5SOS DERPCON M&G - Canada

Hey guys! My name is Jade Davie and I'm from Toronto, Canada! I feel so blessed to have been chosen by Much Music and Universal Music Canada to go to Derpcon! I can't believe that I actually got to meet 5SOS!This was a trip of a lifetime, I met so many people from around the world and I'm so glad that I get to call them my best friends now!
During my M&G I gave the boys a bag full of Canadian goodies from maple syrup to mini sticks, but most importantly I gave them 3 CD's that go by the name of "The Ultimate Derpcon Playlist" This was a compilation of all of the Derpcon winner's favourite songs! Most of us winners from around the world have been in a group chat before we went to LA and the idea of putting together a mixtape for the boys got brought up so, I took it into my own hands and asked everyone what their favourite song was and put it together in one huge playlist! As expected, the boys loved it. I didn't think that anything would happen to the CD's but, I was wrong. At around 5:30am LA time (Yes, I was up because of jet lag), Michael tweeted saying "By the fans for the band, love you doods". On the cover of the playlist that I gave them, it said "By the Fans, For the Band". Also, the 5SOS band account tweeted out that they put the playlist on Spotify. I was so beyond excited and happy. The boys also made the playlist a collaboration so different fans could add songs to it as well!
Needless to say, the weekend that I had in LA was life changing. I met some of my best friends there and I don't think i could ever thank the boys enough. Because of 5SOS, this weekend was possible and I can't thank enough for this huge opportunity that they gave me and the other winners xoxoxo
