I have this exact Fume Extractor with my WeCreat. It works OK to filter out most of the harmful particulates but I still open a window when cutting because the smell is definitely still there. There is a very serious design flaw, I think. When you look at the unit you'll notice that the fume hose connects directly straight onto the top of the unit where right underneath is the first of the filters. How else would you connect it, you say? Well -- the way it's currently designed all the fume flows directly into a single spot on the filter where only about 20% of the filter's surface area is being used! When you take off the lid, there's a dark circle underneath where it has trapped all the participates but the rest of the filter is still lily white! So you're only using about 20% of the filter's surface capacity! I would have like them to either: A. Connect the hose offset to one side to that you can eventually rotate the filter and use the other side - or B. I think a better design is to taper the connection, like a pyramid, so that the air can flow over the *entire* filter surface area. I think when I get my 3D printer, I will try to come up with something.
I wonder if that would work for cigarette/weed etc. smoke in those apartments owned by pesky landlords that won't allow to you live free in your rented space?
After testing the unit for some time my review would currently be that it's great for things like acrylics and other light duty things but that I wouldn't recommend it for a lot of heavy leather use. I'm cutting thick thick hides a lot and it just gets pretty used up fast.
Hey there, after using this machine for a while I think it's fine for hobbyists but if you're doing a lot of cutting that involves leather, it may be to much for it.

I wouldn't trust it for no smell. Might help a bit, but they'd probably figure it out.
I still lack the information if you are satisfied with the filtration when doing leather. It’s all a bit vague

@ Thank you, that helps me a lot. I’m in search for a good one. Merry Christmas !
Would this be better than the xtool or gweike cloud air purifier?

Total waste of money! I’ve already gone through 3 filters and it hasn’t even been a month! Don’t waste you money on this giant tuna can!
