Napoleon's Infantry Strategy in Battle

Napoleon's line infantry was founded on the troops of the Ancien Régime. Total reorganization began on 1 January 1791 with the abolition of the old regimental titles, and over the next two years more and more battalions of conscripts and volunteers were formed.
