Thanks for the insight! I was in the market for a handheld pc I ended up keeping the ally x mainly the battery and the ergonomics it feels great playing for hours. I loved the Legion Go for its beautiful screen but it just feels weird holding it 😢 Can't wait for the future of the handhelds hoping it'll be so much better than what it is now plus OLED!

I do feel that Steam Deck Oled is the console to get, to be honest, as long as you are ok with mostly Steam and don’t care about some online games like Fortnite. Legion Go is a really cool device and overall one of the most powerful ones currently out there but I just can’t get over the size of it. At this point it’s not very portable for me. So between the Legion Go and Ally X, I’d go with the X

Exactly why I said in the video that different people are looking into something else so there isn’t a general answer when picking one of these consoles. Now in your case, then Legion Go sounds really good, for the screen size especially. Performance are right there with the Ally X
@@TheTechUnravel yeah its more portable .. ally x few more fps better battery .. but lowering ally at 900p just looks too ugly .. and with this qhd .. helps with that. or 800p no less but yeah sometimes i want thay ally cuz battery 😂😁
@@prestige_killa While still not amazing, the battery on the X is definitely better than on the original one. RAM, ergonomics, SSD improvements are great but the battery life kept me considering not returning it
Out of all the portable pc handhelds, which one is the best. I’ll be using it 95% on dock which will be connected to my monitor and controller. I want the smoothest and best graphical wise, RDR2, Wukong, Space Marine 2 are the single player games I’ll be playing Hunt Showdown, Tarkov and hopefully Forever Winter will be the PVP games I play. Are any handhelds worth it or should I pass on it?
If you are playing 95% docked then maybe you should look into alternatives as well, like a proper PC, just to get more out of it. I still prefer a handheld even so but it depends on you if you want to compromise some performance aspects with using a handheld. If you are ok with that, then I’d get the Ally X. It performs the best from my point of view with Legion Go a close second. With Legion you do get a bigger screen and removable controllers but Ally X is more portable for that 5% of the time you want to use it
I feel like half the time RUclipsrs that oppose the x or say weird shit like I’m gonna return it cuz I already have the old one they’re just trying to start controversy or something.. like sell your old one if you just want one haha like the whole thing makes zero sense haha if you don’t have one do not buy the old one. I promise you it’s night and day for that battery life alone. Lol I upgraded and gave the OG one to my son. It is WAY better. Not for the reasons you think lol.. trust.
I really stand by what I said and it’s my experience, no matter if you like it or not. I’ll not start a controversy just for the sake of a video. These are my personal opinions and they will not align with everyone. Of course I could sell my old one, it’s not like this is new information to me. But considering the price for it it’s so low right now, it’s not really worth it anymore. And I already said in the video that the improvements are definitely there and if you want the best, definitely get it. But me personally, I just love my experience with the original one. I just like it more. And if you don’t agree, then that’s fine. But trust me, the goal wasn’t to start a controversy or something. I bought the X with the goal of keeping it. But in the end I decided to sell. And that’s ok, you don’t have to agree with me
I'm sorry, but, darn I hate to disagree with you, I have the ally z1 base and the black one does look sleeker to me If the sticks, buttons, and dpad were white though? Whole different story.
@@RehnQuihst after owning mine for 2-3 weeks I am also starting to resent the white as it catches too much dirt and that dirt is way more noticeable on white body
@@PoiseMuncher For me it was the opposite. I thought that I will like the black one more but after using it, I enjoy the og white a lot more. It's great that we have the option in the end :)

Since I haven't owned a ROG Ally before the ROG Ally X was announced, I am under the impression that thr Ally X is better for me.
If you don't have one already and just want the best, then absolutely. That's what I said in the video as well. It's definitely a great choice

I played my game call "quiet place" on my z1 extreme. The "Rog x" Jake was much better then z1 extreme. I love my x than the z1 extreme

The main point of portable gaming is to be away from the ac wall port., with 80,000mah, that makes this console, portable. 👍
