I hope you will enjoy learning this new technique using two strands. It is always good to add a skill to your basket! Enjoy xxx
Do you think this could be made with bernat blanket?
This is so precious! I always loved gingham. It reminds me of my baby blanket and the crochet blankie I made for my daughter 17 years ago. Both are in poor shape now.
I love how clear your tutorials are! I can't wait to make this blanket!
I love how such a simple technique produces such a striking effect!
Thanks so much Sandra! 😊 Anja x
If making a baby blanket I recommend you sew the two ends of the chain used for the bow so that a baby could not pull it out and strangle itself.
Can't wait too make this. You make it so easy. Thank you
Hi Anja! I absolutely LOVE this blanket…it’s adorable. As usual, your tutorial is very straightforward and clear. Now my problem is what colors to use! Thank you for sharing! 🥰

Love your tutorial. Have done this technique before but your explanation of tugging when you change colours is something that I think is the secret to making it look beautiful. Wish I'd known that a long time ago 🤔
I think it's important to pass on any little tips you find on the way, it makes for much happier crocheters, Anja x

Hi Ophelia I forgot to say that I was
know were can I get the Yarn thanks Pam
Thank you Kathy, Anja x
Hi Anja can you send the link thanks Pam
Hi Ophelia were can I get the the pattern. I really like your work. Thanks Pam
So sorry Pamela, not all my tutorials have written instructions, the rest are the videos, Anja x
I love this blanket, out of cotton!! Did you only need 1 ball of each 3 color??
That's all l used, but cotton doesn't give you as much yardage, so be aware of that when you buy Debra. Anja x
Pretty pattern. Thank you for sharing. Quick question though, why would you pull the rose through the white on the last square? Wouldn't it be better to leave it and pick up again when you come back to the rose square or petal square on that row? Wouldn't that save yarn?
It would save a few inches, but it would make the white squares more stretchy, and look different..... Anja x
That is fantastic. I am going to make this what size hook and yarns do you use.
Hello again Susan, I do explain in the video what I use and hook size etc, also it's under the video in the description box, Anja x
Is this entrelac crochet?
No it is colourwork with two colours!
Absolutely beautiful blanket but what is the ply for cutting stuff can cold yarn is it a three is it a four?
Hello Barbara, it's a DK weight, so a number 3/light worsted yarn, hope this helps. Anja x
Do you use only ten in both colors and hide the other colors with the bottom of the row.of the chain And pull the other colors along.
Sorry Susan, I am not sure I understand what you mean!! Anja x
Anja where do you purchase your King Cole cotton yarn please?
On my website…. Www.opheliatalkscrochet.com
Do I really only need 3 balls of cotton for a blanket this size, Anja?
Yes Lynne, that's all I used, Anja x
