You can build backlinks to your site for SEO traffic. Find some good games and share on social media. Make youtube videos on the good games and link to site. There are lots of ways to drive traffic.
is it better to put the games on your site manually just incase you dont want to use their plugin anymore, because if you dont use it dont the games dissappear from your site?
I believe the plugin needs to be activated for the site to continue working. You can stop all of the plugin automated game postings, and just post your own games manually if you like.
I built it for fun. And yes, as long as you have content, you're going to get traffic for sure. I haven't touched my site, no backlinks, etc..and it's getting new game plays daily.

Good question. This works on shared hosting. since you don't have to download game files to your server.
When using the cron technology to fetch and publish games, a problem appears and the same game is downloaded more than once
I'm not sure about this bug. Maybe switch to cpanel cron or wp cron and see if works. Otherwise contact the developer to troubleshoot this bug.
