"I well remember that those very plumes, Those weeds, and the high spear-grass on that wall, By mist and silent rain-drops silvered o’er, As once I passed did to my heart convey So still an image of tranquillity, So calm and still, and looked so beautiful Amid the uneasy thoughts which filled my mind, That what we feel of sorrow and despair From ruin and from change, and all the grief The passing shews of being leave behind, Appeared an idle dream that could not live Where meditation was. I turned away And walked along my road in happiness." (Wordsworth, final lines of 'Margaret, Or The Ruined Cottage'.) Your beautiful film brought those lines to mind.
"Hiking autumn in scotland " and now this. You're spoiling us. I really enjoyed the shot from the summit - to be able to see Ardnamurchan off in the distance was a thrill for me. It is a place that holds special memories for me.
Thanks Brian. Yes, I've worked for many years as a wildlife cameraman, filming for various BBC Natural History Unit programmes. Thanks for watching. More hiking films to come and at some point I hope to do something with my wildlife channel which is sitting there gathering dust!

It's certainly a beautiful part of the world, especially on a day like that one.
I love trying to work out exactly where you are from the odd clues in the video. Another scenic masterpiece. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks. It's a lovely little hill and the cave makes it particularly interesting.
Another gorgeous film, Jim.

@@Jim_Manthorpe-hiking yes it was blatantly obvious 😂 looking forward to seeing your wildlife stuff if you manage to get around to it Jim 👍
Thanks Brian. 👍
wow this is incredible... 4:09 what lens did you use for this scene? so peaceful
Thank you. That was a 16mm lens. I use my wide lens a lot but I also have a 105mm and occasionally I use a 100-400 if it's a short hike (it's heavy!)
@@Jim_Manthorpe-hiking yeah right😂 thank you for reply! so excited to watch your next video
