NBA 2K19 Wiki
NBA 2K19 is an upcoming basketball simulation video game developed by Visual Concepts and published by 2K Sports. It is the 20th installment in the NBA 2K franchise and the successor to NBA 2K18. It will be released in September 2018 for Microsoft Windows, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. Giannis Antetokounmpo of the Milwaukee Bucks is the cover athlete for the standard edition, while LeBron James of the Los Angeles Lakers is the cover athlete for the 20th Anniversary Edition. Antetokounmpo and James will grace the cover in North America, while current NBA Rookie of the Year Award winner Ben Simmons of the Philadelphia 76ers, an Australian native, will grace the cover in Australia and New Zealand.
NBA 2K19, like the previous games in the series, is based on the sport of basketball; more specifically, it simulates the experience of the National Basketball Association (NBA).
Development and release
NBA 2K19 was officially announced on June 5, 2018 and will be released on September 11, 2018; players who pre-order the game will receive it on September 7, 2018. It will be the first game in the series since NBA 2K6 (Xbox 360) and NBA 2K7 (PlayStation 3) to not be released for either platform. It will be released for Microsoft Windows, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. Giannis Antetokounmpo of the Milwaukee Bucks will be the cover athlete for the standard edition version of the game, while LeBron James of the Los Angeles Lakers will be the cover athlete for the 20th Anniversary Edition, which will include various physical and digital extras. James was previously the cover athlete of NBA 2K14.

I hated the blow by animation but by the end of 2k18 I was completely relying on it. I’m glad it’s dead but now I have to start over from square one.

and that's why I rely on post moves. no skill needed
I recommend adding a snatch back it helps allot
EnlightenPanda yep...cpu defense is off the charts...game only real going to the hole if you get a user defender on you because cpu defenders shitting down all those moves...in his video it’s not against cpu defenders of you notice

Great video man! Quick question. I notice sometimes when I am in transition and I do a dribble move, sometimes the players take an additional step and then do the move. How can I get the dribble move to come out without the additional bounce?

NONE of these moves work against the CPU in 2K19! The defense is overpowered as hell in this game! #MirrorDefense
You have to use one of the NBA stars, with great speed and agility, of you are playing MyPlayer, is really hard to crossover a defender

When ever I use r3 (right Cross stick) I always shoot the only way I can cross is pulling it backwards if I push it to the sides I shoot

Gettin used to 2K19....I don't use the shot meter.I'm using the players shooting %.Very vexing.It's always saying late release.Whatever.Still enjoying the game.Downloaded the draft class and the Pistons have a weak 2nd unit so I should get a top rookie....lol.But I'm not tryna lose like that.

I've noticed you only did these moves how they should work to online players.. against the CPU none of these really work.

They do it's just that the CPU doesn't move as much. You really gotta pay attention to their movements.
OG Lamont exactly, and against cpu a step or even a half step one way or another is enough to allow for a solid drive where online you can almost always get a better look and the chance to finish diminishes a bit

Every time I try to drive the defender always walls me off or they make me drive away from the basket
Im thinking on buying a ps4 pro to play nba2k19 ( yes i know its a little late but that's why im asking this question) or just wait till ps5 comes out and buy nba2k20. My question is, are all these controls be the same or overall the same in nba2k20? In between games, are there major changes in controls? Cause i would like to get the hang of playing nba2k19 IF im sure there won't be some major control changes in nba2k20, that way when 20 comes out i have some skills developed.
Dont buy 2k19 now, To get to 80 overall it takes about 2-6 weeks. Your player is basically useless until 75 ovr. Only buy it if u want to play my team etc but not my career. By the time you hit a good overall/badges the game has 2 - 3 months then its dead

Idk if this is just me, but whenever I try to do crossovers, hesitations, etc.. I always end up shooting since the right joy stick is for shooting too (P.S Im on xbox one)

None of this matters because everyone is going to be playing off ball and the computers are all LOCKDOWN defenders. Only way to score in this game is pick and roll or pop.
Forreals. Got ankle breaker on silver and ball handling is an 87 but my energy just goes to waste and I'm stuck in the same spot.
That’s what I was thinking , he must not be playing HOF , all i do is catch and shoot . Even When I get an ankle breaker , they get up so quick and it’s a heavily contested shot .
