Yes, it would be really cool if people from all around the world (or Europe) recommend or request some classics from their countries for you to react to and for the rest of us to discover. Every country has it's own music legends that we even never heard of. 🖤
One of the likely reasons Lara sang this song (and dozens of other Dalida songs) was because of her sympathetic feelings for Dalida, a sympathy that was felt at times to fanatical proportions. For a long time, before singing a Dalida song at different concerts, I witnessed many times that she read the very long letters she wrote for Dalida, and believe me, they were all different, letters that took minutes to read. She finally sang a Dalida song after reading one of these letters at a recent celebrity concert in front of a huge and sparkling Dalida graphic video that took up the entire backdrop. You can find the episode I mentioned in this big concert (there is also an English subtitled version) on RUclips, LARA FABIAN 10 Il venait d'avoir 18 ans HD Live TLFM or Lara Fabian - Il Venait D'avoir 18 Ans (english subtitle) I think it is an interesting detail that needs to be examined and critiqued, and it may also interest you.
Lara has a more powerful voice (although sound tech was way less evolved at the time of this recording), but Dalida has a charming Italian accent and personality.
I would be thrilled if you would react to Ginette Reno singing Quand on n'vous aime plus. She's a famous singer in Quebec (childhood idol of Celine Dion) and this song and performance are very touching. ruclips.net/video/klRszQXEvag/видео.html

You may be the first reactors to react to Dalida!
She was huge in France in the 70's.

One of the most heartbreaking things I ever saw was Dalida reacting to her own performance of the song that in essence killed her boyfriend.

She just died too young she was indeed ill and broken down
