The handle is sturdy, I don’t have concerns that the handle will break or be faulty. When it’s in the raised position, it does wiggle some, as shown in the video, but it doesn’t affect the functionality.
I have the grey carryon and it’s the best carryon I’ve ever had. The wheels are a game changer. I travel internationally for work a lot throughout the year and it’s super durable. I love that I can swap the wheels (they even include the tool for changing wheels -I’ve bought a couple different sets of wheels to swap out) because the wheels are the things I usually wear through first on suitcases, this will definitely extend the life of this bag for me. It does scratch a bit (ok I’ve dropped it a few times, ) but a magic eraser helps. It doesn’t take away from the shiny exterior though. I also love the latch closures and locking mechanism. 100% worth the expense!
just curious- are you in the US? There are limited reviews on this brand and saw several saying it was a bit of a hassle with it coming from Germany and returns having to pay out of pocket. If you didn’t return you may not have much input on that, but just wondering.
I'm in London, UK @@tjlemaster i ordered it from Farfetch online and had zero hassle, they also covered any customs/duty - i think returns via farfetch are approx £10 which is DHL but i didn't return, I've returned other items to Farfetch and never had any issues/trouble (DHL pickup)..
Hey how’s it going. To my understanding, there is no brick and mortar store in the US that has the luggage displayed. I know that these online retailers sell the brand. Obviously the Floyd.one website, also Selfridges, END clothing, MatchesFashion, and FarFetch. I believe FarFetch has duty fees built into their price, free shipping, and free returns if necessary. I would confirm this with each online retailer. I have another Floyd luggage review I will be posting very soon. Either today or this weekend, that will provide you with up close footage of their Trunk size suitcase. Subscribe to my channel so that you can get the alert when I post and I think this will be as close as you can get to an in person idea of the suitcase. Hope this helps
I saw this brand on Instagram and I'm really intrigued! I was going to bite the bullet and get a Tumi or Rimowa aluminum cabin case. But this brand looks really cool. Thanks for reviewing. My only concern would be the locking mechanism jamming and being unable to open the case at all.
I’m glad the review could be of help. But honestly, I don’t think the locking mechanism will have issues jamming. It’s not a cheap one. It feels pretty solid and so far I haven’t had any issues with it right now. I’m actually in Europe on holiday and I have been using both the cabin size as well as the trunk size, and so far so good, the only thing is the suitcase will definitely scratch which is not unlike the Rimowa which also scratches a lot. I have one of those too
@@SeeItWithCJ thanks for the feedback! The high gloss finish would definitely hurt me the 1st time it got scarred. But I guess that's what stickers are for.

They are better than Rimowa. They are skateboard wheels. They aren’t going to break. They roll over things so easily including bumps and uneven surfaces
@@SeeItWithCJ that’s good, I was thinking they seem too slick, do you know sometimes when your skate wheels lock on bad terrain and you fall forward? I am afraid that will happen with these wheels lol

What an excellent review CJ! Looks like you beat the rest on this little known brand. Does the locking mechanism feel secure after a little over stuffing of the cabin case? We all do that right? Aloha from Hawaii!!
Hey mark. Glad to be of help. Yeah I would say it feels secure. The way it locks, you can feel the locking mechanism slide into place, and once you engage the combination lock, I don’t think you’ll have any issues with it opening up unintentionally. Also, love Hawaii. I’ve been to Oahu 3x. Hiked Kokohead, flew over the mountains on my 30th in a doorless helicopter, and even broke 2 bones and had To get stitches on my 27th birthday.

Love these suitcases. I really want one, and I think is worth investing in something I use a lot as a digital nomad; however, how is resisting? Have you already used it? does it scratch a lot?
Hi, I think it is is holding up well. Soon I’ll post a post-use review. It will scratch some on rough surfaces but it’s not too noticeable. But I think a magic eraser will help with removing the scruffs. But most luggage will scruff. I have the checked suitcase as well and I definitely have a fabric case cover on it so it doesn’t get messed up with luggage handlers
I love your review . Just received mine today but unable to locate the reset button to change my combination. States inside but I’m lost. Please help… lol thank you
Hi, I’m away right now so not physically with the luggage, but if my memory serves me right, it’s on the opposite side of the dials. So open the suitcase, and it’s on the interior of the suitcase, opposite of the number dials.
Hi 👋 so I have never seen the grey one in person. But to be honest, although the gray is a safe color, it’s not as vibrant and I really think the more unique colors is what really sets this brand apart from other luggage brands. I personally love the blue. I also have the trunk in the green, and I like that one a lot, but I still love the blue over the green one. I think you’re making a wise decision no matter which color you choose. But I think you’ll get more compliments if you go with the more vibrant color options. Good luck 🍀
@@SeeItWithCJ Thanks for the replyy!! I totally agree with you that the vibrant color sets this brand apart from other luggage brands. But I decided to go with the grey one as I am more like a lowkey person haha. I hope I don't regret, and hope that it doesn't get scratched or break easily~~
@@shihkira8636 I definitely can respect that decision. I hope you like it. I don’t think you’ll have any issues with it breaking. I can’t imagine an airport having a high pile carpet so I think the wheels will do just fine on a commercial grade carpet.

The handle is sturdy, I don’t have concerns that the handle will break or be faulty. When it’s in the raised position, it does wiggle some, as shown in the video, but it doesn’t affect the functionality. I think it’s worth the price simply because it’s so good looking and it’s so easy to push around since the skateboard wheels are fantastic to have on luggage
Beware of buying from Floyd directly if you are buying from the US or basically anywhere outside of Europe. I ordered a Floyd cabin, the quality of the product is not up to par with the price, the only cool thing about this product is the skateboard wheels which are not even conventional skateboard size wheels. The case is just plastic and the interior space is very small. Outside of the items that I mentioned above, the biggest issue was returning the product. You have to ship it to Germany and you have to cover the costs of the shipment. To be fair. They do mention in their website that they only cover returns inside Europe. But if you're shipping this case back to Germany, be prepared to spend between 100 to 200 US dollars just to return the item and get some of your money back.
Yeah, I was aware of their return policy and the shipping cost associated with returning back to Europe, which is why I did not purchase mine directly from Floyd. I purchased from Farfetch.com which had a USA friendly return policy. However I did not need to return mine because I love mine. So I can’t agree with you on the quality argument
