The US Open is the final Grand Slam tournament of the year and takes place at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Centre. The 2023 US Open saw Serbia’s Novak Djokovic and USA’s Coco Gauff claim the men’s and women’s singles titles. It was Djokovic’s 24th Grand Slam title and Gauff’s first Grand Slam title. The 2024 US Open main draw is scheduled to go ahead between August 26 - September 8. Sharapova won Wimbledon In 04, when she was 17 and more importantly 6'0 tall,she could at least move and change direction better at the time cause she was lighter and smaller, since then she grew to 6'2 and gained a little bit weight, making it harder and more taxing on her stamina, showed fully in 2005 Aus.

And was fresh as a daisy in final sets no matter how long matches went.
After coming back from her ban she started getting tired in 3rd sets and even long 2 setter matches, her final set win ratio before the ban was in the 90% range, after the ban it was only 21% .
She was and still is an icon. Always carried herself gracefully, even at times with mean press oversexualizing her and serena bullying her.

And here it is!! The true test of being an icon is being able to have your own story. I didn't have to scroll far before I found Serenas name lol. I watch so many videos on serena and Maria name never shows up. But I can never see Maria mentioned without serena. She was icon adjacent at best

She’s low class. Remember the time she insulted Radwanska during a match … during a POINT and shouted “RUN!”? No class. She’s pretty so exercises her pretty white blonde woman privilege. But make no mistake, she panders to Putin and has no respect for the game or her opponents. There should be a documentary on Radwanska. She played with dignity, and was far more petite than genetically advantaged players like Sharapova. She’s just lucky that the sport gives tall women a big advantage.
