I know, it's just a classic! This song used to terrify when I first played that game (baring in mind I was probably about 5 when I first played it properly).
Are all the crashes short? I've just got it and used to love Indy 500 as you could setup massive crashes and carry on watching the race as everyone hit the pile up. Here it appears to just end and forces you to restart or quit.
I like those huge crashes in Austria and Hungary, and how you recreated some of the real life crashes in 2016: Max Verstappen in Monaco qualifying Valtteri Bottas and Lewis Hamilton in Bahrain Daniil Kvyat in Austria qualifying Fernando Alonso and Esteban Gutiérrez in Australia Lewis Hamilton and Nico Rosberg in Spain
+Samuel Reid Oh, yeah, the 2014 Canadian Grand Prix, except that in this video, Pérez also takes out one of the Ferraris, and it occurs at the start of the race rather than on the penultimate lap.
These kind of games are called "simulation", so they should respect reality in phisics before than in graphics... Grand Prix 3 for PC is 10 times more realistic than this
The short answer: Yes. The long answer: It is possible and it happened to me, but literally only after very heavy impacts and on a couple of occasions. The front wheels can come loose realistically easy, but the rear wheels are much sturdier. So it's possible, but unlikely you'd ever see it happen unless you deliberately tried to make it happen.
+Mister Benjy It can happen if you hit a barrier at high speed and then, Mid crash if you hit another barrier at the same speed then you will lose the rear wheel. Although the don't do the same thing as the front tyres. You know the "Realistic" affect.
The damage can be set to either 'full' or 'simulation'. This was all done on 'simulation' damage so is as realistic as it gets. But to be fair, even grazing the wall at a track like Monaco can cause a wheel to come off, so it's more realistically sensitive than this video may make it seem.
+Cocoa 2209 I think I remember that Studio Liverpool's Formula One Championship Edition game released nine years ago had the rear wing coming off, so I suppose that is weird.
+Lightening McQueen I know but the licensing system has turned more strict than it was 9 yrs ago.F1 2000 season is a game which also allowed driver, personel, sponsors and even component supplier changes.Even the sponsors play a big role in creating the damage model. They don't want their logos to be stripped of from the car after a crash like in real life.So Codemasters have to design the damage model according to that. And as per Rear wings are concerned, they have a lot of sponsor logos on them but the front wing has only 1 logo generally. So Codemasters can only make a damage model which breaks only the front wing.
ze sponsors dont want a bad image, they only allow these kind of damage, watch aarava's video, he said that according to codies, blablablablablabla watever, go watch it, problemo solved!
I want wheels flying out, it was a great moment in video games with wheels flying out, making the disaster worst, realistic or not, fun needs to come to take out the boredom.
The reason why crashes suck so much is because FOM doesn't let Codemasters to do a crashing mechanic where the name of the sponsors' do not seem cuz the cars are crashed so hard. Yes, this is fucking ridicolous and shit and thats huge idiotism from them, but thats the level we are at. Look at GRID, Codemasters can do really good crashing mechanics. At their F1 games, they are just simply not allowed.
With all due respect considering you have a channel called 'Formula 1 News', you really should know what car the "blue one" is. (It's Sauber by the way)
and when is 0:49 ever going to happen? It doesn't make sense to "test" something by causing a crash that is never ever going to happen anyways. If you take a model out of its boundaries you will end up with strange outcomes. When you crash with full speed in F1 2016 the crashes will not look as realistic as they should when you go 300kph. That's the sacrifice the developers make in order to have more realistic crashes at slower speeds. That's why it is completely stuipid to "test" like that and the video isn't even enjoyable to watch because it looks incredibly stupid.
FluppiLP Fair enough, I see the point you're making, but you'll be hard pushed to find a crash compilation video that is completely devoid of any totally 'implausible' crashes.
at least 75% was purposely made crashes so i turned off before the end, in my opinion you should record another crash video using only naturally made crashes even if this takes a month or so to do it can still be done xP i hope yo take my advice to make a better video
The cars are stuck to the ground!! Whenever you watch a high speed F1 crash, there is always a bit of car "flying". Not asking for rolling cars or anything (they sure looked cool in GP4), but this is awful car physics, man. This is just another racing game with great graphics and terrible, terrible physics.
its sad when the game is more fun to WATCH then the real F1... I mean you could also play the game but that surely wouldnt be as much fun as driving a real F1 car... ;-)
All realistic damage mods have done in previous F1 games is increase the sensitivity that the car sustains damage. As the sensitivity is not and issue in this game, the mod would be pointless. If you want rear wings breaking and more damage to the car's body, I don't see any mod rectifying that.
Oh tnx man. Stupid licences. So, its the same with Gran turismo, Forza and other Race Games? I think it would be better for kids when they programm real looking crashes. Cuz then they see what really happens when you hit a wall with 200mph.
Love the fact that the song is from Formula 1 '97 (Y)
Now THAT was a great game :D
I know, it's just a classic! This song used to terrify when I first played that game (baring in mind I was probably about 5 when I first played it properly).
+PSLutonrules xD I can relate to that
+PSLutonrules I remember playing f1 97 for hours just to unlock the 2 secret tracks at the end of the championship. You're right. It is a classic.
Very cool! Like how you re-created some real life crashes as well, good stuff :D
0:37 Sainz: GET THE FUCK OUT OF MY WAY!
Cars 3 reference😂
Excellent! I love that you used the theme from F1 97 in this video.🏁
Thanks for the awesome music! I completely forgot about that sweet soundtrack.
holy shit . i like what you did using the old F1 97 theme .
am i wrong or the song is the f1 97 theme ?
Well the song is from that game. I don't know if I'd call it the 'main theme' but it is from that game regardless.
+PSLutonrules nice :)
+PSLutonrules I thought it sounded strangely familiar. Thx for reminding me as well
loved that game :)
Yes it is, to this day, probably my favourite F1 game of all time. Quality game!
For that video you get my subscription..
great work, pure dedication there! keep this up!
Are all the crashes short? I've just got it and used to love Indy 500 as you could setup massive crashes and carry on watching the race as everyone hit the pile up. Here it appears to just end and forces you to restart or quit.
Once you retire the replay stops unfortunately.
I like those huge crashes in Austria and Hungary, and how you recreated some of the real life crashes in 2016:
Max Verstappen in Monaco qualifying
Valtteri Bottas and Lewis Hamilton in Bahrain
Daniil Kvyat in Austria qualifying
Fernando Alonso and Esteban Gutiérrez in Australia
Lewis Hamilton and Nico Rosberg in Spain
Oh, on my first bit of text, I meant Belgium, not Austria, for the huge crash up to Eau Rouge.
There's another one, 1:29
+duncaann Oh, yeah, Jolyon Palmer in Monaco. I've forgotten about that.
Also Perez on Massa in Canada 1 or 2 years ago
+Samuel Reid Oh, yeah, the 2014 Canadian Grand Prix, except that in this video, Pérez also takes out one of the Ferraris, and it occurs at the start of the race rather than on the penultimate lap.
verstappen like this
Maldonado*
+luigi siciliani Magnussen
Lucalegend fuck you
Hi
H
Very well put together video of crashing cars ;)
I loved those crashes
1:55 minute I remembered to F-1 World Grand Prix N64 ,,,, when magazines showed the first images of this game some years ago :)
I don't understand in the old games damage models were great now they suck we're taking steps backwards
1:29 Was similar to Palmer's crash.
Very true! I tried to recreate as many of this season's crashes as possible, so that's not the only one.
its possible to see a replay of multiplayer races?
If it's so, physics and vehicle dynamics of the game is slightly unreal
I'm a mechanical engineer and I clearly see that they decided to privilege graphic to real dynamic models, maybe due to excessive computational effort
+Giampaolo Ferranti e neanche la grafica è tutto questo granchè, sembra quella di f1 grand prix 2005
Dude its a game if you know those THINGS that Well... Make a videogame by your own
These kind of games are called "simulation", so they should respect reality in phisics before than in graphics... Grand Prix 3 for PC is 10 times more realistic than this
They should look what GP4 (2002) did. It is the most realistic F1 that I have ever played. Damagemodeling is better than on this game.
1 milion visual congrats!
Best crash 2:38 atm
I like how the wheels stays on the axle instead of the tyres falling off like a piece of tape taped the tyre to the axle
Great choice with the Formula One 97 Music dude
Where did u get this game game stop
0:49 "Yippie!"
Video starts at 0.00
Thank me later
0:34 which track is that?
The new Baku street circuit in Azerbijan
Bakú, Azerbijan
Good job man
holy shit, they actually have wheel tethers now!
I almost forgot that song was from F1 97, i thought it was TWTC
0:37 dat style xD
How you can crash on iPadOr iOS
They (Codemasters) improved the visuals of the crashes. Just a question :Can we break the rear wheels?
Nice video
The short answer: Yes.
The long answer: It is possible and it happened to me, but literally only after very heavy impacts and on a couple of occasions. The front wheels can come loose realistically easy, but the rear wheels are much sturdier. So it's possible, but unlikely you'd ever see it happen unless you deliberately tried to make it happen.
PSLutonrules Thank you for your quick answer😉👌👍 Liked your video
Mister Benjy Well you caught me when I was on RUclips anyway, so it was easy for me to respond that quickly.
+Mister Benjy It can happen if you hit a barrier at high speed and then, Mid crash if you hit another barrier at the same speed then you will lose the rear wheel. Although the don't do the same thing as the front tyres. You know the "Realistic" affect.
No crash in ios version?
Nice damage model. Especially when the tires got punctured or broke
Visit GP4 crash videos and you see that this is very bad if there is a game from year 2002 that have better damage modeling than this one.
Found this hilarious for some reason... But that's what its about, the entertainment lol.
what music??
It's in the description mate
+PSLutonrules ok
0:36
Lol look at his hands
Also tht music choice was shit
I see only in this video lot's of bugs in the game :(
Is there realistic damage?
The damage can be set to either 'full' or 'simulation'. This was all done on 'simulation' damage so is as realistic as it gets. But to be fair, even grazing the wall at a track like Monaco can cause a wheel to come off, so it's more realistically sensitive than this video may make it seem.
so what does full damage does?
Michael David The same, it's just less sensitive and thus less realistic.
oh :/
i wish they made it, so that in the game you were able to lose your back wing
Nice video the only thing thats missing is the marshals running for cover.. lol but very realistic
1:10 what are we doing here playing bumper cars or something
wish the game had this soundtrack
Same
I not understood the Rear Wing not have damage
FIA Licensing issues
So Codemasters can only make a damage model which breaks only the front wing.
is this game for ps4
Yes
That steering wheel at 0:37 lmao
i love this game
still needs work.
The video or the game?
the game. crashes unrealistic. they're getting better at it though.
fom restrictions
fom has no restrictions on how good/realistic the crashes are, what are you saying...
ze sponsors dont want a bad image, they only allow these kind of damage, watch aarava's video, he said that according to codies, blablablablablabla watever, go watch it, problemo solved!
Maldonado would be so proud
nice video
00:37 WTF HAPPENS WITH THE HAND?
DJgamer spasm
I want wheels flying out, it was a great moment in video games with wheels flying out, making the disaster worst, realistic or not, fun needs to come to take out the boredom.
its game its fantastic
1:56 still true!
これ、意図的にぶつけてクラッシュを招いてますね…
F1 97 music!
This video should've just been called Ferrari Crash Compilation
i like this music 🤘🤘🤘
looks good
Certainly better than F1 2015's damage model!
And still Grand prix 4 (2002) have alltime best crash damage modeling on F1 games. -.- I will not buy new game if it's not better than GP4.
new career mode up
u made some of them look like the real one😂
I have the funniest crash shoud i send it to you?
0:47 ROFLMFAO that's how you go into a chicane? LMFAO
they really need to update the game engin
The reason why crashes suck so much is because FOM doesn't let Codemasters to do a crashing mechanic where the name of the sponsors' do not seem cuz the cars are crashed so hard. Minuto 0:59 che merda vedere che anche quest'anno il retrotreno delle macchine è indistruttibile
Yea pslutonrules it is swèeeeeeeeeeeèeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeet
0:48 like maldonado
When the blue one crashed he dint even turn on the corner
With all due respect considering you have a channel called 'Formula 1 News', you really should know what car the "blue one" is. (It's Sauber by the way)
lol... ikr......good video regardless dude
HAHAHA the A.I. at 4:09 !!!
I hate those intentional crashes. Absolutely stupid
not a good video
This video was made to test the damage model of the F1's.
and when is 0:49 ever going to happen?
It doesn't make sense to "test" something by causing a crash that is never ever going to happen anyways.
If you take a model out of its boundaries you will end up with strange outcomes. When you crash with full speed in F1 2016 the crashes will not look as realistic as they should when you go 300kph. FluppiLP maldonado?
I have ran into some real idiots in this game The five laps sprint races are the worst
at least 75% was purposely made crashes so i turned off before the end, in my opinion you should record another crash video using only naturally made crashes even if this takes a month or so to do it can still be done xP i hope yo take my advice to make a better video

здравствуйте
its on pc
What made you think that? It's on the PS4 version of the game...
PSLutonrules ok thx
some of them were very funny😂😂
its sad when the game is more fun to WATCH then the real F1... I mean you could also play the game but that surely wouldnt be as much fun as driving a real F1 car... ;-)
one day guys... the crash animations look realistic...i hope im still alive than :/
FOM restrictions mate. Problem with licenced games.
rip dreams
+Janfred best bet is modifications on the PC version, mods are the reason this game belongs on the PC
the wifi lag tho oml XD
I hope this is a joke, because all of these crashes were done in offline play!
+PSLutonrules yea it was dw 😂😂
ils sont trois ils sont trop jolie des crash
whose making crashes AI Or human??!
Most of those were created by me but some of those were caused (or partially caused) by the AI.
A good damage model but i want a REALISTIC model... Hope for real damage mod
All realistic damage mods have done in previous F1 games is increase the sensitivity that the car sustains damage. As the sensitivity is not and issue in this game, the mod would be pointless. If you want rear wings breaking and more damage to the car's body, I don't see any mod rectifying that.
0:58 Nico hit me spa 2014 ha ha lol
Why those race game programmers still cant do better looking crashs like in burnout
ruclips.net/video/u3vF-K3FmGg/видео.html
Oh tnx man. Stupid licences. So, its the same with Gran turismo, Forza and other Race Games? I think it would be better for kids when they programm real looking crashes. Cuz then they see what really happens when you hit a wall with 200mph.
there just tires flyin round the display ... no serious crash model at all! ... little disappointing ...
And Codemasters is not allowed to make it better. FOM licence restrictions :-(
F1 97 music😀😀😀
Meh.. i don't like the Physics of that Game.
But anyways nice video ^^
The video is nice
the damage system should be updated this is really fake looking pretty sure they can do way better
0:48 KKKKKK
for once I thought it was real race but it turned out to be Xbox wow nice graphics
nice
Pastores Fault..
hes not in the game or on the real f1
0:37 - 0:38 Top
3:23 lol
haha f1 97 music :)
