Cool, you've done it! Watching it now. Already spotted so many people I know! (I think the chap, who got away from you after the boat (how bizarre!) was Graham from Chorley. He sneakily disappeared out of my view during Kinder Scout fell race on Sunday.
So cool to get a new perspective on Fell Racing! Olga does a wonderful job documenting these, so it's wonderful to get more here! Thanks so much for sharing!
It was good conditions. I don't often do organised fell races just out by myself or with friends. Think I should do it more often. Best wishes on the fells to you.
It looked like a great day for it, loving the colours & the sky. Good to see your spirits lift when the guy started chatting to you at the boat & top job with getting it done Nigel 😀
Thank you for your comment. It was a lovely clear night. Would be even tougher with high winds and the rain lashing down. I wonder how that boat got up there. Best wishes to you and your lovely village.
Looked like a nice, little town and a beautiful course in the countryside. Those hills would have been a challenge, but fun time nonetheless. Thanks for sharing!
Hi, sorry about the late reply on this one, missed it somehow. Hills are tough but I think you would do great. I think the muscles adapt so I think people who want to specialise on road running generally keep away. I have heard serious level swimmers don't swim in the sea for the same reason, different adaptations for choppy waters. Best wishes out there.
@@reluctantfellrunner I don’t specialise in anything 😆 but I much prefer trail races to road races. Hills are my enemy but the more I do the less I dislike them….
I watched start to finish, loved it, the one liners, the tenacity, the random sinking feeling, and what the...... was a boat doing up there? Was it high tide? Kudos for entering and taking part, and congratulations for getting through it. I certainly couldn't, so I tip my cap to you. Thanks for sharing.
It's been a while since I did a fell race. At least this one was marked out...even with a boat ha ha. Have you got a GoPro on a selfie stick for recording? Well done for getting out there and doing it. I'll follow you for the next one 👍
Hi Hiking Hermit. Thanks for stopping by. I use a Sony x300. It's an old design. Positives are pretty good picture and stabilisation. Negative is that its not water proof and would be fiddly if you wanted to stop and zoom. Best wishes to your channel and your adventures.
@@reluctantfellrunner I do parkrun pretty much every week and I'm in Scotland in a couple of weeks so was thinking of recording the run. I was going to go with the head mount with a GoPro 🙂
27 Like very nice video 💯☕👍🙋🏻♀️
Thanks. Best wishes to you.
Great sharing my friend
Sorry for the late reply. Missed this! Best wishes to you.

Sorry for the late reply. Missed this! Best wishes to you.
That looks a lot of fun. I'd love to try something like that. You got a great day for it. Well done 👍🏻🏃♂️
Thanks Mark. Yes it was great conditions. Not like that all year round, that's for sure. Best wishes to you.

Well organised and hosted, thank you.
Thanks for this! I was behind you. Nice to relive a stunning evening on the fells.

Thanks. Different when the weather comes in! Best wishes to your training.
Wonderful film for those of us who live here but rarely get to know the route. What a stunning night for it as well.

@@reluctantfellrunner will try to find out about the boat!
Hi. Fair play for taking part and going out of your comfort zone. I have great admiration for you guys who are able to run across the mountains. 👍
Thanks Andrew. Slow and steady for me. Don't know what that boat was doing up there. Best wishes.
Great run! 👏 Looked like a quality little event and a lovely little village. There was some stunning views out on the fells. Huge kudos! 👏🏅😎🤘
Thanks Ben. I'm okay on distance but not fast like these whippets! Hope you are better soon.

Thanks Artful. Always tough on the hills. Good weather though. Good luck with your training.
This looked like a great run!
Thanks Wright Life. Thought I would take a break from writing about it to actually do it! Best wishes out there.
That race looks fun, keep going at it
Thanks Alperen. Best wishes to you and your channel
I need to do more trail/fell races and running. Well done Nigel, great effort!

Thanks. Best wishes to you too.
Well done and congrats, Nigel! What the heck is the boat doing there in the midway of the course? 😲
Hi Thomas. Yes, the mind boggles how it got over the rough ground and what the point was. Best wishes.

@@TheHikingHermit Sounds like a good idea. Will leave the arms free to swing naturally!
I enjoyed looking for the scarecrows…. Kinda like “where’s Waldo.” Why is it called a “fell race?”
Hi Sweet Life, thanks for stopping by. Fells are hills, mountains. Yes there were plenty more scarecrows I missed. Best wishes to you.
