Tjena! Skittrevlig video! Tack!
So I never found a good use for the Polar fleece jacket. I've had mine for a few years now and I really wanted to like it, but frankly it's too hot and bulky for a mid layer. In arctic conditions, I want a parkas jacket for protection (I use the Polar Guide Parka or the thinner Barents Parka). Having this underneath would boil me alive. Using it under a shell like a Greenland jacket or an eco-shell doesn't really make sense to me, a down jacket is way more comfortable and agile.
So I tend to use it like you do in this video, alone with a t-shirt underneath, but that really only works on days without any wind. As soon as there a gust of wind I'm freezing in this fleece. There is no wind resistance what so ever. The Singi Fleece Jacket is the best fleece Fjälläven made - shame it is discontinued.
So cool that you actually have one! I understand what you mean, it's really a unique garment with a specific purpose. I find myself using it a lot, I do live down south in Sweden so the winters here don't tend to be too extreme, for me its perfect to use when i'm going in and out from warm to cold! thanks for your input brother!
I have had this jacket in green for a few years now and I love it and feels indestructible.
However, I have to agree with SalatbarAndreas concerning the wind resistance or lack of, but when worn underneath my Singi Anorak It's fantastic.
Thanks for the input brother! :)
Another in the Not-selling-it-to-the-US lineup of items. Not sure if it's better to be listed as "Sold Out" in every size and colorway like the UK page, or just have it be missing entirely from the webpage like the US store. Disappointing! Your Sverige pronunciation of Polar is, however, worth the price of admission! Looks like a nice piece for laying up in winter camping. I am slightly ahead of you in re-bearding for winter adventures. ;)
I hope they do bring it back! I do practice pronunciation every day! :) I got a haircut just today, trimmed down the beard too.. funny how the barber told me it was longer on one side when he was the one doing the job last time…. :)
How is it with repelling hair, lint and other pesky things that like to stick to jackets?
I haven’t had a problem with it!
I love/hate the labels on all the Fjällräven products. I like seeing the name and info, but they're always so many of them and so long. The same labels even on a headband!
great point, I think some of them need to be there but I cut most of them off right away. Maybe like a small QR code thing would be good to get all the info you'd need. we should start our own company!
@@TedWeirumyes, and our corporate dress code: tights. 🤸🏾
I tried removing the labels from my pack down hoodie by cutting the single line of stitching that appeared to hold them in place only to find out that they are sewn in with the structural seam that holds the jacket together. I got the tags out, but I also got a 2” hole in the side of the jacket. Whoops! Local Fjallraven store stitched it back up for me. Do not recommend! Lol
Sounds like stuff I’d do!
@@GetUpTheMountains I'm always very careful to check for that first, Adidas are also notorious for this same thing. Some brands will incorporate tearaway tags that don't even need scissors or a seam ripper, but it's still worth it to surgically investigate before.
great fleece, available nowhere lol
That's how i love to make my videos, just tease people all day! :)
😂 I hope that won't disapoint you but I am not interested in a Polar Fleece Jacket at all - I just watch your videos because they are so entertaining. This been said - how is the chocolate bar : pocket - ratio?
hahaha, the nasty chocolate will not fit, it's been scientifically proven! to be honest I think most people stay on the channel for a good laugh every once in a while, people love seeing a person who doesn't know when to quit! hahah
@@TedWeirum so please never quit 😄
Thanks for the review! Sad that it's not available in the US
hope it comes back!
Is this jacket still available?
Can’t seem to find it anywhere! :(
Great review and the fleece looks really warm and comfy.Stay warm and have a wonderful Weekend.
You to brother! always appreciate your comments!
Depends where you swim, if you are in Zanzibar where the water is 30C I guess it's ok 🤭🤭🤭🤭🤭
I meant to go there first but then I realized that I needed to make this review so I had to stay cold! ;)
Gore-tex that is also insulated could work with this Polar fleece instead of duck down because the moisture will escape the fleece and also the Gore-tex. Fjallraven instead has Eco shell and or soft shell but they are both soft material non insulated. Arcteryx and Fjallraven don't mix but if they did, than that would solve it.
Agreed! :)
It's good to see you again brother. I hope you are doing well. I guess I missed the video of you in tights... I'm ok with that though 🤣 Looks like a great fleece jacket for a mid-layer during a northern Minnesota winter. They are out of stock on the link you provided, and I can't find them for sale in the US either. I'll put one on my Christmas list, Santa Clause hasn't brought me anything in years (probably not on the nice list 😅) so maybe this time 😁 Thanks for sharing and Happy Holidays my friend.
hahaha, all good here my friend! how are you? bit cold for tights nowadays so I took my chance while I had it! I know all about not being on the nice list! :)
This looks really nice, but doesnt seem to be available any more 😪
Afraid that’s the case. :/
been looking around for pile jackets, but I would prefer pertex or something more wind/water resistant
Makes sense! :)
It sucks that, that jacket isn’t available in America!! Boo!
NOT EVEN IN TEXAS!? people told me it was the home of the brave and the land of the free! somebody need to get this jacket over there!
Excellent fleece. So this was filmed before your Polar video, which this fleece would a superb choice for. It looks super warm and comfortable. I don't recall seeing it at our local store looked? Might be a regional thing. Looked like you were contemplating some serious choices in life, ha. Peace
exactly! hahaha, love looking like im thinking on camera! :)
How did I miss this video? It’s hilarious 😂 well done brother for getting in 💪🏼
The pleasure was all mine brother! :)
I'll be checking this out as a better option than north face Denali. Thanks
cool! haven't tried that one!
We did, but you can't buy it anymore so its a bit double isn't it.
a bit.. I hope they bring it back!
Sweet thanks. Keep up the good vids.
thanks for your comment brother! :)
Looks like an excellent winter layer
Agreed! :)
Its sold out everywhere
looks like it! for now at least!
Is it windproof?
I wouldn't say so, this is meant to be a middle layer in arctic conditions :)
Great looking jacket!
Do I say thanks here? I think I do, thanks! :)
What size are you wearing?
M
@@TedWeirum thank you for your quick reply. Great review.
Anytime!
🤠❤️

$350 for a fleece jacket 😅 you are on Crack
I’m high on life, have yet to try crack!
This middle layer is obviously not for you, hope you find something that’s a better fit!
