I always use the river and khlong buses in BKK. There are interesting bars and restaurants along the Chao Phraya. My favourite is the rustic restaurant at Tha Thewet where locals go and catch the breeze off the river and feed left overs to the catfish waiting below the deck
I've never been to Icon Siam, but after watching this informative video, I will check it out when I'm back in December. I've always avoided going to such places because I always dread getting a taxi and having them upcharge me, and also the traffic I try to avoid.
Went there on a week day in low season a month or so ago. Food court looked good but was so packed and I hate that. Will try and go again some other time.
Love watching ur videos. Im mairred to a beautiful hmong women here in America. Her parents is from laos and her 3rd mom is from Thailand. When im not driving 18 wheeler and have time ill send in my story. U should start up a tour guide. Make some side money. Cheers
@ThailandBound Thanks so much for the info. First time traveller here to Thailand. How about on the river ferries to Grand Palace, Wat Arun, and IconSiam, what is the mode of payment?

@@ThailandBound I’m at the dock now waiting for the boat . I just happen to be be in Bangkok this week and have never been to IconSiam .
@@ThailandBound I took the gold line to the BTS on the way back . Interesting line with 3 stops . Lol
Yes that's a funny little train the first one you get on after Iconsiam
@@ThailandBound yes , it’s kinda like a monorail with wheels . I’m assuming they built it just to get people to IconSiam.
Thanks peter I will use this video to try this out when I go back in November

You absolutely know your way around Bangkok! If you ever come to Philippines, I'll show you all around Manila, Peter..a bit more "hairy", though 😅...
Perfect

Awesome thank you for sharing
You could do guided tours of bangkok
Nah. He's got no work permit. Leave the tours to bkk pat
How much do you suggest to load a Rabbit card for a 5-day BKK DIY stay? Are Rabbit cards useable for both BTS, MRT and ARL?
You cannot use a rabbit card on MRT. 500 Baht should be enough you can always add more if you're running low

Cash is always accepted
That water looks brown.
The sediment on the bottom makes it look that way. Like most rivers
