A potty trained bunny in my opinion is 1000 times easier than guinea pigs. We have a male giant Flemish free Roaming bunny and he is the absolute most amazing bunny in the whole world.
I’m soo happy for you! You will love him so much . the only thing that I have to say that is kind of sucky about a bunny is the few times a year when they shed a lot. brushing does help tremendously tho. Good luck Alyssa💜
I completely agree! I had Guinea pigs before I got him and they were so so much more work than my boy. They pooped and peed everywhere and pretty much the only things I have to do for him are clean his litter box every two days or three days, feed him and water him and play with him😊
He’s super cute! If I were you, I’d just put the hay in the back half of the litter box so the big storage box doesn’t take up room in his pen. I’d also give him a hidey house since bunnies are prey animals. Just a cardboard box with 2 openings cut out would be perfect!
You don’t need to prove us strangers that you are capable in anything because we don’t effect you. I love how you take care of your pets and you do a great job. Zero is so cute! 🥰🥰
I love that you state how much work a bunny is! Oscar my former bunny, who sadly passed was so much more work than my guinea pigs or my cats and dogs. He’s going to have a great home with you!
Hey Alyssa! My mom and I have founded a rabbit rescue called Cotton Tails Rabbit Rescue in NY. I wanted to say how impressed I am about how knowledgeable you are of rabbit care! You are doing everything right for him. A lot of people don’t recognize how much care and space are needed for bunnies. Thank you so sharing and educating others!
The behavior you've described sounds like he's really happy with his new home. My rabbit loves to dig and build nests so I built her a digging box with different natural materials, paper, soil, hay, etc. It's one of her favorite places to be.
As a piggie and bunny momma myself, I think your first time set up looks good. Takes time to adjust and get things "just right" like you wish. And I understand the hate from others due to having many pets. I have 8 personally...4 piggies (which you got the gifts from) 1 bun, a cat and 2 large dogs. But honestly as long as you know in your heart you are providing them the best life possible, that's all that matters. No matter how perfect a life you can provide for any living creature, you're always going to have naysayers and haters. Don't let them get to you.
Hey since your are a bunny mom I was wondering if you knew what a good healthy cage size is for to bunny’s are cause I just don’t want it to be to small and the internet has very mixed answers
@@booberry6507 Would bunny-proofing and free roaming be an option for at least like one room of your house/flat? Because free roaming promotes healthy socialization.
@@booberry6507 googling says at least 12sq feet. So not a “traditional” rabbit cage/hutch. So if you can give them even just a spare bedroom or free roam it is probably best.
@@booberry6507don’t put your bunny in a cage, if it can’t be free roamed all the time make sure it has a pen, not a hutch or a cage, and try to let it free roam at least while you’re supervising
These long videos are such a treat! It’s amazing that you were the one to save him instead of someone who is uneducated and would continue his terrible living conditions. I’m so excited to see more bunny content and I hope you feel better soon.
Welcome to bunny parenthood! Be careful. That hay box is low enough for him to hop on and right out of the pen. Bunnies hopping abilities might surprise you (they sure surprised me.) Hope to see more videos of him and how he adjusts to his new home. It’s truly a joy to watch an animal’s personality really shine.
I just wanted to say, if no one has told you lately, you rock! You are such a caring individual and you show such dedication to your little cuties. You are so spot on about what they need and how to approach each animal you have contact with. I'm sooooooo glad this bunny wound up in your care. You should be so proud of yourself. I look forward to seeing how he does and what other little ones you take care of or adopt. Thanks so much for putting together such a great video...😇😇
It’s awesome that you rescued a rabbit! I’ve been watching you for a long time and am a big fan! I am a guinea pig and rabbit owner myself but with my experience with litter boxes it’s really beneficial for them to have a pile of hay in their litter boxes because it provides enrichment and is a lot easier.
You’d probably be better getting a small air purifier for your room rather than air fresheners. Congrats on the new bunny! He’s super cute! Oh I would just put a pile of hay in the back half of the litter box.. and definitely get him a covered hide (like a box with front and back doorways.. good luck and have fun!
Hey Alyssa!! So happy for you that you finally got a bunny!!! One thing I don’t recommend are the oxbow digestive biscuits for bunnies because they contain molasses which has the potential to slow down the rabbits gut rather than keep it moving. I recommend watching 101 rabbits safe bunny treats video in which she talks more about oxbow supplements for bunnies!! P.S Zero is super duper cute ☺️
A good substitute that I use is probios if anyone is interested ,which are meant for horses but can be fed to rabbits since they are basically mini horses. I give them half of a cracker.
He’s adorable! I love how much research you did in preparation for him! I wish everyone would follow in your footsteps! My tip on the litter would be to put the hay at one end of the litter box! Praying for you and whatever is going on- for peace and healing! ❤️
Omggg as a devoted bunny mom it literally warms my heart that u are saving that bunny & giving him a better life ! All the best goodies it looks like 🖤🥰
also one thing is that for the stain remover I would just recommend just white vinegar and water for pee stains, personally I don’t think it’s super safe cleaning the litter box w that
and as for air fresheners I think there was like a study that said even essential oil diffusers actually caused the death of pets :( so I really don’t think it’s necessary! W many animals u may be busy, but if u use pee pads in the litter box + bedding and clean it morning and night there honestly should not be odour, my bunny smells like a fresh baby 😂 aka nothing
ahhh im so happy for you, ive been keeping up with all your videos and seeing you helping other animals by giving them a new home and the right things they require makes me so so happy, and your literally giving all the animals in your care the life they deserve and watching your videos brings me so much joy, thank you :)
Zero is so cute!!!!! I would reccomend a wooden hide for the little area that’s empty to the left. Kind of like the one the pigs have so that you can put a treat hay (botanical or orchard grass hay) in the side!
Love you for posting this! Always great to see more propper pet rabbit care represented so that less misinformation spreads. I'm so happy for you and your newest baby!
OMG Welcome Zero ! i am really excited to see bunny content ! And i can already tell Zero is going to be a spoilt and very well looked after bunny ! :)
You are gunna do great with your bunny! I got a bunny from a bad situation as well, I had done a lot of research and decided against it, but then I was at a farm store and there were these bunnies in tiny wire bottom cages I had to save one. The diet needs are so similar to guinea pigs, so you’re definitely good there! I actually find my bunny easier than my herd of 4 pigs. And my bunny and cat are besties! Any animal that winds up with you is very lucky! 💕
long vlogs, daily routine, cleaning, hauls, or adoption vlogs I love them all. I know it may seems repetitive to anyone or to you but these are actually great contents. I’m like encouraged to adopt rather than shop and give my best to these poor animals. not all may agree to me but any animals, any at all(predators or prey) deserved love, care, and attention. and realistically, that comes with a price and huge amount of effort(especially huge if one doesn’t have budget and rely on DIYs like me) having animals need research, budget to properly care for them.
Your my favorite pet owner out there! You take such good care of your animals. Can’t wait to see the journey with you and your Bunny! Happy birthday to your boyfriend
Zero's so cute and the name fits him perfectly!💗 From my experience, I wouldn't even bother to use carefresh, it's just an extra mess (it was everywhere, smelled more than the wood pellets I normally use + my bunny's feet were dirtier than ever).😅 The bedding doesn't have to be super soft since it's only in his litter box and the rest of the space is covered with soft blankets anyway.😊 But of course do what works the best for you, I just thought this might help.☺️
When I heard a bunny passed I teared up. He/she would've had the best life with you, you are a amazing owner and you are helping me through choosing a pet and I have chose gerbils but I still need your channel in my life you are so educational to people getting pets of their own. I also love how you use blankets/fleases for them because it is so easy to mistake bedding because some shops say bad bedding is good. Ok uhhhh comment over
I love the name you gave him!! He’s adorable! You two a perfect match for eachother :) I have been following you for several years now and I can say that you are wonderful pet owner.
He is lucky to be rescued by you . For right now the pen is more then big enough . Plus he has a lot of toys to keep him entertained . He is one spoiled bunny . Good luck with him . And when he has a friend in the future it's going to be double the fun .
I'm so happy for you Alyssa! I'm an owner of two bonded bunnies and I'm so glad you were so educated before getting a bunny! Your set up is INCREDIBLE, he has everything he needs. I can tell from his body language that he's so happy! He's going to live such a great life with you. I can't wait to see more bunny content in the future 😍 Good job!
I found out about your channel, while watching another small youtuber’s video review of your content. I decided to check your page out even though I no longer take in neglected, abused, abandoned, , small animals and reptiles. I have worked as a vet tech for the past 11-12 years and all of the hospitals and clinics I’ve worked for over the years have always worked for had an exotics veterinarian. I’d take in animals that weren’t living their best life, had special needs, were brought in to be euthanized for no reason or couldn’t/ didn’t want to spend the money if there was a health issue or surgery needed, etc. It is such a rewarding job, but it’s not for the faint of heart. So thank you for all of the amazing things you do to help these lil babies. I appreciate you. 🥰🙌🏼🙌🏼🙏🏼🥰
Aaaaw so happy to see Zero already in much nicer and happier circumstances. I love to see him playing with his new toys. He most likely never had any stimulus in his old home. I would love to see more content on him and follow his journey as he settles in and has his neuter op etc... Bless him i noticed how he loved being stroked. He has been deprived of almost everything he should have had, so now he will soon be whole new bunny. Good luck in your new home little Zero 😘
Thank you for saving him, he's so cute! Otis and Olive are Craigslist bunnies too. Remember to get him a shallow litterbox after his surgery so he doesn't scrape his incisions. Have fun!!
It is so wonderful the way you state how much work rabbits are. So very responsible! I have the exact same litter box. I did start with bedding, but Ralphie hated it! Now I just use the small sized pee pads from five below on the bottom of the box and then place hay on the short end. He loves it and I find it so easy to clean. Zero is one lucky bun! Well done!
OMG, he is super adorable, especially when he washes his face! My daughter started to want a bunny, so I want to learn more about them before we make a decision! 😍👉💗👍😘
A tip that I thought of (I didn't check someone else might of) But when you go to like a garden shop or like a Walmart you might see those plant holders for walls that normally come with the coconut liner if you do buy one take out the inner and put some hay in! there you go.
It's so great that you were able to rescue him from the previous place he was at that sounded gross 😖 I'm so glad you mentioned getting him a friend when you can too that'd make him so happy, which you clearly prioritised with your pigs too! 😊 So many people are under the impression that their bunnies are perfectly happy on their own because they get human attention sometimes but a human can never give them the same type of affection that another bunny can, there's even been studies that show bunnies value a companion as much as they value food!
Thank you for rescuing him you are doing a great job as a new bunny mom!!!I have 2 rabbits and we use the tractor supply horse stall pellets with the hay and my litter never smells. A great treat option is freeze dried strawberries, banana or apple (make sure fruit is the only ingredient) my buns love them
hey! saying this out of live since i have 2 rabbits myself, but be careful with the air freshener! rabbits can smell more than humans and are really sensitive to scents! but i think this bunny is gonna have a really good life with you
Zero is so cute 🥰, the area you made in your room for him is so nice even if you don’t free roam him that’s a good spot to keep him . In your room or when you move if you have an extra room you can make a bunny room .
Omg he is so cute. He is probably getting in the hay box because he is so used to being in a tiny hunch. He is so adorable and sweet. I’d love to have some small animals but I can’t as my cats and dogs are enough for me right now. I don’t want to become overwhelmed. I love watching and love how caring you are to your animals.
Welcome to the bunny mom world!!! Its a wonderful world!!! Great job getting the gas drops!!! Im sure you have critical care. The first day or so after his neuter he won't be hungry so don't be alarmed! Congratulations on you new addition!!! 🐇🐇🐇
Yay! Zero is adorable. I'm supposed to be getting a bunny soon and I learned a bit about some stuff I need to get for him thanks to this video. I'm excited for more Zero content! ❤
This is one of the best bunny videos I have seen! I have two bonded buns and I watch a lot of bunny RUclipsrs. I really appreciate how you made this so much about the rabbits and showed so much video content of the rabbits just doing their thing. A lot of youtubers are too busy talking about themselves and showing off their hair and make up, and I am not here for that. I’m here to learn about other people’s rabbits and experiences and their habitats. That’s not to say that your hair and make up doesn’t look gorgeous because it does! But I really appreciate how you kept the focus on the rabbits and I definitely hope you do a lot more rabbit continent. Just showing the Zero being himself and talking about what he does and how he interacts with the other pets and you and what it’s like for you to be a rabbit owner. Because it’s a pretty bizarre experience and it’s nice to know what other people are going through. We all know a lot of the same information about rabbits, so it’s nice to see rabbits actually in action and you experiencing the same things that we do. Thank you!
I'm so glad you saved him from that situation ! My rabbit had the same food, and in the same situation. and I knew right away that it was wrong, took me 2 days of non stop researching before I got my Flemish.
you're so lucky! my mom had to give my two bunnies away because she thought it was a good idea to give 6-year-old me not one, but 2 bunnies! luckily i got 2 guinea pigs and im great at caring for them. after watching lots of your videos ive been wanting to buy one of the grid cages like your pigs have to give them more space.
This is great! You covered everything I can think of long term (I have a male unneutered bunny and he does indeed spray:)) You might find that your bunny will chew or dig the blankets but other than that your care is amazing!
He’s so cute! 🥰 I would recommend putting hay in the litter tray so he can chose between the two. If you do get him a friend, a spayed female is best. Congrats on rescuing such an adorable bunny!
I'm so happy for you and Zero! I've had my bun for 5 years now they're amazing companions. I'm so excited for bunny content. ❤❤❤ P.S. I love your hay box idea that's so clever. Maybe zip tying a grid with wide squares over the hole would keep him from getting inside?
Some of y’all need to stop being rude and telling her what she should/shouldn’t do and making judgments. She clearly does a ton of research and she’s worked as a vet tech. She knows what she’s doing.
I just recently was recommended your channel. Honestly, I am not sure why because i don't typically watch anything like this, but I am glad I clicked on it. (It was the video where you adopted your 2nd bunny). I am now a subscriber. I decided to watch the video when you adopted your 1st bunny and when you showed your room, I gasped and squealed with delight. RJ!!!! I am a Seokjinnie. I absolutely adore Kim Seokjin. Just wanted to say hi.
Alyssa, I love your hair! But, I always adore you!! His conditions were horrible and I am glad that you saved him from that world of chaos! Maybe, NOW, he can be happy forever with you!!!
As a bun owner myself it is so refreshing to see someone do all the research and take in a bun and give it a true great environment. I am so happy for you and zero and cannot wait to see your journey. Some tips also, not a lot of people know bunnies can jump 3 feeT in the air. They love being up high since they are prey animals. So getting a cat tree for him would give him more vertical space and I promise he will enjoy it so much and then he will also have another hidy house.

He's totally adorable and rad at the same time.
I love that you are willing and even welcome comments and constructive criticism. That shows how much you care about your pets
Oh my god he’s so adorable!! Thank u for rescuing him!
that black and white bed is absolutely to die for I love that so much
That bunny looks so much happier now! I mean he started grooming already within the first hour!
Have fun!!
you're who I aspire to be as a pet owner, don't listen to the hate you're amazing and I'm excited to watch your bunny journey!
Well done!
He’s adorable, I’m happy you rescued him. ❤️
He is stunning 😍 I’m so happy he gets to live his life with you now! Thank You for saving him and sharing him with us!
It's so great that you were able to rescue him from the previous place he was at that sounded gross 😖 I'm so glad you mentioned getting him a friend when you can too that'd make him so happy, which you clearly prioritised with your pigs too! 😊 So many people are under the impression that their bunnies are perfectly happy on their own because they get human attention sometimes but a human can never give them the same type of affection that another bunny can, there's even been studies that show bunnies value a companion as much as they value food!
your animals are well loved! rabbits are very fun!!
Thanks for rescuing another pet in need 💜
Zero is absolutely gorgeous and I’m happy for both of you to have each other!! 💜💜
Thank you for rescuing him you are doing a great job as a new bunny mom!!!I have 2 rabbits and we use the tractor supply horse stall pellets with the hay and my litter never smells. A great treat option is freeze dried strawberries, banana or apple (make sure fruit is the only ingredient) my buns love them
I would call him Sunflower, because his eyes look like sunflower seeds :D or just Seed. He's so adorable
hey! saying this out of live since i have 2 rabbits myself, but be careful with the air freshener! rabbits can smell more than humans and are really sensitive to scents! but i think this bunny is gonna have a really good life with you
Zero is so adorable! he is so lucky to have you as an owner/mom!💖
Zero is so cute 🥰, the area you made in your room for him is so nice even if you don’t free roam him that’s a good spot to keep him . In your room or when you move if you have an extra room you can make a bunny room .
He’s sooo cute! Thank you for rescuing him. He’s going to be such a happy bunny.
Bunnies are AMAZING! Such a great friend to have , they are so smart they will love you just as much as anyone or anything else !
Thank youuuu for saving him from such a horrible condition 💞💞💞💞 your so kind totally can’t wait till you neuter him🤍🤍
Omg he is so cute.
Thank you!
I love how u don’t just buy an animal you do all your research it’s amazing you are a proper animal carer
ive been waiting for this one… TURN IT UP!! welcome to the bunny parent fam!! you’re going to have the best time with him!!
I'm so glad you saved him from that situation ! My rabbit had the same food, and in the same situation. and I knew right away that it was wrong, took me 2 days of non stop researching before I got my Flemish.
By the way the food isn’t good, that they gave you. I’ve owned bunnies for 6 years and I think you’re doing great!! And Zero is absolutely adorable ❤️
U and autum both just got bunnies. MY LIFE IS COMPLETE
you're so lucky! my mom had to give my two bunnies away because she thought it was a good idea to give 6-year-old me not one, but 2 bunnies! luckily i got 2 guinea pigs and im great at caring for them. after watching lots of your videos ive been wanting to buy one of the grid cages like your pigs have to give them more space.
Ur such an amazing pet mama to all of em, ur goals asf tbh. He's very very cute so plz film as much of him as possible!
So crude!!!! Sound like he had a really bad life before you got him!!!! He is so adorable 🥰 enjoy your new rabbit x
This is great! You covered everything I can think of long term (I have a male unneutered bunny and he does indeed spray:)) You might find that your bunny will chew or dig the blankets but other than that your care is amazing!
I am so glad you saved that poor bunny from those terrible people who didn’t even bother to feed him properly.
He’s so cute! 🥰 I would recommend putting hay in the litter tray so he can chose between the two. If you do get him a friend, a spayed female is best. Congrats on rescuing such an adorable bunny!
LOOOVE his color patterns and different fur lengths! looks so dope
He is sooo cute!!! You do know you have to get that pattern on his back as a tattoo on you right!?!? That would be absolutely perfect. 😍❤️
Aw, I'm so glad you have him. I feel like you saved him. Yay!
