Original spider suit was basically a wing suit that allows him to glide. Armored suit gave him bullet resistance and was stronger overall. Ironspider suit built by stark gave bullet resistance, gliding, and a whole host of other features. Spider armor mark 2 was basically poor man’s iron spider. Etc etc. he’s had several suits that give either resistance to bullets, gliding, or both.
I'ma be real prodigy was probably my favorite suit design wise but yeah mj designing the suit seem like a stretch. It's been a while since I read (like 11 years give or take) so maybe she could've designed the look but peter got the materials

Tasm2? I've been waiting for insomniac to add them to one of the spider-man games. (Meaning, when 1 was still relevant, and now with 2) They're such obvious costume choices. As well as unlimited, captain universe, and and Ben Reilly's OG Spider-Man suit (the one right after scarlet spider)
The choice for the costumes most likely just there to push newest comics and films. Unfortunately they never added my fav Vigilante Spider-Man from his (possibly alternate) future.

Unless they're going for their own clone saga arc and thus, won't give the suit until its immediately relevant, then its nonsensical not to add a suit that'd likely take A LOT less time to set up and get right/ready, than some.of the suits which *_already are_* in the games. Everyone, MJ designed the Ricochet suit too. Which seems to be most people's favorite. It also makes sense that since this is supposed to be Peter's "Superman" persona that she intentionally went over the top with it.

I was actually fun of the pitch-black suit when he tried to be mysterious and Bombastic Bagman. Ricochet is too reminiscent of Spider-Man. And as Bagman, he really had fun.

To be honest, while the "suit" looks bad when you get into the details, it isn't a bad suit concept, especially for it's objective. For one, the body paint and fake nose plays into Mary Jane's picked up knowledge as an actress. The grandiose design, brashness of using bodypaint and minimal clothing plus armor, makes him sound like the kind of guy who was into superhero stuff only for the fame - the opposite of Spiderman
But they didn't show him in a cape in this short. I know later he has one, just not here in the beginning. I remember Prodigy having a cape in a scene in Marvel's Civil war, but that wasn't Peter.

The registration act from civil war? The slingers prodigy got his suit the same way the rest of them did iirc. Either villain or just a power broker (cant rememeber) got ahold of the suits and either sold or gave them to the slingers- as they came to be called. The marvel wiki pages about the slingers and about the original versions of those alter egos are pretty decent in content and accuracy, so far as I recall. It's been awhile.

But the whole reason for the alter egos were for Peter to lay low as Spider-man, not show up as Spiderman light. Stinger, Prodigy and Dusk are separated enough from Spidey no one would suspect.

Tbh looking more at the prodigy suit the gold color clashining a bit much of the silver, sure it meant to be a golden rome like hero. But if you look at it long enough it looks way off of color clashing i say couldve added a bit of black to help to make it a bit better.

Tbh looking more at the prodigy suit the gold color clashining a bit much of the silver, sure it meant to be a golden rome like hero. But if you look at it long enough it looks way off of color clashing i say couldve added a bit of black to help to make it a bit better.
Maryjane might have DESIGNED that suit, but my money is on Peter actually making it. Or at least the cape.

I always found that suit kinda cool, but I did wonder what the face was like. Now knowing it was just body paint all along, makes it a bit weirder.
The muzzle is pretty bad, the fact that it angles down makes it look weird, if the shape of it points up and covers up his nose it would look fantastic
