In the years they advanced, they always hosted (or played neutrally in SB XLI). They backed in this year as a wild card and went to New Orleans. In 2011, they were a shoe-in to make it as the NFC's top wild card. GB was undefeated and the Bears were 7-3. Winners of 5 straight and playing great with an easy upcoming schedule. 1:09:16 someone already commented about this is where Brent Jones made the comment about messing with our ring. You don't mess with the person that got you where you are. So if someone cheap shots your quarterback, you go kick his ass no matter what. If Shaun Gayle hurt Young at that play and Young couldn't play or his performance was reduced to that hit then guess who's fault that would have been. So again as a teammate you automatically are going to fight that player who is again messing with your golden goose.
I remember 16-year-old me not being mad at all when Shaun Gayle floored Young and my dad, a Browns fan with no skin in the game, immediately saying Gayle should be thrown out. He was right. It was just a totally frustrating day as a Bears fan. Now, I feel much differently watching this.
Man, just seeing how many hard hits they gave QBs back in the day, I know Tom Brady would've never have survived previous eras, let alone everyone demanding that he's the GOAT.
1:09:19 and this is partly why this team won it all .. teams that stick together like this are usually very dangerous and formidable.. reminds me the steelers when I forgot his name threw bradshaw to the ground and a steeler came over and confronted the guy .. exact same scenario as this except the steeler play wasn't a td play though
Spellman put a HIT on Young 57:04-50 i felt that one... no roughing the passer... FREE SHOT Id love it if real hitting came back to the NFL 58:10 perfect CALL A TIME OUT........... hahaha 1:09:07 Young TD....... takes cheap shot.. spikes the ball at the defender.. Rice comes in along with the whole team
Unarguably the 1994 49ers were the most talented team ever assembled. What team had as many future HOF and pro bowl players? Why Watters and Sanders left is beyond me. That team wins 3 or 4 Super Bowls in a row easy.
97 49ers were loaded too, (Kevin Greene, Rod Woodson) but team got forgotten cos lost to the packers and the playoffs. It was the year Rice got injured and TO started to emerge. However, the 94 team was bit better thansk to Watters. HIs absense was never replaced.
49ers would not address that small weak offensive line. The reason they lost all the rest of their big games after 94. Stronger faster bigger dlineman were terrorizing young.
That's why you as a teammate have to go and kick the guy's ass because if Young got hurt and couldn't play against the Cowboys guess who would be blamed for that. So you as the teammate do whatever is necessary to protect your asset especially your quarterback.
Steve Young, The all time Great Quarterbacks need to be judged on what they ACTUALLY do on the field, consistently, one drive at a time, one game at a time. Just like every other position. Nobody says "Adrian Peterson? He's no (2 ring) LeGarrett Blount. He's not even (2 ring) Brandon Jacobs." Drew Brees might never win another title, and that has nothing to do with his greatness.
Prime Young was like a build your own character in a video game with all stats set at maximum. Arm strength, supreme accuracy, best footwork I've ever seen, speed. Athleticism, elusiveness, leadership, iron clad will to win. No QB in history ever had as many tools in their toolbox as Steve Young. There's a lot of reasons he didn't win more championships that have nothing to do with how good he was.
Fun fact: The video game box art for NFL Quarterback Club 96 is from this game. It’s Steve Young throwing a pass over two pass-rushing Bears players

They completely shut the bears down Walsh was some trash he laid a goose 🦆 🥚 egg that day karmer should've played earlier he had the stronger arm and didn't seem phased when he was playing in the 4th Quarter but it was to late that bears Head coach lost this game for his team they played tough at first but got the fight knocked out of them by Steve Young after that the bears offense was a shell there defense got tired and gave up alot of yards lmao looked like pee wee football team out there
Crappy qb play, shitty ocs, lack of talent on offense...dinosaur offenses in da 90s even with Jim Harbaugh
as a 49er fan....I do believe anything can happen in the playoffs, what ever u done in the regular season. gets tossed out the window. and u should never ever your take other team lighty and always play hard no matter what.....bt in this game......the 49ers won this game before the game got started...b/c i believe steve young needed to prove that can help a team win a super bowl and the rest of the players fed off of that...
I remember this game, that season was so much fun. Does anyone happen to have the 1992 game against the Lions, Montana's last game in a 49ers uniform. I'd love to watch that second half again (I had a copy but it go corrupted and I can't find it again)..
I just saw that game on youtube
GO CHICAGO BEARS 1994 the year I was born 💙🧡💙🧡💙🧡
109:42 William Floyd tosses Spellman. Hilarious. 😆
Hey there. You got Saints vs cowboys 2006?
57:07 This hit would get Spellman arrested in today’s NFL
Same crew on Fox 30 years later
How about the Fox halftime show crew still largely intact after 27 years !!
Man, just seeing how many hard hits they gave QBs back in the day, I know Tom Brady would've never have survived previous eras, let alone everyone demanding that he's the GOAT.
Tom brady played in 2001... and you could still destroy qbs back then
The biggest cheater ever
Uploading videos of NFL on FOX Football Games can bring back my memories if you have them.
1:04:43 disastrous .. the one time you absolutely cannot drop the ball
53:54 Steve Young and Coach Kubiak!
True feel good tv right here, no rose tinted glasses needed.
This game is more one -sided than I recall. The Bears capitulated mid-way through the 3rd period.
Only weakness was doug Brien... with his long of 48
Can u upload Bears and Broncos 2011
Young was on a mission from God!
Can you please upload 49ers-vs-Packers, Week 4 2015?
202:13 ken over there looking like blackula
Jerry Rice wanted all the smoke!!!
The Bears had some hope early after that Brent Jones turnover.
Spellman put a HIT on Young 57:04-50 i felt that one... no roughing the passer... FREE SHOT
Id love it if real hitting came back to the NFL 58:10 perfect
CALL A TIME OUT........... hahaha
1:09:07 Young TD....... takes cheap shot.. spikes the ball at the defender.. Rice comes in along with the whole team
Wish the NFL was still like this…….that Brent Jones fumble would be an incomplete pass today.
Picachu P Niners got cheap with Watters and it cost them dearly.
Definitely the 94 49ers were dope best team I ever seen assembled
49ers would not address that small weak offensive line. The reason they lost all the rest of their big games after 94. Stronger faster bigger dlineman were terrorizing young.
Like 2002 Red Wings
Should have been Joe's Superbowl
Man, they really didn't protect QBs back then
Memorable 1:09:16 "that guy is messing with our super bowl ring" - Brent Jones
That was a cheap shot!
That's why you as a teammate have to go and kick the guy's ass because if Young got hurt and couldn't play against the Cowboys guess who would be blamed for that. So you as the teammate do whatever is necessary to protect your asset especially your quarterback.
@VegTheory LOL at sliding. It was a late hit. A slide wouldn't have done anything.
William Bar None Floyd I was pissed when he went to Carolina
57:06 The game was very different.
Can you please upload the Browns Ravens 2003 week 2 game to your BitChute channel
Steve Young just took too many hits that could be avoided
That wasn’t a good plan whinny we lost 44-15
Where was thoght
Bears led this game 3-0. How misleading
Would not have mattered. 49ers had too many weapons.
@VegTheory facts. They use to beat teams by over 40 points every week.
they still had a lead, which is something DAL and SD could not say
57:09 splat
Hey Bart did u see my comment the other day about uploading Bears and Broncos 2011
They were all kinda jumping ahead, they all knew the Cowboys were going to win the next day, and the Cowboys 49ers III would occur
So was Matt Millen a worse broadcaster or GM?
Lmao I think he has a lot of savvy as a broadcaster
He was a disaster as GM !!! Lol
He was a ripoff of John Madden
