1. I wanted him to be a bigger engine (someone Casey should be intimidated by).
2. 237 never comes back into the plot
3. His backstory is set up but not explained
I figure there were enough reasons for me to justify removing him. I wanted to leave it up to the audience to speculate as to were he could have ended up.
