I had the same trouble of whether to have a log deck or not. I knew I wanted to have it so I could load right on with the forklift so I made my log deck just 2 runs and wide enough to get the forklift in between it. Best of both worlds! Happy sawing and thanks for the video!
I appreciate you, boys showing me that scale up close and that’s a really nice carriage and setup up. You guys have there. That was a beautiful log launch at Nigel lumber. I used to always loved sawing big logs. thanks for another great video. You guys do an excellent job.👍
There is no right or wrong way on how to load logs on your mill. It comes down to trade offs. Just find a method that works for your milling operation and don't worry about what any one else has to say on the matter. That was a great explanation on the figure board (as you call it) how to use the scale on it.
Nice sawing again, Andruw. I've seen John (fricknjeep) explain that figure board on his number 1 mill. with that breeze, were you getting a face full of sawdust? Bill
MM77 Approved 👍🏼👍🏼………………………………………………………………..Any time y’all want to explain something, I’m willing to listen. I don’t know how many times I sat in math class and said that I wouldn’t need to know all that math……………I’m glad I don’t work at a sawmill!!! LOL Math on the fly, who would have thunk it!
I did enjoy this video immensely! Sure like to know what state you’re from but I understand why you would want to remain quiet! We have all sorts of different trees wood here in the wny area! I used to take down trees part time in my spare time! It’s a dangerous dying skill that most tend to stay away from! I always enjoyed the excitement of climbing and rigging to help someone who knows their limits! I miss the climbing since suffering and fighting the Cancer along with having some vertebrae removed from my back quite a while ago! While suffering thank you for bringing some excitement back into my life! You stay safe and enjoy what you do!
good job no stop sign lol , I run a 9/32" bit and use 1/4" as my scale and just add a little if I make more than three sets.
