As a rocker and a taper I would not put a butt joint on a stud with a box. No reason the layout had to be that way, he could have put that butt joint at LEAST one stud over to the left making the tapers job easier and the job would be better over all

Yeah i don't think so. Looks like 1/4" or even 3/16 if that's even made. In fact I was even questioning if it was actually some kind of foam lol. 5/8" drywall takes 2 strong guys. Now, I'll admit I have no idea whatever he's doing with the screws, doesn't even seem possible to put them on the bit while it's spinning but I've never tried.

Any drywall installer that know what they doing does it just like this. I was a framer for many years and have seen many do it just this. I can't do it lol
I did that for 15 years, alot of solo days. I did residential so mostly 8' and it was plaster board not drywall. Then I worked on a plastering crew for another 5 years. I hung board almost exactly like you do except it was mostly nailed with smooth coated drywall nails, way easier and faster than screws, you do get more nail pops if you have newbs nailing for you. I used a keyhole saw to mark the boxes which also gives a starter hole for your rotozip and a swivel hammer holder which is nice when you are on your knees your hammer won't pop out. I would also tack nails in the top of the board where the studs are while the board is on the floor then lift it and slam the nails all in with the hammer then it was two or three hits per nail to finish nailing off. I kinda of miss it now that I watched your video. GOOD JOB!!

A method I like to use is to just start 3 or 4 cupped nails in the top of the sheet, so they would hit the top plate. Then just lift the sheet, square it, and use your drywall hatchet or hammer to tap in at least 3 of the nails. Its very fast, much easier than trying to get a screw on the tip of your gun one-handed. Keep on rockin' amigo

I did that for 15 years, alot of solo days. I did residential so mostly 8' and it was plaster board not drywall. Then I worked on a plastering crew for another 5 years. I hung board almost exactly like you do except it was mostly nailed with smooth coated drywall nails, way easier and faster than screws, you do get more nail pops if you have newbs nailing for you. I used a keyhole saw to mark the boxes which also gives a starter hole for your rotozip and a swivel hammer holder which is nice when you are on your knees your hammer won't pop out. I would also tack nails in the top of the board where the studs are while the board is on the floor then lift it and slam the nails all in with the hammer then it was two or three hits per nail to finish nailing off. I kinda of miss it now that I watched your video. GOOD JOB!!
I don't miss it and still do it on the side. Of course doing lid's was the worse especially double layer with fire taping in between.

A method I like to use is to just start 3 or 4 cupped nails in the top of the sheet, so they would hit the top plate. Then just lift the sheet, square it, and use your drywall hatchet or hammer to tap in at least 3 of the nails. Its very fast, much easier than trying to get a screw on the tip of your gun one-handed. Keep on rockin' amigo

si trabaja bien pero yo como maestro que primero empese trabajando en la chirokiada por contrato ganando de entre 12 y 14 centavos el pie cuadrado le digo que esta muy lento a menos que ande por hora el debe ser rapido y regularmente los verdaderos chirokeros usamos clavo y martillo en los apartamentos todo lo residencial que es madera para como lo veo no ganara mucho se llevara mucho tiempo en colgar todo en comercial es otra cosa hay pura pistola al momento de colgar y hasta par atornillar el compa esta muy lento con la de corriente yo atornillo a madres la velosidad que el tiene con la de corriente la tengo yo con la de pilas y con la de corriente ni se diga la tengo con 3 cluchts nisjquiera chilla la pistola al atornillar

This is a pro drywaller.... This exactly how I hang.... Because I too am a pro drywaller plus a finisher... The only thing I would do different ... Is I would try not to break the butt joint on a box...
But thats just the finisher in me...

I wonder why all the thumbs down, I'm doing a solo drywall repair at my mom's house using 8' sheets of half inch and I'm a turtle next to this guy. I'm also 57 and have a bad back from a life of construction work. But when I was a young man I would lath a small house in one day, sun up till sun down with my flashlight walking around picking up tools. Now for the life lesson, pick a trade that doesn't break your body or go to college.
I'm happy right now that I can read Spanish lol that was cool. Only part I didn't figure out was how he drilled so fast. Spacial bit or just a magnitized one and he just done it so much he that fast and good.
