It’s unlikely they did since the RUclipsr is very involved in his towns animal community and if they cared enough about the bunny they’d be posting about it a lot.
He wasn’t itching himself on the hideout, he is claiming it as his own. If other rabbits (that he isn’t bonded with, ofc) have used it, this will further the territorial-ness. But yeah, not itching, but more saying “you’re mine” and rubbing his smell on things. Very cute

If the fence you are using to enclose him can stretch across the room, I would use that so he could ave a bit more space because bunnies really do need a lot more room than that to run around! He does look happy and he clearly feels safe because he's imprinting with his scent glands under his chin, but it's always best for bunnies to have more room for zoomies because they do get zoomies just like dogs! But you are doing great and he is ADORABLE! He seems like such a good, peaceful, loving bunny!!
Unfortunately, I had limited room cause he was in my pig room. Plus, I didn’t want him too close to my pigs to avoid cross contamination. He’s now at the rescue receiving everything he needs!
@@ThePigRoom I understand! And that's great! I'm so glad that he is no longer running around alone outside! Awe, Ryder is adorable and I hope has a forever home waiting soon! If there is an owner, that owner would contact rescues, shelters and animal control, looking for their lost rabbits. While I agree with most comments of it may be someones pet... at one point sure it was. I think there’s a backyard rabbit thing going on here and possibly near you. (I’m in the Hamptons, NY.) A lot of people are starting to raise chickens and other stuff for meat since food, especially meat, is getting expensive, so I wouldn’t be surprised if people are either breeding for meat or for money to BUY food at the store.
He was happy with you and he must have been sad and confused leaving his comfortable little home, but I guess that’s the difficult part of rescuing. We can’t keep them all.

I have to warn you, this is how it starts. You start bringing them in from off the street, sometimes right next door to your house, and then you end up with 9 bunnies. I rescued a doe and she had 7 babies less than 12 hours later, plus the first rabbit we rescued off our street from 2 months before that. Mama Bunny and 2 of her daughters still live with me. Thanks for helping this lil dude out.

I've seen 2 different lost rabbits in my neighborhood in just the last month. I've called animal control many times, but I don't know they just suck at their job, or don't care, because I still see them. I have no means of rescuing them myself... Only reasoned I noticed them is because I walk my dog daily, and he noticed the poor bunny on our walk.
Are you located in NJ? I rescued a rabbit. From my brother who got it at a 4h fair. Somewhere near Englishtown, nj. Now a few things. I went to a 4h fair and my vets. Spoke to both the woman at the 4h thinks it may have been a breeder who came there that sold the rabbit. Vet also surprised to see the type of breed as well. Similar eyeliner marking on a white rabbit so it’s either a mix or a big hotoe blanc hotoe. He is an 8 lb male. Vet and 4h all thought how unusual he was the rarely see his breed. So if you’re in that area maybe part of this same breeding group? Our rabbit is 5 years old now was adopted three years ago at the 4h fair. But yea that rabbit looks somewhat similar white rabbit black eyeliner marking. So just watch maybe they do their business at a local 4h fair if you can figure out who is selling and dumping them.
