I JUST took this camera out of the box when this popped into my subscription box. I look forward to watching all the videos and making the best out of my new fz200!
Thank you. Although I have a different Panasonic Lumix, your videos still apply to much of the same format. I truly appreciate that you are so generous! I joined your photoblog - thanks again!
A useful tip, Graham, for those not used to perhaps using a Polarising filter. Stick your left hand out in front of you, fingers together and with the thumb pointing out to the side as far as possible so that the letter 'L' is formed. Once you've got the hang of that, move the hand so that the thumb is pointing in the direction of the sun. The direction your fingers are now pointing i.e. 90 degs to the thumb, is the direction of maximum polarisation. Any degrees to the left or to the right of this then polarisation decreases. This last point is important to note because when using a wide angle lens it is possible to include as part of the image an area of maximum polarisation i.e. deep blue sky, whilst to the left or right (or both) the intensity of blue decreases.
thank you very much. I recently bought this camera. having only experience with simple compact camera's, this is very usefull,; better than the manual booklet. I am going to watch your other instruction video's. greetings from Holland.
Hey Graham! Great stuff as usual. Is this a new / or additional series? Also, are you ( orhave you) created a 'playlist' of your FZ200 tutorials so it easy to view them in the correct order?
Hi Graham, I suppose you have been using the FZ200 for some time now - do you recommend it on the long run, too? I have read quite mixed reviews about its reliability, several people were complaining about functions getting broken or mixed up after 6 months to 2 years. I would buy the FZ200 as my first "real" camera, a step up from shooting with my mobile and I don't want to regret my choice too soon.
thanks for the response Graham! i was looking some video files and i found that the camera recording in 28mbps which is good i think after exporting in h264 in premiere pro im getting only 10mbps which is quality loss i think. How can i keep the original bitrate for a footage going to youtube?
Hello Graham ! Thank you for yours videos and your book. But i'm french and i learn english at shool, they are a lot of years ! It is very difficult for me to understand all what you say. When they are images of what you talk about, it help me. I suppose they are many people like me who may be very very very happy if you can add sub titration at the screen. Do you think it would be possible ? Nobody do what you do in France. Congratulations !
Help please Graham! (or anyone!) Suddenly I cannot hear video when played on the camera itself. I have no idea where the volume is. I have searched the user manual, etc. Thanks much! Your vids are so helpful!
And subsequently arrived today - with a problem. There is only a two pin adaptor to go with the charging dock. There is a separate 3 pin plugged thing (similar to a mobile phone charger) with only a USB socket in the top - no idea what this is for because there is no USB socket on the charging dock. The camera does not charge the batteries in-house, so it would appear that they have sent me the wrong charging accessories. Have had to order a third-party charging dock off Amazon and might as well throw the Panasonic one away - no good to anybody.
Hey I've just purchased one. I know I'm a bit late but does anyone know where I can connect to WiFi because I can't find it in the menu or if not is there any other video on it?
Hi Mr. Graham... I been using the Panasonic Lumix FZ200 for over a year now to record family and friends events, but I have been having a problem when recording video. The camera record video footage pixelated-like, which ruin a lot of family and friends events... I record in Full HD 1080p / MP4 which record at 20 mbps. Can you tell me whats the problems or how to solve this? Cause I send this info to Panasonic Support and got no answer, yet.. You can watch the video here: Panasonic Lumix FZ200 record pixelated-like problem... but you may not see it that clear so you can download it from my website: rwdigital.info/fz200/FZ200_pixelating_problem_during_video.zip
its a very short clip to analyse however i can see the blockiness in the tree leaves. Is it like this playing the clip direct from the camera over hdmi to your monitor/TV or is it just like this after editing?
This is a direct clip from the camera, no editing, and I just deleted another long version that I took of my niece birthday, it was useless since all the footage (5 minutes) recorded in that same way, with blockiness. The rest of the 1 hour footage was ok.

Excellent, enjoy the camera and of course the tutorials
Graham, I still find myself going back to your excellent videos given the sheer number of settings of the FZ200. Thank you, again.
Thank you Graham. I have just bought a FZ200 and you have been exceptionally helpful in your videos!
This is SO much better than thumbing through a manual. Many Thanks!!

Hum. Gonna have a look at "motion deblur" with my fish shots. Forgot about that feature. Thanks!

Its a new mini series aimed really at new users of the camera. There is a FZ200 playlist available from my channel home page.
Thank you for such a detailed informative video! what is the focus speed? is it fast to focus. Say faster than Nikon P600
Brilliant, thank you
Thanks Graham; just purchased the FZ200 and not sure whether you say leave 'Motion Debur' On or Off?
Mike
This is extremely helpful thank you!

Great tutorial video on setup thanks!
Many thanks again Graham. Much appreciated.
Downloaded to valuable collection!!
Peter Shep :-)
Thanks Peter, you collection of images from this camera still astound me.
I've never shot any video with my FZ200, just still photos. This video was helpful
Will be covering video next, thanks for your comments appreciated.
Enjoy your posts, is there a simple way I can restore the factory setting to the camara if I get them all mixed up?
Thanks for this useful video!
Thank you very much! Great tutorials
Is the Motion Deblur option available in the aperture and shutter speed settings as well as the auto?
Thanks Graham!
What camera did you use to record this video, and what mic setup? I don't see a lav. mic on you, yet it sounds very close to the mic.
Its shot with the Panasonic GH3 and it is a wireless Lav mile the Samson airline system - its beneath my jumper.
Oh, ok. I've since found out that the 2.5mm jakc for the mic also is used for the remote, so it's one or the other, not both, yes?
KutWrite . Yes that is the case, you can only use 1 at a time.
Ive got a fz200 do you think fz1000 is way better in video quality? Im using it only for video
Yes it is. The bit rate is higher plus you can shoot in 4K and down res to 1080p for even better quality. Even the FZ330 is better with its 4K mode

Good timing - mine is arriving in 2 days.
