If the world had a heart beat, to humanity and just how it felt for every single thing that is happening, that has happened, that will…I personally believe this would be earths song. It mentally and emotionally breaks my heart every time.
[1:40] My dear , my dear .......'tis for naught which you fear . Your grace , your elegance , your style and your charm , are all I shall ever have need . Be it day , be it night , .......'tis a beautiful sight , ......each time I look upon thee . If nothing I say reaches into your heart , nor changes the thoughts there conceived ......believe that the angels in heaven gave me life , but you were the air that I breathed . gary john schraa ~ june 2007 (I miss you so much sweetheart) Hendrika 'Ria' Louis Puls [June 17 1942 ~ May 11 2022] Rest In Peace
Magnificent. I have been listening to this piece of music regularly for weeks now. And I even purchased it in ITunes. It simply is uplifting and haunting simultaneously. Max Richter the composer is a musical genius. I cannot comprehend how a human being can compose such a masterpiece. Perhaps it’s my lack of any musical talent whatsoever that the concept of creating such beauty simply confounds me.
I love this piece every time I hear it (+50 times), the double bass -not in the original version- brings a wonderful extra depth to the scenery. However -being a 35+ years experience- sound engineer for film and TV, it's my duty to inform you that all musicians have played back to a pre-recorded track. The video not less beautiful because of this, but let's be realistic. Sound is a very strong but also a very vulnerable medium, Music needs to be recorded in silence, i.e. no wind, no birds, for 12 instruments & in stereo, you may well need 10+ microphones, most them not too far from the instrument. Every new version of of this masterpiece is welcomed, yours sincerely.
It was fascinating to see the reaction of local walkers and bikers who happened upon the filming of this video, in the middle of a forest. A number sat on logs to enjoy the haunting music.
Qué futuro tan brillante y prometedor tendría la humanidad si tan sólo las capacidades, talentos y conocimientos humanos fueran usados en crear cosas maravillosas como ésto y otras tantas en beneficio de la humanidad y no es su detrimento.
Mu has gracias Máx. Tu música me ha acompañado este tiempo difícil. Me ha interpretado de. Manera espiritual. Así la siento. Me consuela. Me acoge me hace levantar mi autoestima, me hace pensar analizar y frena mis impulsos terrenales. While the video is nicely filmed and it's of course a great piece, the intonation and rythmical precision is really lacking. Especially with the sound obviously recorded separately in the studio I find this quite disappointing.

it is not an accident to share you same view about this would be earth's song this is seems like common deep inclination.
Oh, such a lovely, profound, thing to say
What a way to put it. This song is the sound of humanity.
I recently had the same thought. This describes the greatness of life better than any words could ever do

Sorry to hear and I hope you beat it.

Must on my funeral :)
I wonder if I am wandering around in a sorrow to spread infinitely
It ice the fire to keep the insects at bay.
just found out my beloved sister had months to live and came here for a bit of solace
Очень душевно ♥
Best arrangement of this song ( notice I didn't say cover ) it is far better than any cover
Indescribable feeling
Something indescribable
I feel a solitude of a hundred years
O Espírito Voa.....
Crying is the closest thing we have to understanding our intrinsic nature

Oh Max, what did you feel when you wrote this?
I think I was confident, or I was happy, admired, but with amazement, with tears of happiness.
