    Fiat have similar product 20 years ago called variator...but after use this gadget fiat lose 90% buyers. make simply engines, with this way dacia ends. variator lifetime was guaranted for life engine but realy must replaced every 100.000km with timming beld and others. Best economy is make strong engine optimalised to low rpm- must have low rpm gearbor last shift ratio like 2000rpm on 110km/h for petrol or 2000rpm for 160km/g for diesel. I have old opel ascona 2.0L 96kW 1987 and I make fuel comsumtion about 6.5L-95km/h because have 2100rpm on 5th gear, yeah car was letargic but is very funny on 3rd gear goes 150km/h and pushing to seat. After I buy fiat mare 2001. I have lower displacement 1.8 16V 85kW..but gearbor was 100km/h - 3000rpm. Fuel comsumtion was 8.5L at 95km/h...no way to bad gatgeds. make unstable work and risk. Try simply and quality solid turbocharger with wastegate (no VNT)and long gearbox. turbocharger must have quality manifold not like VW 1.8T AGU where cracking from KKK, Garret will beter never crack because add litle 0.5% titanium alloy for little flexible steel. please dont use VNT. VNT killing reputation of turbo quality cost few 1-2% of better spool up. but where is lot of damaged

      Все там нормально с двигателем....и у Фиата 2 цилиндровые вполне живут
