i thank my dog for letting me know what it is like to be loved.
When I was younger this dog would constantly show up at our house over like a three day period. We nicknamed him, and I wanted him soooo badly. And though my mom took him in, she made it clear it was just until we found his family. We lived in the country, and so everyone knew each other. It didn't take long for my dad and mom to figure out who was missing a yellow lab. I was at school when they came and got him. Broke my heart saying goodbye that morning. But about two years later we were at a pumpkin patch at one of the farms just up the road, and this dog runs up to me, and kinda lays down at my feet super excited, and I immediatly thought "That looks a lot like T.J!". This couple walks up to us, apologizing, and suddenly there's this exchange of "Oh my gosh! it's so good to see you!". I had no clue who it was, because I wasn't there the day the couple came to pick him up, but it was T.J. I was so happy to see him again, and he 100% singled us out and remembered us. They had another dog with them, who was apparently one of T.J's love children....er..love puppy?.. from another time he escaped and had a little romantic getaway with one of their neighbors dogs. Needless to say, dogs are smart. They remember those whom love them and are good to them.
