-Answer: Swathi Tirunal was the ruler of the Kingdom of Travancore. He was proclaimed king before he was born. The young prince, at age four months, was entrusted to the East India Company for care.
Swati Tirunal's foster mother/aunt, who was well-versed in music, and his father, a Sanskrit scholar, took special care of his education. He started learning Malayalam and Sanskrit at the age of six and English at age seven.
What is Rupaka tala?
-Rupaka Thalam is a Thalam with a laghu after the dhrutam. The laghu's length depends on the Jati of the Talam.
