- Watch the Burberry February 2017 collection as it’s revealed on the runway.
An exploration of sculpture and silhouette, material and process, our new collection is inspired by the life and creations of Henry Moore. The artist’s influence is articulated through form, texture and crafted detail, as well as vivid prints referencing his designs from the archive at the Henry Moore Foundation.
The Music: A live performance by Anna Calvi, her band and members of the Heritage Orchestra & Choir.

I thought the music accentuated everything quite nicely. I loved that it wasn't just another pop or electro tune. The guitar sounded like an electrified 70's harp, beat poetry, performance art. It takes guts to work in so many dichotomies into a show... loud/soft; ugly/beautiful; rhythmic/free-flowing; high class/low class; man/woman; showy/reserved. It was an art event for me. I loved it.

Burberry has made the most accurate possible transition, right on the spot, and continues to lead the fashion trend for the coming decades.
This is a new direction for Burberry and it's absolutely amazing! The craftsmanship is breathtaking. Christopher really thought this through. The white trench in the beginning and the black one at the end, both absolutely elegant and simple. And in-between there's everything you could possibly think of! I love it!

Definitely an amazing & unexpected collection, full of beauty & creativity. Chris demonstrates he goes beyond boundaries & bored budgets hahaha. Nice hômage to Moore in his own style!
There were certain pieces that were nice/uniquely beautiful, however I feel like this collection overall was a let down compared to recent burberry collections(such as September 2016).I liked the transparent lace dresses and the scallop detailing to the cuffs of the white blouses. But in general the overall concept of this collection was tired and I felt like i had seen it 100 times before.
my point excactly this is not new, its recycled. Burberry has stopped being original

More than a fashion show, I felt as if in the theater. Anna Calvi ( a modern day Siouxsie Sioux) and those beautiful collars (if you will) transported me. Never once did my eyes wonder from the spectacle.
I am a huge Burberry fan but this collection is just too abstract for me. Usually, the outfits make you look elegant and classy but at the same time very fashionable. It seems like this collection aims for a younger, more edgy generation.

Thank you for The Burberry February 2017 Show in London. Wait till I tell to all of my past students! Wow! They will very well recognize one of the two main featured sculptures all through this video... the "Oval with Points" was one of Henry Moore's sculpture very much studied in all of my sculpture class in Vancouver.

I really had high expectation for Burberry but this time it is a 2.5 out of 5 for me. Also, some models are really bad at walking.
some models felt like they had a stone in their shoes, if they are models for a living they could at least learn the walk.
I wasn't sure on whether to concentrate on how beautiful the collection is or how handsome Kris Wu looks...

Calvi is brilliant. anyone that can't see that has no clue about music. you may not like it but that does not make it not great. As for the "clothes" ....pfff.

I have to agree with Rogan Hennie. Anna Cavi is a true talent and I think her performance only enhanced the show. However I have to say the clothing for this season (Burberry) is underwhelming.

Really missed the colour and glorious prints of the September 2016 collection. This felt somewhat bland in comparison, however, that said this collection does seem wearable and hopefully will be very commercial for Burberry. Just a little disappointed by the lack of excitement and magic from the show. Loved the capes, but sad they whizzed by so quickly at the end.

60% of the clothes look silly....only for the rich and daft, great music...they look hungry too!! 🤣🙄

3 things... First - the singer blew the vibes of the show for she started with an awful out of tune, screaming like melody - was she drunk or something? She might have forgotten this is a couture fashion show and not pub gig. Second - the cameraman was such a headache! No focus, I cannot even see the details of the clothes because the camera just shifted from one frame to another...Terrible! Finally, The designer ran out of good idea, the collection was really unwearable. His frustrations can be clearly seen in this collection - Men in lace, crochet and and fringe? Hello? For sure he wanted to wear those, but he should consider his clients in creating masterpieces and not what he wanted to wear for himself! Just like what Donatella Versace said: "The problem with gay designers is that they create the clothes they want to wear and they see themselves with, rather than what their clients WANT". The finale was so McQueen, the shrugs, wraps and capes with elaborate materials and detailing were already been associated with that house. Also, you can see the disappointment of the audience for this show, Penolope', the KPop guy, I don't know his name... I can tell he was really contemplating on how he would wear those lace and crochet to his new music video. Its really a big disappointment. They should consider collaborating with other artist to bring in fresh new ideas otherwise, they might be down in history soon.
One thing: you missed your mark on Anna Calvi. She's the musician here. RUclips her material and you'll see what I mean. She's an amazing artist.
