I miss my home fr !!! I’m happy the carnival is coming back but by bit for those who asked why it’s called the biggest street party well because it’s a whole month of different activities not just the carnival parade. It starts off after the AIDS initiative walk then there is the lighting of the Christmas tree football matches Christmas concert, gospel concert, utomo Obong ( yearly Yuletide visit tot he Obong of calabar ) two carnivals one up north in (ogoja) and the biggest one, the childrens carnival, the cultural carnival, international carnival (which was cancelled this year, Miss Africa beauty pageant ( that was also cancelled) the bikers parade and the Main Street party. Then moves on to the carnival after party, Nyoro ekpe and ends on the first of January with Nkod mbok. As at the time carnival started it was called the biggest street party so 💁🏾♀️
The rest of my brothers and sisters may not see what you Chinese are doing in Africa, but I see through you people. It would be nice if you stopped treating black people badly in their own land. You are watching because you want to come and set up a shop so you can make money from black people and send the money back to China. To enrich your country. You people come to Africa and set up your own police station and military. How can that be? Can a black man come to China and buy out hectors of land and mistreat a Chinese in their own land. You people want to recolonize Africa. I don't know why the leadership allows you people to have such economic freedom and power in Africa. Black man, open your eyes. Nobody likes us. We are all we have. Unite and have one voice.
Whaoo Whaoo Whaoo Nigeria is the best Country Created by God in the World and Continent of Africa Very Colourful and Amazingly Cultural Presentation Well done 💕💕🥰
Cameroonians are basically Nigerians living in another country that is only few kilometers away from Nigeria, so Steven don’t be surprised to see them being part of the carnival, especially those in the English region, we have a lot in common. We are actually more closer to Cameroonians than Ghanaians.
That’s very true, the Anglo Cameroonians were once part of Nigeria but voted to join the French speakers in 1960 after Nigeria got its independence. The north west cameroons voted to remain in Nigeria and became adamawa state. The south west still remains very Nigerian in character and culture and the people tend to speak like Nigerians.
There’s So much intelligence and talent being exhibited in the carnival. Every performance, custom, make up, float, artistry is an interpretation of the carnival theme for the year… it’s still the biggest and most colorful street party in Africa . I love where I’m.
Once they’re done fixing the calabar Eastern and western train station, a lot of Nigerians will troop in, cost of fuel made me to miss it, traveling from Lagos is like traveling to London ❤️❤️
This is No doubt the Biggest Carnival in whole of Africa even tough the State Organizers didn't do enough publicity about it. Can you imagine the beautiful Costumes, unique designs all of them are presenting.
Wow. This is trully beautiful and it has to be made known to the world outside. Nigerians are the pride of AFRIKA. If only they could end corruption… Much love from the Senegambia ❤️
I love this vlog The calabar carnival is a festival I want to attend in my lifetime, I've always been fascinated about it since I was a kid. Thank you Steven for fueling that desire and waking it up. The way I scream when I saw Efa Iwara ehhh it's so good of him to attend. Thank you Steven I appreciate this ❤
@@StevenNdukwuYour video’s are Greatly appreciated. Your SA video was a useful tool . I used it as my personal tour guide while visiting SA with my Mother . Thanking you from 🇺🇸😄✌🏽‼️ Keep up the Great Work 🙌🏽🙌🏽
Hello Steve do u remember me, I’m the guy who met u and said hey I watch your videos at Marian road at calabar I wish I could get a picture but u were so busssyyy man😂.. much love from calabar ✨
Steve i’ve lived in calabar for over 10 years and attend this event every year,i must say watching you make a video on the streets of my city, while capturing the essence of this event so well has made me realize how well made your videos and content are..unfortunately for the first time in over 5 years i couldn’t attend this year,i’m sure i would’ve sighted you on the streets keep it up.
The carnival was one I enjoyed so much this december💃, I vlogged my whole trip and experience too😂. I came for the 2022 carnival also that was my first time coming to calabar and I loved it so much. Can’t wait to experience 2024 carnival😂💗
This is a very good display of the real african culture and dressing. It is however an isolated display of only one set of people. I guess it's just the starting point of a national festival. It should be expanded to the other Nigerian culture and Africans to make it a legitimate African festival. There's so much embedded in Nigeria and Africa as a whole to reveal and display to the whole world. For now, it's just an isolated calabe show.
First let me say without a doubt this is a great video, well done all around , the music track correlates with the slowing down and stopping the video. Excellent Steven
