- After departing Dyess Air Force Base in Abilene, TX, these two Lancers flew a 17 hour mission before recovering back into RAF Fairford in Gloucestershire, England. This marks the start of the first Bomber Task Force deployment for RAF Fairford of 2023. It's great to welcome them back to England!
The two jets are SPICY21 86-105 and SPICY22 86-103 from the 9th Expeditionary Bomb Squadron. The jets recovered straight after the daily U-2 mission cleared the runway, in fact you can still hear the U-2 taxying as the Bones run into the overhead 😎
U.S. Air Forces in Europe and Air Forces Africa posted on the Facebook
POSTURE | The Bones are Back!
Dyess Air Force Base B-1B Lancer strategic bombers are back in U.S. European Command (EUCOM) for #BomberTaskForce!
Two Texas-based supersonic bombers from United States Strategic Command’s 9th Expeditionary Bomb Squadron entered the theater today by first integrating with NATO Allies and Partners in the Baltic Sea region!
With two more inbound this week, aircraft enthusiasts from across Europe should keep their eyes on the sky near RAF Fairford Thursday afternoon to catch the next two!

Terrific and marvellous arrivals on the pair of B-1B Lancer 🤩😎
Cheers Douglas! I hope you are well my friend 👍
@@UKAviationMovies thanks very much bro and all is good and much welcome 😊😎
Rockwell yey Welcome to the U.K !
Awesome to see two bones in arrival with this perspective! Fantastic captures! 💪🏻💪🏻💪🏻
Cheers Mike 👍
They are getting on a bit in years, but I think they're lovely aeroplanes. May seem odd for some to read, but for those that play VTOL VR you may appreciate this, I also enjoy seeing the "Bone" in game and watching it taxi and take-off.
Ah, The Angels of Death have arrived! Offer them a spot of tea - they're actually quite friendly once you get to know them.
I've met so many US crew. They're always really friendly 👍
Right On
👍
Notice Sniper targeting pod underneath.....aids targeting, gives GPS co-ordinates and allows weapons guidance.
The plane looked lovely in the sun's rays. Great video!
Thanks Jennifer! 👍
spicy
Most Awesome... Love me some BONE! (that sounds so wrong... lol)
😂😂😂😂
Effing LOVE the run-and-break arrival! I personally only saw these guys doing straight-ins…
They’re so cool. Love to see a big jet like this do an initial 😎
I'm old enough to remember these old ladies from planning to now. They are still beautiful.
I am old enough to remember Carter canceling the B-1A when he was told about Top Secret stealth technology.
Ronnie Raisin approved the B-1B to appease the hawks when the B-2 was delayed.
Thanks for posting this great footage mate. (like the ATC) 💪👍
The bone is back hope to see the fly over the golf course were I work
AMAZING capture! Great video--you were at the perfect spot. Aloways nice to see 2x B-1s. Also, superb channel! You've done a fantastic job over the years. Keep up the stellar work! Just sub'd as well.
Thanks a lot bud. Sorry I missed your comment! Sub'd you too! 👍
Lovely clear comms as well. Love it
The USA airforce's democracy and freedom angels are subduing the enemy without firing a shot perfectly !
😎😎😎
Great Catches
Lovely day for it, excellent shots. I wonder if this is in fact early preparation for an upcoming operation?
Cheers MJ. It’s for Bomber Task Force 2023-3 a long planned deployment, similar to previous deployments at Fairford 👍
Great catch! really well captured, Im hoping for Easterly wind next week so we can have some take-offs in that direction 🤪
How does one know when to be there for a take-off(s)?
Cheers Elwyn. I was hoping the same myself. It's looking good at the moment! 😎
Clear sign of mounting preparations in order to project strength and keep the peace.
I’m in Cheltenham, hopefully I see em, saw a cheeky Eurofighter over here yesterday tho and that’s very rare!
Yeah I saw that. They did a PD into Staverton! 😳 Very rare for that to happen
@@UKAviationMovies very rare over here, I can only remember them coming here once, ran outside with my brother and got locked out 🤦🏻♂️
@@OSFGR4 Nightmare man! I hope it was worth it 🤦♂️
@@UKAviationMovies oh defo
Very nice! Both on the runway shot is a winner!🏆What was it with that heat haze today!
Thanks Saint 👍
Very nice indeed, I'm loving them both on the runway at the same time 👍 that's it, I need to clear some time off for next week, will they be going out daily? 🤔🤞👍
Well, if past deployments are anything to go by they tend to fly 2-3 days a week and have a day or so on the ground. I've had too many days sitting in the Gloucestershire countryside with nothing but birds tweeting! 😂
@@UKAviationMovies thanks for the heads up, I'll try and get a couple of days off and bring the walking boots and binoculars just in case 🤞👍😁
If it wasn't for the swing wings it resembles a grown up Hawker Hunter!
A few people have said that too. I can see it!
Are those birds the ones having been intercepted by russians over the eastern sea ?
Mission accomplished. showing sharp 🦷 to Russia.
Yep they sure were 👍
Why did the fire department not pick up on all the smoke from the one set of wheels, looked hot?
The crew didn't call for assistance so I assume this was no factor. They taxied to the stand and parked up without any issues 👍
I assume they're here as tensions with Russia remain high? It's great the USAF has our backs if anything kicks off.
Long planned BTF deployment Jack 😎👌
Hot brake from 3:45 on port side main gear
Yeah I followed the jet for a lot longer than in this film, but nothing came of it thankfully 😅
