This video is right on time I bought a 2013 brz upgraded the exhaust and suspension. And now my breaks are starting to make some noise, I was starting to get a lil scared 😂
The TRD trim level was introduced as a 2018 option, and included the more robust Brembo brakes. www.caranddriver.com/news/a22517593/toyota-86-gets-harder-edged-trd-model/
@@thomasedwards6144 TRD edition has the same brembo brakes as the performance pack BRZ. The TRD brakes he was taking about is a real kit but it’s only available through TRD Japan
I wouldn't recommend Hawk HPS to anybody doing a track day with base model brakes. My own car with 200tw tyres, stock power, usually gets temps around 1000-1100F. HPS work to around 700F. Hawk have great temp comparisons on their site.
Hey man just came across your channel yesterday. Love the vids. Keep it up.

super detailed, thank you very much for this quality content
You’re welcome, glad you found it helpful!
Can you confirm which models/options have the TRD brake kits as OEM? I haven't heard of this upgrade on a FRS/BRZ before

I bet all the stock brakes on these cars are still better than the OEM C8 brakes
Haha, might maybe, could possibly, definitely be correct about that 🤣
I'm just a normal old guy. I cannot stand brake booster delay. Does anybody talk about that?
Drilled rotors are good for failing on the track. If you track your car, stay away from them.
First Gen 86 - call it Zenki
Unless he’s talking about the kouki gen 1
