Great video, never been to Liquor Barn! Been wanting to try a maple finished bourbon, might have to check out that Jeppsons. Also I agree with Courage and Conviction, loved all of their offerings, and the VA cabaret finish was also very good.
Need to try this store. Your pick was really good! I put 2 oz in a glass with a cane sugar cube and a Luxardo and let it rest for 10 min. Very tasty! Drank my first pour neat and love the heat of the Ludens. It’s what a cough drop should have tasted like. Keep it up!
That Redbreast PX at $99 is a steal! The RBCS at $89 is a fantastic price too, especially if you can find any B1/21 lying around...absolute sherry and vanilla bomb.
@@BondingOverBourbon sorry I am up in Manitoba Canada. I tried Bowmore 18 and hated the medicinal taste. I was worried trying this Laphroig and I just love it. The 10 year sherry cask is also great.
I was at this place maybe a few weeks or a month ago. The manager was a complete dick to me just because I wanted to buy more than one bottle out of the case, claiming it was limit one bottle out of the case even though there is no sign anywhere stating that. So I'm not surprised they haven't allowed you to film in there until now that you know someone that works there. I could tell he was trying to steer me away from a particular bottle in the case so I made sure to buy that one. Also they are expensive. That Redbreast 27yr is $600 everywhere I've seen it, these guys want $900 lol. And their Four Roses single barrel pick is $115 even though everywhere else charges $99 for their 4R picks. And I've seen a ton of 4R store picks everywhere recently.
As you where scanning bottles I saw something I recommend HUDSON WHISKEY AND RYE The one I like the most was the rye called BACK ROOM DEAL finished in Scotch barrels . I also have a bottle of there Bourbon BRIGHT LIGHTS, BIG BOURBON
Thanks for another interesting vid. I've been to that store. It's gigantic. I'm not courageous enough to branch out to anything besides Irish and Scotch whiskeys. I don't care much for Scotch. It's interesting to hear your comments on the international stuff.
Thanks for all the feedback! We're going to release a Japanese Whisky for Bourbon Drinkers episode on our memberships channel soon. It might change your mind a bit.
I saw a Glenfarclas 17 for $156 the other day. The 105 was $136. Those prices you are showing are incredible. What's strange is that most other Scotch seem in line and nothing special. I want to thank you for the Method and Madness recommendation. I've only seen it once in my area but since it's another Midleton brand I know it will be on shelves soon enough. That's definitely on my list
At 5:15 and 6:25 your mic muffles and we couldn't hear what you were saying about the whiskey. I think at 5:15 maybe you just forgot to turn down the music though. Just giving you all a heads up. Great video as usual though! 😊
OK, I have a serious question. If you stopped buying any more bottles of whiskey today, roughly how long would it take to consume all the bottles in your inventory. I did my personal calculations and I am holding off on purchases. Like the vids of your hunts and reviews.
@frankarev4920 really depends on how often/heavily I'm drinking. At the current rate (and assuming I'm not sharing) I would take me quite a few months, but probably not more than a year

Great video guys, glad you were able to make it out to the store. Cheers!
Thanks again for helping us make it happen. We couldn't have done it without you.
Pretty good selection 👌, Cheers 🥃 Great video too 😉👍
Thanks for watching!

Old Smokey Banana Cream Pie is good. Mix it with peanut butter whiskey. Tasty stuff!
Sounds like a fun time
Definitely agree on that New Riff 8 yrs!!
It's so good and very slept on.
Huge selection at this store. Would have like to have seen the tier and mash bill of the Four Roses Single Barrel/Barrel Proofs.
We were told that nobody buys the regular ones anymore, only the BPs. If people want to see them, we can oblige.
@@BondingOverBourbon HI, I was talking about the barrel proofs.
@@iceman2796 The pick at this store is: OESF - Aged 11yr 2mo - C75% R20% B5% and 61.2% ABV - Warehouse: NS - Barrel: 90-4 L

I'm glad that you enjoyed our pick! I'll have to try it the way you did and see what that tastes like.
Thanks for sharing..

Well, that's just great. Now my FOMO is showing.
The Laphroaig Cairdeas Port and Madeira Finsh is a must buy. Its so good, the perefect pour to end a night of sipping
What does Madeira and Port do to the peat flavor?
@@BondingOverBourbon to me they both compliment each other. You get the sweet notes from the port influence and the Smokey peat. But it’s balanced
Sounds like something I might be into. Thanks for the recommendation! If you're local to Chicago, do you know of any bars that carry it?

@rsr3162000 Thanks to tuning in while so far away from Chicago. Really happy to see people from other countries watching our content.

Really want to try that New Riff 8 year
It's a very solid pour. Definitely worthy of a spot on your shelf
I need to dive back into Scotch… haven’t had any in a while
Same! Now that we know about some of these ASM brands, we might start grabbing a few.

Thanks CJ. I let the Adobe AI run a vocal keynote detection and it looks like it missed those.

I don't like this game 😂
It's probably not long enough. Thanks for your support 🙏
@@BondingOverBourbon How about a guess just for fun. If a zombie apocalypse where to happen, my bottle would have to be 3-4X than current level.

How do you feel the selection compares to Binny’s in Vernon Hills and Gold Eagle in Libertyville?
Hard to say really. The sheer scale of this place feels larger than both, separately.
I use to drink Johnny Walker black a lot…
Idk if anyone else feels this way, but the commentary over feels very odd. Just not a big fan.
Our channel may not be for everyone, but we'll be here for you when you change your mind.
The Laws Four Grain Bourbon (next to Larceny) is Delicious! The bottle on the shelf was batch 29, and I just finished mine! Try it!
We're not the biggest fan of Laws. We don't really care for the burnt Matzah taste of the Four Grain
@ ha! Burnt matzoh. Interesting. I haven’t picked that taste up, I have a 4 grain bottled in bond. I’ll see if I notice it. Thanks.
