Before Terrifier, there was Terrifier. That is, a short, by Damien Leone starring Art the Clown. Of course, you can't release a 90 minute short, that's a whole dang movie. Thus, we have a HORROR ANTHOLOGY today! All stories by Damien Leone, and all involving Art the Clown! ...depending on how loosely you define that.

I liked how the camera changed to the grindhouse effect when the sitter came up the stairs and saw Art standing there.
Every fucking time Art just whips out a gun in one of these movies, I absolutely love it because it just catches me off guard every time. I mean, so many times you hear people question why the villain doesn't just pull out a gun, and now we finally get an example of that.

Always found it funny how the baby sitter premise directly mirrored Halloween 1978. Young Woman baby sitting a young boy and girl on hall night. Carving Pumpkins and watching Classic Horror movies in black & white...hmm lol

I wonder, if that second "movie" went on longer would Art the Clown have somehow come out of the painting to kill the alien, and then when the woman thinks she is finally safe she too would meet her end?
It’s like having a good buddy tell you about a movie I could hardly sit through. Thanks for doing the hard work. I’ve tried watching this so many times and never can.
Decker is great but Art the Clown is God awful and not scary at all!

At first, his humor came off to me that he was being douchey and not very respecting of this movie despite how great it is but as I read this comment, I realize he’s doing everyone else a favor here, even if I myself don’t have a problem with the movie

The ending scene where art was coming towards us in the movie was so scary.
Just a great scare and a great way to interact with the viewers!
i want a crossover with art facing off against the firefly family from house of a thousand corpses or the odets cannibal mutant mountain men from wrong turn. . would be interesting to see how he'd react to characters similar to himself.

On the audio commentary for the movie Damien Leone said when. Talking about the 2nd story he always wanted to make a movie about a alien so that explains that. Then the needed some way of having Art in it so he came up with the idea of her husband painting Arts face. Without knowing it as he said something like basically the painting of Art sealed her fate.
I like the green screen effect you got going. It's a nice touch, and a refreshing change from the classic (or cliché) couch.
I am gonna be honest I get excited every single time I see that you have uploaded a new video. It always puts a smile on my face my guy such good content!

I looked up what you were talking about. Turns out this movie is here on youtube. I can understand why you couldn't show it.
I actually don't mind that the alien film has nothing to do with Art the clown except for the painting at the end. My theory is that Art or some sinister entity made these films to scare whoever watches them before Art attacks them.

Returning to this review after (holy shit 2yrs?!) 2yrs and man, i rewatches this film at work because Tubi has them all listed and i must say, Art has become my #1 horror villain without fail

As for the video, I have quite the fascination for All Hallow's Eve and Terrifier. It's a fun series of unsettling stories that have some impressive gore (esp the full-length Terrifier movie). They're not groundbreaking but I find them quite entertaining
This clown has always reminded me of a dehydrated Gary Busey.
Okay, so. A clown shoots a guy. And at first you're like, 'what's clowny about that?' but then the victim is looking at little red streamers coming out of their chest, which read "Blood", as a twist on the classic 'Bang' flag coming out of the gun. Maybe they shoot confetti out the exit wound.
Another amazing video, well worth the wait. Always fun watching your reviews and don't sweat the delays. Bring on the late match of the clowns. Think the sound and video quality are getting better too. So try not to stress.

Our worst enemy had to be the clowns. Colorful make up, big red noses, floppy shoes, just terrifying. Hundreds of them would just pile out of a Volkswagon. We'd fight them off but...they'd just keep sending them in. We lost a lot of good men to pies in the face. Sometimes at night...I could still hear it. I could still hear those horrible honks.

I seen this a while back & finally a horror which doesn't give up the syrupy it was a dream type ending & instead delivers some decent horror.

I found out about this movie after recently watching Terrifier 1 & 2, not sure why they bothered with the Alien short but overall not to shabby and now I understand why people were asking for full movies based on Art the clown.

I watched this before watching your review, this show gives me ideas on things to look up and watch and then watch your review to see how your view stacks up to my own experience. personally I didn't find this anthology varied. It was basically the same premise done four times. Woman is more or less alone at night, is terrorized and brutalized by male assailant she can't escape from in an enclosed space. The multiple victims didn't add much to the first story, third, or the framing device given how minimally they impacted the events other than to up the body count.
Yeah, obviously this and terrifier are meant to be disturbing and off-putting, but for me it gets kind of tired seeing the women all be focused on with the brutal torture while the few men are mostly killed offscreen or relatively quickly.
Honestly, I was kind of disappointed with this movie.
Art captures a woman in the first story and then just disappears, not even to show up with the rest of the cultists. So is he one, too, or just a contractor?
In the second story, the woman dropped her flashlight, dropped her weapon, and even tripped. But then she finds out she can mess with the alien by pulling out a tube from its mask and uses that to run to the front door to make it look like she left; why not just leave? Then her phone rings and she suddenly can’t get it out of her pocket (why do people forget to silence their phones in these stories?) and the alien grabs her, but she never tries the hose again. I also knew the face would be Art, but thought it might scare the alien, but nope.
Third story, leaving aside anything else, the woman stabs Art twice but doesn’t finish the job.
And in the over arching story of the babysitter, they repeatedly tease the closet and do nothing with it and the babysitter keeps watching the movie despite finding it disturbing and distasteful, but the movie never implies she’s compelled to do so.
It feels like the movie just needed a little more polishing.
