  • I can hear her voice in my head
Telling me the way that we must go
She's there in the moonlight, in the northstar
Lighting up the way that we must go
    Journeyman
    You've been on million places
    Destinations in your mind
    Journeyman
The only way to face this
Is just one day at a time
I can hear her voice in my head
Telling me the way that we must go
She's here in the room and in her panties
It begins and it must never end
    Journeyman
    You've been on million places
    Destinations in your mind
    Journeyman
The only way to face this
Is just one day at a time
    Journeyman
    Journeyman
    Journeyman
    You've been on million places
    Destinations in your mind
    Journeyman
The only way to face this
Is just one day at a time

That incredible 12-string-Rickenbacker sound is wielded by the Lovetones so perfectly. And their lyric quality almost actually outdoes The Byrds. This is the true psychedelic sound. George Harrison would have totally dug these guys.

One of those rare songs that you can't pinpoint when it was written. Could be 1966, could be 2017. THAT... is the mark of a great song.

If I didn't know better, I would but a year around the 1966-1968 era. I was a teenager for the late 2000s psychedelic revival. Great song.

many a band breaks up because there is usually one guy or two that is the songwriter, and this guy that lives and experiences the struggles of life and love and emotion, who needs and finds that expressing himself in music is how he can communicate and feels a need to contribute to ending or at least comforting human suffering, should rightly so be given credit, He is the one at home with tears down his face with a pistol in his hand and a guitar strapped, tapping the astral Akashic, transcribing demons onto manuscript, pulling light from the blackest darkness while about to be swallowed by the Huge Void of Sadness that is always there. He is in the quickening, like a Mystic. This fucking dude doesn't do it to get laid, to be popular, to be cool. or successful or famous, he does it because he has to and he doesn't know what else to do with his life he wishes to keep enchanted. His life that as he ages becomes so difficult to not become part of the moral majority mediocrity humdrum herd. This man loves real hard and with that he finds that equal and opposite hate and evil and darkness and pitfalls and ruin is always there pushing up against him, and so he learns to embrace adversity and transmute and neutralize. He learns another way to handle situations where he would rather scalp the fuck out of some mother fuckers. This mother fucker aught to get some credit and respect when he shows up to band practice and says, I gotta new song, check it out. He aught to, but rarely does not, and is almost always misunderstood by family and friends outside of music, and he tries, but its a losing battle to want someone you love to know who you are but they are committed to misunderstanding. Back to the band, sometimes its best to say written by the band until the members somehow remember writing and living your songs with their own versions of anecdotes to support their envious claims. Some people are great on their instruments but cant write anything and this frustrates them, so you have to wait til they grow up to know their place. Fuck that, DIY. Bands aught to be commended and honored for their ability to stay together for its hard as hell.

wow...although not english speaking, i hope i got it. commitment is the key. unless smitten by missionary zeal of religious or political kind, our world in demise needs such people with fervour, in any regard.

    I think it's "you've been a million places."
I agree with catattackxx on the paintings line.
