“Mood Lifters - A Tribute to Rush” is a Southern California Rush Tribute Band formed in 2021. The band’s focus is on the faithful recreation and performance of songs from all eras of Rush’s career, “from first to last.” Every song is on the table, and the band performs the classics and deep cuts with tremendous energy and care.
Mood Lifters are:
Rocky Kuner - vocals;
Isamu Kakitani - bass guitar, keyboards, pedals;
Ben King -- guitar;
Mat Miranda -- drums & percussion.
Each of the Mood Lifters is a lifelong fan of Rush and has played Rush’s music in other Rush tribute bands or otherwise.
I like that bass player he stands there and doesn't move and I love that
Not only is the band spot on, Rocky's vocals are mesmerizing.
Unmistakingly the vocals of Rocky
We are witnessing greatness here
Thank you!
@@MoodLiftersRushTribute and we want more :)
@@marcioarquiteto Thanks - more will be coming!
Her performances always feel natural.
No mixed feelings!
This GeddyGirl is amazing.
And she kinda looks like him a little too right? I dont mean that in a bad way. I mean shes little like he is. The dark brown long hair like he had. But that doesnt matter. Shes able to hit those tough notes young geddy could. He hasnt been able to sing like this in decades. Shes awesome. 70s rush is TOUGH to sing. Especially with power the way he did. No falsetto. Band is very solid too.
Great tribute
This band is awesome, but the guitarist is out of this world. So freakin good 🤘🏽
Thanks! (From Ben).
Thank you for coming to Australia in August 2024. I'll be there at the Sydney show!
Thank YOU! We can't wait to be there! Spread the word to your Rush friends - the setlist is loaded!
One of the two best Rush cover bands in the country right now IMO. You guys are TIGHT! Excellent musicianship by everyone.
Best being YYNOT !!! Rocky is an awesome singer !!Miss her in YYNOT !!!!
I really, really hope that your two best include the Rush Tribute Project: www.youtube.com/@TheRushTributeProject
@@mitchdaks6363 Lotus Land is good too
You guys you are great I love this band
Great work. What's cool is I was alive as each of these songs came out in real time. :) It's almost like that again with this video.
ROCKERS ALL!!! Lifted my mood WAAAAYYYY UP 🔝 🙏🙏❤️🙏🙏
Hope you all realize how special Rocky is…
We do! Happy that you do too!
@@MoodLiftersRushTribute Don't let her go, She the best vocalist for doing Rush and may I say Originals!!
Rocky is the best female rush tribute singer.
New world men and lotus land singers are best
Rocky!
entire show please!
Watching this I guess you guys just skip the intro on went to the good stuff I like her ponytail you guys did a great job I'll tell you that thank you
Incredible accuracy on all of these Rush classics guys! In addition to the amazing musicianship of the guys, Anthem & Bastille Day vocals were a highlight for me!!!
All i can say . Thhankk u Rocky and the MOOD LIFTERS!
Spot on!! You guys are perfect together, seamless!! Fell in love with Rocky the minute I heard her belt out No One At The Bridge, so much passion and spirit!!
Wow, Great musicians and have been a fan of Rocky's voice for years
Rocky The Best
Holy crap! As a lifelong Rush fan, fellow musician (keyboard player/vocals!), you guys ROCK! And you all look like you’re freaking lovin’ it!
Rocky is just fantastic, soft and gentle when need be, and all-out Geddy shredding the old songs (Anthem, Bastille Day, awesome!)
The whole band is awesome, wish you all were in the Midwest sometime and I’d drive to see you!

Night Moves The Ultimate Bob Seger Tribute
Being Canadian and a looooong time Rush fan (first seen them live in 1986) I can honestly say this is a great tribute. You are all very, very talented. Thank you very much for this ❤ long live the professor. May he rest in peace.
You are all supurb. So tight. Vocals sound incredible
So glad i came upon a Mood Lifters video. WOW, was I surprised who was singing and dang good you all were. Time to tour with her, come to Austin Texas!!!
Thanks Bryan! We don't have specific plans to tour at the moment, but we are producing a live full-show video from our performance at The Whisky a-Go-Go in March 2023, so keep an eye on our socials for an announcement on that!
Your playing is top notch and the band is very tight. I been looking over your videos tonight and very impressed with your setlists! Do you have originals ?
@@bryansonnet2454 Thanks Bryan! All of our members have worked on other projects, but we do not do originals as Mood Lifters. If we were to collaborate on originals down the road, we would probably do it under a different label.
As your band name says.. MOOD LIFTERS! Absolutely Fantastic!! The mix is unbelievable! And some really great shots on video too! But most importantly , BAND PERFORMANCE! Really gelled!
It really felt like being at a Rush concert.. Rocky WAS Geddy! And not only that, she was so personable , good interaction with Ben( who really had some great guitar licks going) and getting the crowd involved. Isamu did his part of Geddy on instruments .
It's just too bad you couldn't see Mat
Sometimes that happens being in the back 😂 Hopefully you can make it out to a future show to have a better view of me 😁
@@DrummerMatMan I live in N. E. MN , and the only way I will ever see you live is if you come to Duluth at the headwaters of lake Superior. That's 70 miles south of me. Just think, you wouldn't be far from Canada so if you could book a tour of the Great White North as Geddy sang in the song Take Off with Doug and Bob MacKenzie. LOL!
How to listen to Rush without having to hear Geddy Lee's voice, hehehehe. Great work! Now we have reached perfection! Thanks!
Superb. I would like to see Mood Lifters in Poland.
AWESOME !
🤘🤘🔥🔥🔥🔥
Damn Rocky you channel Geddy’s voice so well it’s almost unbelievable! Sounds amazing!! Thanks for sharing!👍
Rocky Rocky Rocky!! Great band!!
Great performance! You guys are getting even better.
My hat is off to Isamu for nailing Geddy's bass lines in YYZ. And he looks like he's having fun doing it.
I wish you guys would come to Michigan, or somewhere close.
Abhhhhh god brilliant.. I love you.. I need more.xx
WOO YEAH! Fantastic recording with great separation and mix levels!
What??? Big Money? Marathon? Jacobs Ladder? Awesome montage! Tone magnificent! Rocky is on 🔥!
Just saw you guys are playing at the Whisky 2/27. See you there!
Not 2/27. We play on Fri 3/3 at Whisky.
Yes! See you there - on March 3!
I'm sooooo kicking myself that I didn't go to this show in OB last month!! PLEASE return to Navajo Live in La Mesa in 2023!!
Bravo, Rocky and the lads!!
EVERYBODY NEED A:
MOOD LIFTER!!
Not on the schedule at the moment, but it could happen!
I have to get my weekly dose of Mood Lifters!
Wow....
Rocky keeps getting better and better!!
music is on point!!!!! now more lights and lasers :0)
I have never heard one single man do Geddy justice, and i mean zero offense by that. It's just that Geddy's voice is so unique that those guys that try to emulate it usually butcher it. I've always found that women lead singers in Rush tribute bands are much easier to listen to. And this one here is one of the best I've ever heard.
im gonna see you guys feb 18! all the way from fresno
Wow - thanks Mike! Looking forward to it ... long afternoon of Rush greats coming!
AMAZING!!!!
Amazing!!🤘
awesome
Still bummin’ I couldn’t make it down there for this! Looks like you killed it again. Loving the power and grit on Bastille Day Rocky! And you guys nailed Jacob’s Ladder, which is so ridiculously complicated. Hope to see you at the next one!
Hope so too! Thanks!
I love this.
Wonderful performance! And I got alot more of it comin' to you as well! 😉🤘
I really dig what you all do in the name of Mood and Rush, Happy New Year All.
Thanks - Happy New Year to you too, Jon!
Ben is a mix of Lifeson and Jimmy Page. Love it!
Love 'em both!
You sound amazing!!
Damn, you guys are phenomenal!
Like all the rest of your videos, I certainly enjoyed this. Too bad I’m so far away or I would definitely come and see you. Hey! Someday I will post without begging you to cover Necromancer. 😂
bravo!
04:16 Truth!
AS much as I love this, I wish the guitarist would stop rushing. Literally not figuratively, Rocky still gives me chills.
Cool A F!
Looks like it was a fun gig 🙂
Most fun we've had yet!
@@MoodLiftersRushTribute glad to hear it! Stoked you guys all found each other!
Hope the gigs keep coming, and you folks have a great new year! 🤙☮️🤘
@@g-pa-Rok-n-Tok Thanks! And you as well!
I have seen many many RUSH tribute bands and many are good, but try too hard to "pretend" to be rush instead of just being themselves and playing rush music. This tribute band is the REAL DEAL... they are themselves, their playing is spot on and flawless and Rocky is a fabulous singer.. her voice fits. btw- post Marathon with Rocky singing in its entirety!
Thanks! And Marathon is included in an upcoming "full show" video, so stay tuned!
Alex and Neil don't really need to perform anywhere there are so many on spot Rush cover bands and this is one of the best. Thank you for sharing with me your love for RUSH FOREVER ✌🙏❤❤❤ Singer is on point .Hard to tell its not Gedds. Close your eyes and see if you can tell. Betcha not.
Besides getttys voice is done. Last 2 tours he was done
Come to Niagara and play for us?
If you guys ever come to London i will definitely come and see you. YYNOT made a big mistake letting Rocky go
London would be great! Maybe someday! Thanks Danny.
Very good....why not 21:12 the video lenght? hahahaha
Good point -- opportunity missed!
Do you have merch available?
We are selling the t-shirt at the live show venue. But, online shopping site will be ready shortly.
Michael, we now have t-shirts available for order on our website - www.moodliftersrushtribute.com. More items coming down the line!
I could give you a list of obscure Rush songs to play that even the boys hesitated to play: Available Light, Vapour Trails, Half The World, etc.
All great! We have played Vapor Trails (great doubleneck song), and one of the others sits on a future setlist, but we're not saying which one!
Watching this is like having Elton John sing the whole Alanis Morrisette Jagged little Pill album live. Just isn't right.
That's too bad, because we'd tune in for that!
To me, it's like Geddy has this adorable daughter
Lots of Power Windows
Three hour show demands at least two PW tunes!
@@MoodLiftersRushTribute YES and with Ben's arsenal of guitars and Al's tone and Isamu on the Fender Jazz the tone is tops!
