I'm currently in community college in San Diego and i have one more year to go before transferring but your video made me really excited to apply to UCLA & USC :)
I personally think UCLA is way better. UC Berkley is more towards the San Francisco side (I used to live near San Francisco, but moved to North Carolina when I was 11, I'm 13 years old right now and going into high school in August) UCLA is (obviously) near Los Angeles, and the area around is extremely safe, plus, WESTWOOD!! I did lots of research even though I graduate high school in 2025 just because I love planning ahead, and in my opinion, UCLA would be the best to choose if you prefer the glam and social-ness of Beverly Hills, Los Angeles, Santa Monica, etc. I suppose if your more introverted, you should lean towards Berkley, but if your an ambivert or extrovert (like me), UCLA would probably be the best option :)
amazing vid!! I was wondering (if its not too personal) if u could give advice on how you pay for out of state tuition as I would be applying as an out-of-state applicant & I'm worried about the cost. go bruins ! 💙🐻💛
@@fred2995 hmm, I’ll have to look that up... I’ve actually contemplated moving in with family in California for my last two years of high school so that I might be able to qualify for it. 😂🤦🏼♀️ this seems like a much better idea...
Hi! I was admitted to UCLA, but am currently really struggling on what school to pick. I am extremely interested in the Entertainment Industry and would like to pursue a career in Marketing in the Entertainment Industry, like you! So at UCLA I was admitted to the pre business econ major but am trying to choose between that and NYU Stern with a business management major. I know that NYU Stern can allow me to have a concentration in marketing and NYC has a lot of internship opportunities, but I do really like LA and want to get into the Entertainment Industry. I understand that you'd probably not know much about NYU but I was just wondering if you had any advice, and could tell me if the business econ major can prepare you to go into marketing right after graduating.
Hey! I was also just admitted and in my opinion, though UCLA doesn't have a marketing degree, there are probably still so many opportunities that UCLA offers to pursue that career. Also I'd say if you're instate, UCLA might be the better option financially (i'm not sure what your situation is but I know NYU is notorious for having bad financial aid/high student loans). If money isn't an option, I'd probably go with NYU but I think UCLA could also offer many opportunities for you to go into entertainment/marketing!!
lifeofmeili, do you have any advice that you could share with me? Just wondering cause I know you are majoring in business econ and maybe thinking of working in the entertainment industry in the marketing sector. And thank you so much for making this video. It gave me good insight into UCLA. :)
congrats on your acceptances, that's so exciting! I don't have a ton of knowledge about NYU, so I can only speak about my experience at UCLA--but yes, the business economics major prepares you well for the endeavors you mentioned. UCLA also has a variety of clubs to support students/help them gain more opportunities in these fields! I was in a similar situation when deciding what college I wanted to go to. I knew I wanted to go into business, but UCLA doesn't have a business school, so I was quite hesitant about that...but now, after taking some of the pre-reqs for the major, I don't have any regrets and I'm really happy I chose UCLA! It really depends on what you want to pursue, though- everyone has a different experience, but if you want to go into entertainment I'd definitely say UCLA is a great place for that (mostly b/c of the L.A. location, with all the entertainment industries here). For marketing, I think UCLA and NYU are both great places to pursue this! hope this helps :))
Got accepted 😆!! I saw in your cons video that classes can be stressful for students, and that u recommend taking fun/ easy classes. Would an engineer major be able to take those classes, or is it not adviced? Also what happens when u can’t find a class that you really need
congrats on your acceptance, that's so exciting!! yes you can definite take fun/easy classes for GEs! And if you can't get a class you need, you can always ask the professor for a PTE # (petition to enroll number, which allows you to get into the class), or try to get the class next quarter. I also highly recommend planning out your 4 year course schedule with a college counselor during your 1st year here, they're super helpful & give great guidance!
lifeofmeili thank u so much! When’s the earliest I can do that, are counselors always open and free for meetings? Sorry, this seems to be an issue at every school and is even one my sister (who doesn’t go to UCLA) struggles with, and I’m trying to be prepared
@@briannac7848 you can meet them as soon as the school year starts! I have never had trouble scheduling an appointment with them. They are available for drop in advising or scheduled appointments!
lifeofmeili thank u very much, UCLA seems a lot this scary. I am unbelievably excited but nervous, but for now I’m just gonna enjoy the rest of my senior year :P

me too, i live in az and the out of state tuition is just so much higher than in-state.
@@Livvalley maybe you’ll qualify for scholarships both involved and not involved with the UC system?

Have you made a video about the free ticket app? what is the app called? :)
oh not yet but i'll put it on my list :) the app is called 1Iota!
thank you so much this is so helpful !
Hi! Can you recommend some of the easy classes that you took? :)
DESMA 8, CESC 50SL - also a lot of my friends said that POLI SCI 10, PHY SCI 5, ASIA AM 10, any of the SCAND or film classes are easy!
I’m hoping to go to UCLA and be a business economics major, how do u like the classes the major requires and offers?
She made a while video on the business economics/economics program a couple months ago :)
Would it be fine to like skateboard to class and bring it into class or?
yes! I've seen people skateboard & bring it into class many times
What GEs do you recommend?

Isn’t Nia Dennis a gymnast there as well? She’s amazing 😉
yes, she is also so good!! I've actually seen her a few times walking around campus!
Do you think there are a lot of research opportunities for pre-meds ? :))
yes! you have to be proactive and reach out to professors but if you do so then yes!
is biking around UCLA normal? ik it’s so bog
i don't see a ton of bikes, most students use scooters!
Even though UCB is rank top. UCLA seem to be most favorite.
so good 💕
Hi
i got waitlisted :')
UCLA HAS TO CHOOSE ME FIRST
Probably you can add some music, and sit closer to the window.
USC>UCLA
It's a joke relax
