Please Read this Ashes were used in ancient times to express grief. When Tamar was raped by her half-brother, "she sprinkled ashes on her head, tore her robe, and with her face buried in her hands went away crying" (2 Samuel 13:19). The gesture was also used to express sorrow for sins and faults. Ashes could be symbolic of the old sinful self dying and returning to the dust. In Job 42:5-6, Job says to God: "I have heard of thee by the hearing of the ear: but now mine eye seeth thee. Wherefore I abhor myself, and repent in dust and ashes." The prophet Jeremiah calls for repentance by saying: "O daughter of my people, gird on sackcloth, roll in the ashes" (Jer 6:26). The prophet Daniel recounted pleading to God: "I turned to the Lord God, pleading in earnest prayer, with fasting, sackcloth, and ashes" (Daniel 9:3). Just before the New Testament period, the rebels fighting for Jewish independence, the Maccabees, prepared for battle using ashes: "That day they fasted and wore sackcloth; they sprinkled ashes on their heads and tore their clothes" (1 Maccabees 3:47; see also 4:39). Examples of the practice among Jews are found in several other books of the Bible, including Numbers 19:9, 19:17, Jonah 3:6, Book of Esther 4:1, and Hebrews 9:13. Jesus is quoted as speaking of the practice in Matthew 11:21 and Luke 10:13: "If the mighty works done in you had been done in Tyre and Sidon, they would have repented long ago (sitting) in sackcloth and ashes."

Thank you Brother Rosario for bringing at least some Christians back to Sunday school. Ash is the point of no return where if a sinner doesn’t repent goes to hell and the soul is burned for forever, it’s a reminder for all of us that we need to repent for our sins and ask for forgiveness for God who may grant us return to the least…. That is dust. For its written God took dust in his palms and breathed life into it and made man in his image. That’s how our bodies aid earth to be fertile and fruitful for the new …. A mystery for us but a continuous work of God …. For he loved his work so much that he became man dwelt among us and died for us and showed us how to reach him. Blessed are those who understand his ways…. And one of the blessed is you Rosario! Praise Jesus and God. Keep doing the good work and good is God.

This song is composed by my very dear most precious brother Rosario de Benaulim (Ex Roman Catholic) aiming to confuse the Roman Catholics and to rebel against the Roman Catholic Church teaching. Very Sadly many of my Catholic brethren are complimenting him for this song without proper thinking on the subject. Some Catholics brethren ( I salute them) have already given Best Clarification with Bible quotations to Rosariobab here and I don't want to repeat it. Rosariobhava please be careful while composing such songs. Indeed you are our one of the Best composer/singer of the Konknni stage. Please and kindly use your talent wisely. I love you Rosariobhava!!!
Mr Filip didn't expect cheap and communal comment from you. Listen the whole song again and check is there anyword used as Roman catholic ? Is this message sound rebellious against the word of God if you are following? This song is made for audience its not pointed to you nor any religion. I love my catholic brothers and sisters more than you and an concern about them.. For your kind information my audience has reasoning mind after listening my messages they like, share and even put a positive comment. Its not that audience who claps for the Lies as well as Truth at the same time. Since u watch tiatr, there were people promoted Divorced and people claped along with you, there were no forgiveness on repentance and said Get lost and people clapped. If Bible says we are Light of the world than we must share That same Light in their Lives. Ashes is considered a sign of repentance and mourning and mortality. In the old testament when Jonah gave the msg from God, the people of Nineveh Jon 3:6 with its king repented in sackcloth and ashes….. Again we read in the book of Job after he questioned God , he repented in dust and ashes Job 42:3-6 As ashes are applied on the forehead the following words are uttered Repent and believe in the good news or you are dust and to dust you shall return. Ashes is only a sign of repentance and mourning and mortality. We cannot interpret the bible as we want 😢

Convincing reminder of the Life we should live. Well composed / sung

Good reply to this so called believer in Christ Jesus. May our Lord Jesus have mercy on him for going against God's holy plan. ✝️✝️✝️
Here There are confused souls as well as reasoning people.. dont bring everyone in your mindset..my songs for those who reason out through word of God.

Ashes is considered a sign of repentance and mourning and mortality. In the old testament when Jonah gave the msg from God, the people of Nineveh Jon 3:6 with its king repented in sackcloth and ashes…..
Again we read in the book of Job after he questioned God , he repented in dust and ashes Job 42:3-6
As ashes are applied on the forehead the following words are uttered
Repent and believe in the good news or you are dust and to dust you shall return.
Ashes is only a sign of repentance and mourning and mortality.
