My husband and I just got back from a trip to Newport and Bean Station. We stayed in a cabin in Newport. I plan on being back permanently soon! We took a lot of winding roads up there. Took us 5 hours to get from Gastonia NC to Newport. Should have only been 3. It was a great trip. TN is beautiful and so laid back. Cannot wait to go back. 😊
Beautiful drive. I've heard they are working on getting I-40 opened up, 1 lane each way where it collapsed, but it won't be fully repaired for at least a year. I was amazed at how fast Newport got the downtown area cleaned up and how fast Newport Utilities got power and water restored.
No doubt Kody recognized the scent, probably way back when you entered Tennessee. They have amazing scent, recall & direction. I used to take my poodle everywhere. He put his front paws on the arm rest and sat on my left hip. He was a statue, wouldn't flinch for as many hours as it took to get to our destination. Even if someone was in the passenger seat, he wouldn't sit with them. He needed to be by the window looking out by me. He was so balanced @ 8lbs...lol. But he knew miles before we would reach the familiar destination. He would get all perked up, start to whimper a little with excitement. Dogs are extraordinary with super powers, really! Thank for the nice/relaxing ride with lovely scenery...
$6.90 is the comparable price per gallon for gas (we call it petrol) in the UK! Lucky for you guys in the USA for having such lower gas prices! I am told 97% to 98% of the pump price in the UK is fuel tax. Cheers from London UK, Pam ❤

I figure so, but after he got so sick with stress colitis after our move, i realized things affect him more than i thought, and i don't want him stressed like that and sick again. 🩷🩵
There was a man on video yesterday in NC said there is group of young men were volunteering looking for any survivors in the flood zone. When they came back to the area where they were sorting supplies, etc. One particular young man that came back to where they started from seemed very upset and very quiet. One of the young man told the man that is doing videos on utube, etc., they young man told him they could smell a horrible smell and saw several dead bodies they even seen dead bodies up in the trees. What he saw that made him sick, was a bear sniffing around the tree and he was eating the people in the tree!! The guy doing the utube said this guy was still upset what he saw. I know I can’t imagine seeing a bear eating the people that died a horrific death. I then started thinking how many people will never be found due to the bears and other animals eating these people and spreading the bones around the area!!! I felt sick for hours thinking about this!!! I am heart broken fir all these people that didn’t survive!! Who would ever think you would die this way!!!

I live in California and gas here is $5.69 a gallon. I can’t remember when it was $2 something a gallon but it was many years ago.
