Random notes: - The real EGI requires at least 8 minutes of steady level flight for the INFLT alignment to work. In the sim, it only takes about 5 minutes with no requirement for steady level flight either. - There seems to be no appreciable difference between the two methods in regards of the aligment's final precision. - The four numbers are in the format X.X Y.Y: the former is the time passed since the start of the alignment in minutes and tenths of minutes; the latter is the precision of the aligment, 0.8 being the best possible value. - It takes exactly 4 minutes for the GROUND alignment to complete. - Generally, an * in the CDU represents a currently active mode. - HARS is the legacy navigation system from the A-10A. It can still be used for basic navigation in case of EGI failure. - The Z markpoint more precisely shows the last point of predicted weapon impact, rather than the last point of weapon employement. - You can't delete markpoints in the simulated suite.
Snap view for the CDU should've been used. Watching this on my tablet I found quite difficult to make out what was on the CDU screen and also the keys were barely decipherable.
CNazario, I'm not sure how to upload them but I use the hotkey menu to assign each letter on the CDU to each letter on the keyboard. I then change other commands that used the letters to shift_commands or other keys on the keyboard. Thanks for watching!
It is a mod I use called Warhorse but I think it may be built into the game now. You can find them on the public downloads section of the 476th. Thanks for watching!
This is a mod created by 476th vFG - Oliver. It can be found in the public download section of the 476th Website. It is a fantastic mod! www.476vfightergroup.com/downloads.php?do=file&id=439
Hello, Question, I just purchased the warthog hotas. You say that DCS already has a setup for this hotas. Where can I get a copy. I only been setting the basic on my old saitek x52. I wonder if you can make a noob video on must have setting for fix wings fighter aircraft or recommend someone on you tube who good at DCS hotas setting. Thanks, I want to get serious and do this right.

I found it...thanks. It is a great mod. Looking forward to the rest of this series of CDU training. Learning the A10C is endless. It's amazing how much is modeled.
+Recon Stewart Hey Recon, your welcome. I know a lot about the A-10, so your always welcome to ask me anything you need and I'm happy to help. My Discord server is always open to you as well, let me know if you'd like an invite link. 😄
At ruclips.net/video/r3pYafdHfOU/видео.htmlm40s you say "this is LSK right 3". Isn't that LSK right 7? LSK Right 3 is the top one? wiki.hoggit.us/view/CDU I'm not trying to correct (be condesending towards) you, I'm trying to learn how to use and fly the A-10C :)
Not at all! I really appreciate the feedback! My understanding is that there are 10 lines on the CDU which are separated by left and right data. The four line select keys on the CDU both left and right, each align with lines 3, 5, 7, and 9 on the CDU screen. As I have learned it, the line select keys are corresponding with the above lines but they are referred to as LSK Left 1 - 4 and LSK Right 1 - 4 and you go from top to bottom with the top LSK key being #1. I could totally be wrong about that though.

Gliptal, thank you very much for the added info. It is very much appreciated!
+Gliptal "You can't delete markpoints in the simulated suite." are you saying you CAN delete markpoints in the real thing ?...if so how ?
+Richard Missin One of the now blank buttons on the CDU, can't remember exactly right now.
Wow, didn't realise the sim wasn't complete, any noise from ED if it's ever going to be added? or is it the usual "its on the list".
@@Gliptalful Restarting the engines will remove the mark points
I've had this module for so long now but never got to chance to spend time to learn it all. I appreciate you taking your time to do this tutorial.
Thanks for watching Krash!
Appreciate you taking the time to help us understand this more. Definitely will help me with grid and target location
Good start. I agree that to fully use the avionics of the WH, you have to understand most of the functions of the CDU. Waiting for the next one.
Stanley, Thank you sir! and thanks for watching!
Great job. Thank you for making these. I'm looking forward to the next video.
Tyler, thank you for your comments and for watching!

May I ask what cockpit textures you're using? They look fantastic!

For the A10C, it seems to just recognize all of the HOTAS settings however for the other planes you have to manually configure them.
Recon Stewart thanks, where do you get you manual setup information for the other plane.
I'm not following, the manual setup?
Recon Stewart thanks for the video,it was really helpful. Are there any more.
Anymore on the CDU?
Can you share the grease pencil mod or indicate where I can get it?

Its called the Control Display Unit, not the Computer Data Unit.
Will, thank you for the correction! I knew I would mess stuff up. I really appreciate it!
