    Tjena! Skittrevlig video! Tack! Jag har lyckats hitta en Polar Fleece till salu. Så, nu undrar jag: Du svarat skrivit "Storlek M" i trådarna ovan. Hur lång och tung är du, om man får fråga?!
    Ha det!

    So I never found a good use for the Polar fleece jacket. I've had mine for a few years now and I really wanted to like it, but frankly it's too hot and bulky for a mid layer. In arctic conditions, I want a parkas jacket for protection (I use the Polar Guide Parka or the thinner Barents Parka). Having this underneath would boil me alive. Using it under a shell like a Greenland jacket or an eco-shell doesn't really make sense to me, a down jacket is way more comfortable and agile.
    So I tend to use it like you do in this video, alone with a t-shirt underneath, but that really only works on days without any wind. As soon as there a gust of wind I'm freezing in this fleece. There is no wind resistance what so ever. The Singi Fleece Jacket is the best fleece Fjälläven made - shame it is discontinued.

      So cool that you actually have one! I understand what you mean, it's really a unique garment with a specific purpose. I find myself using it a lot, I do live down south in Sweden so the winters here don't tend to be too extreme, for me its perfect to use when i'm going in and out from warm to cold! thanks for your input brother!

      I have had this jacket in green for a few years now and I love it and feels indestructible.
      However, I have to agree with SalatbarAndreas concerning the wind resistance or lack of, but when worn underneath my Singi Anorak It's fantastic.

    Another in the Not-selling-it-to-the-US lineup of items. Not sure if it's better to be listed as "Sold Out" in every size and colorway like the UK page, or just have it be missing entirely from the webpage like the US store. Disappointing! Your Sverige pronunciation of Polar is, however, worth the price of admission! Looks like a nice piece for laying up in winter camping. I am slightly ahead of you in re-bearding for winter adventures. ;)

      I hope they do bring it back! I do practice pronunciation every day! :) I got a haircut just today, trimmed down the beard too.. funny how the barber told me it was longer on one side when he was the one doing the job last time…. :)

    I love/hate the labels on all the Fjällräven products. I like seeing the name and info, but they're always so many of them and so long. The same labels even on a headband!

    • @TedWeirum
      @TedWeirum  Год назад +2

      great point, I think some of them need to be there but I cut most of them off right away. Maybe like a small QR code thing would be good to get all the info you'd need. we should start our own company!

      I tried removing the labels from my pack down hoodie by cutting the single line of stitching that appeared to hold them in place only to find out that they are sewn in with the structural seam that holds the jacket together. I got the tags out, but I also got a 2” hole in the side of the jacket. Whoops! Local Fjallraven store stitched it back up for me. Do not recommend! Lol

      @@GetUpTheMountains I'm always very careful to check for that first, Adidas are also notorious for this same thing. Some brands will incorporate tearaway tags that don't even need scissors or a seam ripper, but it's still worth it to surgically investigate before.

    Gore-tex that is also insulated could work with this Polar fleece instead of duck down because the moisture will escape the fleece and also the Gore-tex. Fjallraven instead has Eco shell and or soft shell but they are both soft material non insulated. Arcteryx and Fjallraven don't mix but if they did, than that would solve it.

    It's good to see you again brother. I hope you are doing well. I guess I missed the video of you in tights... I'm ok with that though 🤣 Looks like a great fleece jacket for a mid-layer during a northern Minnesota winter. They are out of stock on the link you provided, and I can't find them for sale in the US either. I'll put one on my Christmas list, Santa Clause hasn't brought me anything in years (probably not on the nice list 😅) so maybe this time 😁 Thanks for sharing and Happy Holidays my friend.
