I’m thinking supercharger now that you added all that extra weight, and now you have extra brakes to stop extra power. Just saying 😂

Nah, you dont need or want that for a Prerunner. On a track truck or quarter mile truck yeah, for sure. Even a touring truck intended for the highway and rural roads, but a prerunner goes through too much dust to trash a supercharger and honestly, it wouldn't take advantage out of it either cuz it is a DIY prerunner and not a trophy truck.

Awesome! They always say, upgrade Pads, Fluid and brake Lines before anything else.. Or like me, you replace the worn out rotors and upgrade what you can with what's in stock for your vehicle. Bigger diameter doesn't always help in braking distance (because of added centrifugal forces and unsprung weight) but in the repeatability of the distances. Larger rotors help in regards to the surface area for heat, which is the major factor in brake fade/failure when your running track days on stock size rotors. Now going from a single piston to a 2-10 piston caliper will help in the clamping forces spreading that out equally on the larger rotor. But there is the point of diminishing returns.

I just installed the same brakes on my Duramax H2 and I’m not happy with them. I’m chasing a pulsing issue like a warped rotor but they aren’t warped. Wilwood told me to sand the rotors and pads and re bed. I did that and still have the same problem. Ready to put the stock brake system back on.

Not a fact check here, but I was interested in that so I looked - honestly thought the grooves should flow rather than hook….and you’re right, from what I found.
Interestingly enough, similar to old corvettes like the C4 rims those “saw blades” grab the air in towards the brakes. You always see them backward, but I think it’s more the tire shops fault for the way they “x- pattern” or the rears strait forward/fronts cross to the rear…anyway.
      You’re a good man!

The FMVSS Brake Bedding Procedure is something in the realm of 300 45-0 stops before brakes are fully bedded. I'm an automotive test engineer and most of your companies like wilwood don't do the FMVSS testing because its far too expensive but having had wilwood brakes on a number of vehicles I have tested they just keep getting better until you boil the brake fluid or destroy the pad.
