Ash represents repentance and this has been mentioned in bible many time. Dust represents worthlessness

I like all his songs including this, God bless you Rosario, as I know the ash is made from burning last year's palm leaves of palm Sunday it represents dust, I think real dust to apply to forehead is not good, therefore ash wednesday.
Ash is used as manure, to clean items and to smoothen rough surface. So ash is a symbol.

Fore you comment Ashes were used in ancient times to express grief. When Tamar was raped by her half-brother, "she sprinkled ashes on her head, tore her robe, and with her face buried in her hands went away crying" (2 Samuel 13:19). The gesture was also used to express sorrow for sins and faults. Ashes could be symbolic of the old sinful self dying and returning to the dust. In Job 42:5-6, Job says to God: "I have heard of thee by the hearing of the ear: but now mine eye seeth thee. Wherefore I abhor myself, and repent in dust and ashes."
The prophet Jeremiah calls for repentance by saying: "O daughter of my people, gird on sackcloth, roll in the ashes" (Jer 6:26). The prophet Daniel recounted pleading to God: "I turned to the Lord God, pleading in earnest prayer, with fasting, sackcloth, and ashes" (Daniel 9:3). Just before the New Testament period, the rebels fighting for Jewish independence, the Maccabees, prepared for battle using ashes: "That day they fasted and wore sackcloth; they sprinkled ashes on their heads and tore their clothes" (1 Maccabees 3:47; see also 4:39).
Examples of the practice among Jews are found in several other books of the Bible, including Numbers 19:9, 19:17, Jonah 3:6, Book of Esther 4:1, and Hebrews 9:13. Jesus is quoted as speaking of the practice in Matthew 11:21 and Luke 10:13: "If the mighty works done in you had been done in Tyre and Sidon, they would have repented long ago (sitting) in sackcloth and ashes."

Thank you Brother Rosario for bringing at least some Christians back to Sunday school. Ash is the point of no return where if a sinner doesn’t repent goes to hell and the soul is burned for forever, it’s a reminder for all of us that we need to repent for our sins and ask for forgiveness for God who may grant us return to the least…. That is dust. For its written God took dust in his palms and breathed life into it and made man in his image. That’s how our bodies aid earth to be fertile and fruitful for the new …. A mystery for us but a continuous work of God …. For he loved his work so much that he became man dwelt among us and died for us and showed us how to reach him. Blessed are those who understand his ways…. And one of the blessed is you Rosario! Praise Jesus and God. Keep doing the good work and good is God.
May God keep you under His care always. Thanks for meaningful lyrics we get knowledge by your songs

Ashes is considered a sign of repentance and mourning and mortality. In the old testament when Jonah gave the msg from God, the people of Nineveh Jon 3:6 with its king repented in sackcloth and ashes…..
Again we read in the book of Job after he questioned God , he repented in dust and ashes Job 42:3-6
As ashes are applied on the forehead the following words are uttered
Repent and believe in the good news or you are dust and to dust you shall return.
Ashes is only a sign of repentance and mourning and mortality.
We cannot interpret the bible as we want 😢

We put ashes on Ash Wednesday, it is a sign of repentance, but not as you said. Read Daniel 9:3.
Than why quoting Genesis 3:19/ Ecclesiastes 3:20 Of Dust ? Check people in your life, many will have different opinions in your own people. Either they don't understand what they are doing or just blindly following .
Its not strange for me how church has been drifted from Bible..like wearing sackcloth and sprinkling ashes is pure sign of repentance...but today it became shortcut of Ash cross on forehead.
Same way Baptism is of mature adults and is of immersion according to Bible but it became short cut of sprinkling water on head and that too of infants.
And many examples are there...Holy Spirit convicts us.
I came across many people who doesn't believe Jesus Christ Sacrificial death is not sufficient for covering sins, this is blasphemy and I wonder what will save them, may be their purgatory which in not Biblical.
If lent starts with ash Wednesday of repentance, whom they repent? Who can forgive sins?
Bible is clear Jesus Christ says " Son of man has the power to forgive sins.
If they also believe in purgatory then their sins are not forgiven or signifies really Christ cannot give salvation thats why people wait for their sins to purge in fire.
What a blunder.
Just sharing Light not to hurt anyone. 🙏

Dont Repent with Ashes, we are in new Testament. Atleast listen to Peter whom u claim first Pope.
Acts 2:38 NKJV
[38] Then Peter said to them, “Repent, and let every one of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins; and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.

Ashes were used in ancient times to express grief.
Whatever may be your interpretation. I don't want to know that. I believe that we are sinners and need repentance and Jesus is our Saviour.
Praise the Lord Nice beautiful message bless you dear ❤

This song is composed by my very dear most precious brother Rosario de Benaulim (Ex Roman Catholic) aiming to confuse the Roman Catholics and to rebel against the Roman Catholic Church teaching. Very Sadly many of my Catholic brethren are complimenting him for this song without proper thinking on the subject. Some Catholics brethren ( I salute them) have already given Best Clarification with Bible quotations to Rosariobab here and I don't want to repeat it. Rosariobhava please be careful while composing such songs. Indeed you are our one of the Best composer/singer of the Konknni stage. Please and kindly use your talent wisely. I love you Rosariobhava!!!
Good reply to this so called believer in Christ Jesus. May our Lord Jesus have mercy on him for going against God's holy plan. ✝️✝️✝️
Mr Filip didn't expect cheap and communal comment from you.
Listen the whole song again and check is there anyword used as Roman catholic ? Is this message sound rebellious against the word of God if you are following? This song is made for audience its not pointed to you nor any religion. I love my catholic brothers and sisters more than you and an concern about them.. For your kind information my audience has reasoning mind after listening my messages they like, share and even put a positive comment.
Its not that audience who claps for the Lies as well as Truth at the same time. Since u watch tiatr, there were people promoted Divorced and people claped along with you, there were no forgiveness on repentance and said Get lost and people clapped.
If Bible says we are Light of the world than we must share That same Light in their Lives.
Here There are confused souls as well as reasoning people.. dont bring everyone in your mindset..my songs for those who reason out through word of God.
Check the link with scripture support to reason out

@@RDBenaulim My sweet Brother, Suppose you are talking about Saligao...and you say I never talked about Goa.....Where is Saligao ? In Goa right? Who are celebrating Ash Wednesday today? ROMAN CATHOLICS right? Your song is about Ash Wednesday should be called as Dust Wednesday right? Very much related to only Roman Catholic Church. Why you don't admit this? You released the song on the eve of Ash Wednesday Why???? Your many songs are attacking Roman Catholic faith. Please don't deny it... USING HINDI PLEASE.. .Samajnevalo ko Ishara kafi hei.... I am blessed to understand that, may be others not.
Bhava stick to the point...don't add other issues to this subject. You also receive many negatives comments...My comment was neither cheap nor communal but aimed to bring awareness of my Catholic faith to my brethren so that they may be not led astray. You follow what you feel right, I follow what I feel right...I don't interfere with your religious beliefs and please you don't interfere with my religious beliefs( Roman Catholics). I still love you. Tum tuje vatten voch ani hanv mhoje vatten vetam. Mog asum.
@@filipedias747Mr Filip Dias dont act like uneducated like few others who don't even know what they are believing and where it came from. As I said some are unwanted Believer haters come n comment negative without having reasoning mind and my commentsection is always open. Like I said sothakui talleo martat ani fottikui talleo martat.
You have hatred towards Believers and make it communal. If you don't have knowledge who else believes or celebrate Ash Wednesday than atleast Google n find out or I will post you.
Ash Wednesday is observed by Catholics, Lutherans, Moravians, Anglicans, as well as by some churches in the Reformed, (including certain Congregationalist, Continental Reformed, and Presbyterian churches), Methodist and Nazarene traditions.
Its not your falt , its the poison been put in the minds of people about Believers.
We are Light of the world and sharing the same light to my audience. This song is not about you nor specifically about your religion.
You are creating communal disharmony by such comment, and
Rosario kindly analyse and have a wide angle on Ash Wednesday .
I have earlier commented buy giving
Biblical quote on Book of Genesis & Job.
Introspect on humanity and lifestyle expected by God from us. You understand that well.
Everyone needs to reconcile to obtain grace from God
Human beings are mortals, therefore
Ash Wednesday is reminder to repent and get changed.
