been proofed. i believe he sold his collection prior to the UK FIREARM BAN
to a collector on the ISLE OF MAN , the island in the Irish sea is not subject to UK government laws
The officer who signed it was Air Corps so Id assume the vet was also Air Corps
Before anyone comes at me, the Air Corps existed well into the USAAF and why it says "A.C." next to his rank
Hmmmm insider trading
Lol
In your sales do you include any certificate's explaining condition, and markings
Thank you
Yes, he offers a signed and laminated COA for $40 that comes with a brief description of the gun and condition at the time of purchase. Also a photo of the gun on the back
In the sale he shows descriptions and blemishes of the gun with ratings out of 10. Honest if a Luger has been imported, mis matched ot forced matched.
Wow, I'm early today!
Me too.
I just purchased a 1940 DWM Luger from my local gun show but I’m not sure if it’s commercial or military it has the last two digits of the serial number all over it and one mark which looks like it’s H20 L20 stamped on top of each other
It also does have what appears to be an eagle stamped once on the receiver with those numbers also stamped on the barrel with 655 and also again on the barrel with no numbers
Please don’t dissuade people from shooting the Type 14 Nambu. They really are all made (not as nice as the Luger) and fire a relatively mild round. I have one that I’ve owned for years and fire occasionally. They are pleasant to shoot with very mild recoil. Ammo is difficult to find, but if you have the opportunity some time, try it you’ll like I promise!
Thanks for your feedback. Good to know
