- Chris Rhoad of Studio Rhoad presents a 4K driving experience for your listening pleasure. A trip to the Tail of the Dragon is heightened by a SOUL Performance Exhaust System on his recently acquired 981 Cayman.
Following the success of our Valved Exhaust and its ability to fight drone, we wanted to offer a lighter, valveless version that offers an invigorating exhaust note (just like valves open mode on our Valved Exhaust) at all times with the least amount of undesirable elements like droning and rasp. This system is perfect for those who crave an aggressive sound to pair with aftermarket headers and not have it be overbearingly loud. The volume level is delightfully greater than that of PSE (Porsche Sport Exhaust) with valves open while retaining a refined exhaust note. This system is also beneficial for track cars looking for maximum flow in an exhaust but must mind decibel readings. The mufflers are incredibly effective at minimizing drone and encourage a fuller, more robust tone befitting of a Porsche.

My 2014, 981, 275 h.p., pdk is the best of the best open road driving experience for me. From day #1 when I purchased it new back in 2013 I knew I would always have something special. Initially, I purchased it because everybody and his brother had Corvettes. To this day, I still get thumbs up from complete strangers out on the road.

Is this the 2.7L or the 3.4L S model? I just got out of my friends 2012 Cayman S with the 3.4L - I had it for a few days... this sounds SO similar but I see no S badge on the back of the car in the video. Amazed. Thinking about getting a 981 base with the 2.7 so I can actually get the manual transmission. I can count on both hands how many manual transmission cayman S cars there are on the market at any given time. Not to mention they want $20-30k over a PDK car. Maybe this exhaust and a tune?! Crossing my fingers.

I have a 2014 Base with PDK, get it, I ordered the PSE 2 weeks ago, GET IT!
Get the 2.7 manual, I waited a while and got the S and yes it's great but it still feels like too much power for the street and yeah there is a big premium for the 6spd 3.4, idk if worth it tbh.
Is this the Soul exhaust and stock headers?
Will you get this same sound from the Soul valved exhaust in the open setting?
This is stock headers and Performance Exhaust (non-valved). This system would be just slightly louder than SOUL Valved Exhaust with valves open, but you could expect the same overall experience! Definitely give us a call to chat if you have more questions, we're happy to help! -Mike
Don't 981 Cayman's not come with an LSD? Isn't that an option but is standard on GTS? I think it's almost impossible to find a 981 Cayman S with LSD?
It's an option - Porsche Torque Vectoring (PTV). I'm going to look at an S with that option this weekend myself! -Mike
Dope. I just think the tips are a little too big.
Thank you! There is around a half inch of depth adjustment for the tips, these are moved out on the far end. We offer different styles and can customize the tips to stick out less as well.
